I was a member of bethel temple cogic elder c h jones in early 70's our choir would go sing at Washington. Temple cogic in those days Timothy wright would sitting at the organ singing that song we use to have a time he and I min almsteed got ordained the same night.

It was a choir who did that song here in Benton Harbor back in the 80's Bethelhem Temple now Greater Grace Temple under the leadership of Elder George Dewberry. I was trying to make a copy of the tape and recorder ate the tape.
Yeah if you look at the liner notes in Ricky's album you'll see Timothy Wright's name. Ricky probably only writes about 30%-40% of his material. I like this version just as much as his.

I'd rather have true Apostolic authority than churches full of fornication, adultery, drunkards, pillheads, etc. There would be a lot more carefulness and true holiness if we could get back to the true fear and reverence of God that comes through Apostolic authority and the operation of the Holy Ghost. When these things happened in the book of Acts, the bible says "and great fear came upon all the church".

You say old school to many today, and they may remember Commisioned, CeCe and Vicki Winans or something. Well, with Vicki, they may have had a taste of the old time way. You know Vicki can Church!
"The Old Time Way" ain't nothing but nostalgia for a time when a specific person felt a certain way about the style of the time. Old time is different for someone in their 80s vs someone in their 40s. People always do that. God ain't no different. In fact...most blacks lament about Old Time which was nothing but more church repression, actually. I personally like these days of the great "choirs"....but that has passed and I must go on.
