I always love watching videos about handbag journeys. I didn’t get my first luxury bag until I was 50 and that was my neverful that I’ve never used. Lol! I’d love to see some content about starting your journey with contemporary brands wit like coach, Michael, Kors, and Dooney and Bourke. I still appreciate a good coach bag. I was heavily collecting DB Disney bags for a while and now they are just collecting dust. Did you ever get into Dooney and Bourke?

I hope Louis Vuitton will come out with a Speedy 25 or 30 crossbody in the multicolor and leave off all the heavy hardware. I think they would sell GREAT.
Hi Deb, it is so hard to let go of bags. I sold 3 LV bags this year, I always have some regret, but eventually I move on. Like you, one of them was the reverse monogram Pochette Metis. My newest bag is the mirror Speedy 20, she is absolutely darling, not so much an everyday bag, but I adore her! You have a beautiful collection, and this makes room for bags that you love now :)
I recently purchased a vintage 2004 LV Monogram Papillon 30. I absolutely love this barrel shaped bag. It is in absolutely amazing condition. I am guessing it sat unused in the dust bag in someone’s closet for 20 years. I paid less than $600 for it and couldn’t be happier with the quality of materials, bag structure, and construction.
If you feel nostalgic over the Alma, just look at a picture of it, wallow in the nostalgia for a couple of minutes then remind yourself why you sold it. That’s all it takes. Same with the multicolour. Marketing uses nostalgia to tug at the heart strings to make us buy now and then we realise the item doesn’t work for us 20 years on. You did well to sell them on.
It's taken me a long time to realize that shoulder bags and hand/crook of arm bags are not for me. I'm a crossbody or tote person these days. I think my shoulders are now slightly downsloped (isn't aging grand, lol) so shoulder bags just slip and slide off and I find that annoying. I don't seem to have the same annoyance with totes but I generally use them to haul more stuff than normal so I guess the weight keeps it on my shoulder. 🤷🏻♀️
I think you made a good decision on the Alma. To me it looks dated. Prob next Alma would be better in a pop of color. All good decisions. I love my speedy B30 in DE.

I bought a MG speedy this year as an everyday bag….and I LOVVVVVVEEEEE ITTTTTTTTT!!!! L.O.V.E. I.T! It’s the bestest everyday ever! I got mine in a Speedy 35, literally everywhere I go I get compliments for it….i think the 35 is a more novel size and these days with the big bags being in style, people are almost mesmerized by mine🙃🫣😎…a lady chased me down a grocery aisle to ask me if she could take a photo of my bag and asked me the name of it, the size of it, even the price of it👻🥴…..people at check out counters. I am really really enjoying it!
@ trust me you will love it….its such an easy everyday bag…and very trendy these days thanks to Pharrell reviving the Speedy! It’s practical and fuss free….the 35 can get a little heavy though….so do keep that in mind…I don’t fill it up too much so it works perfectly for me….i am so glad I chose this size, in my opinion the 35 has so much more oomph than the smaller speedies! I also only shoulder carry it…so if you want for cross body specifically then consider that aspect too! Good luck! ❣️
