I have been living in Marin for something like 9 years - the past two and one-half years in San Anselmo. It is such a beautiful place. One thing you did not mention are the trees here - given the older houses the trees are quite mature and you see some very substantial large redwood trees towering above these very well-built old and beautiful wooden houses and these incredible and tall valley oaks whose branches spread out high above and frame the sky. There are also very impressive bay trees here and there - some of the largest I have ever seen. There are good views of Mt. Tam in the distance although the immediate height is called Bald Hill which sits behind town center. I am now moving to an area in San Rafael called Santa Venetia which looks to be a very different class of people and is built on an old marsh near China Camp. More room. Thanks!

But, I'll take note to add that when I next make a San Anselmo video as well as some of the other towns with those same pluses. I hope you enjoy Santa Venetia. I do love hiking in China Camp. :)
