I came across the name of J Golden Kimball while searching for something completely different. It made me curious to find out that they had a cursing General Authority at all, so I had to listen to this talk and cried from laughing, what a hilarious guy, shows that humour can build bridges and heal. What a gem! ❤
Here's a story you may not of heard. Sometime ago my grandfather took my dad to visit Grand Pa's uncle, J Golden Kimball at the new church office building. Golden must have looked out of place behind that big fancy desk. and grandfather asked him: "Golden how do you like your new office." and J Golden Kimball replied, "I'd rather park my ass in a tent and have the money it took to build this place go to the poor" CK
Wow, fantastic man! I just came across this talk, it’s the best one I’ve heard, ever, he was a stand-up comedian but with a strong faith, I wished we would still be able to hear those kinds of talks!
People in his time were very pragmatic. They didn't believe in complicated language and preferred to say what they felt was important in a conversation.
Excellent talk! This had my husband laughing joyously. Thank you.
I wish I could hear more of his speeches of him actually talking.
