As a fellow goalkeeper, that diving technique is correct because you don’t injure your arms but the thing is I would catch it so there wouldn’t be a rebound
Instead if u r diving right have ur left hand at the top like usual and the right hand cross it over your stomach so if u miss the ball you have the other hand
Try to tuck in your leg that is pointing upwards as if there is an attacker trying to have a rebound he might run into your leg which will most likely overstretch your groin muscles, causing an injury
The soul purpose is to protect the latex on the gloves which can be torn by being rubbed on surfaces like grass so he demonstrates how we should not let our gqloqves touch thr groud
First you dont know how to be a goalkeeper 2 he is diving differently because in the first one he lands on the latex which can damage it but in the second one he is diving without using the latex for support
As a goalkeeper if I ever got a shot like that I would catch it because catching is better that diving the whole point of a dive is to clear or catch something that would be physically impossible otherwise in a real match a goalkeeper would be lucky to get a shot like that actually come his way the only way any goalkeeper is diving for that is if the shot has to much power and is to close in
That’s the correct technique. Slide your arm. Don’t fall on your elbow because you’ll mess up your shoulders and you’ll feel it when you’re 30. Trust me. Lol .
Bruh i am u12 but i play in mixed batch of u16 and i am the only keeper and some big fourteen yr old did a top bins powershot and then this one kid said "jUsT jUmP AnD cAtCh It"
@@syazwanhumaidi5081 nope it’s not to prevent injury, say the shot was too powerful to catch and an opponent is in on a rebound, you would have to get up quickly to get into a set position to react to the shot. By having the leg up and simultaneously slamming it down when you’re getting up, adds extra momentum to the movement resulting in a quicker and more efficient standing up giving you more time to set for the shot. Try it yourself, lying down on your side both legs on the floor, try getting into your set position. Then try again with one leg in the air (slamming it down when your getting up). You should see that 1 leg in the air is much quicker.
Or you can catch it and not concede a rebound
i think he was simulating if it were a hard shot
Like me
😂

Thank you for this trick 😊
In goal keeper brave diving are important

Seconded
Lovelllly
If you have your gk gloves open with grip side on the ground its going to slowly get less grip and deteriorate so just a tip
Bro dived after he saved the ball LOL😂😂😂

What about high dives?
The 1st one is what I did today this morning and the ball went to the other compound 😂😂😂
The main point of not letting the ball cross the goal line, why do you need to worry about diving until and unless you are saving the ball
*catch the ball*
Nobody dives like that…
he means don’t make the grip touch the floor or it will damage it
i do
@@josesantiagotolentinoaquin2479lol
no wonder my gloves gets torn easily

Bro posed last second 💀💀
for some reason i’m better on my weak side with these types of dives but not my strong side. could be why i keep getti injured on my right
Same
But he pushes it away that could be a corner so ur good
Watched many times to understand the difference 👽☠️

You really don't see it?
The second one is better because he doesn’t injure his arms
What is the difference
U can also go wide with ur lags and push it away and u wil stay up cuz the shot was far from u
Okay thats great but first of all you dont save to make a dive you dive to make a save ☠️☠️

Not to mention dirt on your gloves.
One time I fell on my arm straight out, OUCH that felt like I dislocated it or something.
@@zaddockkyou good now?
No, you don't slide on the ground if you want to have your gloves for longer than 1 match
Dont do this you can concede a rebound so catch it
Both are same ☠️
Bro save it and after this dive
Or you can catch it
He does this beacause if the gloves come in contact whith the grass it possibly can ruin the gloves

You don’t need to dive for that 😂
If you don’t want to concede a rebound that is
Hi...can i know why we have to keep our legs up during the dive?
so you dont get hurt or something

That's like the exact same
For you.
No in the first one he slid after the catch but in the second one he did a dive during the ball
Catch it at that point lol, annoying ass rebound

goalkeepers know to catch it everyone would but he’s just not catching it to show if it was a powerful shot how u should dive
Why
Wtf is that, you must to jump highter, or i think you have lag

No, it is not. Whenever you slide your elbow on the ground, your elbow gets injured.
They are both wrong. Maybe try catch it?

Here u don't even need to dive u can just catch it its not even that far

ball is going 70km/h plus
Still wanna 'catch' it?

Yes the difference is one he slid after the ball.
Tuck your elbow in
