Of course it is BUT no matter what, she was a willing participant. And that’s what these scammers manipulate people to do. The victim is so convinced that this is real, they can’t see it. It’s so widespread now, especially in the States and Australia and one woman sent over a million dollars and lost her home, pensions she’d cashed in etc.
The son was so caring and loving to his mum stayed by her side until the end. He was very wise to get the authorities involved. Professionals involved. I would say a lot of moral support from loving family and friends. I hope his wife and loving fella has wonderful future. 😢❤❤😊😊
Tragic story and no doubt many more out there. People fail to understand that the scammer has mastered the art of manipulation, so much so that the victim actually comes to believe what they are being told, and whilst in this honeymoon phase they can't discern the lies from the truth. Scammers can vary from super uber smart to not so, so that in itself will dictate the level and length of engagement, that and the vulnerability of the victim.
I don’t know what they hand in other countries but in the US there is adult protective services. It was a different situation when my mom was being taken advantage of. I got really scary with them to get them to back off and reported them every way I could. But it made me sad because my mom missed their small child and she really thought they were her friends.
The problem is that a woman was happily married for 20+ years and mistakenly thinks a lot of men are like their dearly beloved late husband. That's why I wouldn't criticise these women.
I mean it sad she died of delusion amd fetishism....there's even one guy I know who chooses to send stupid mounts to scammers. Can't tell him nothing he even admits indirectly he knows they aren't real and he's got no chance with them I'm there like don't be a idiot I'm a real person send it me. No seriously. Some ppl are weird love delusion remember ignorance is bliss and it's not always by choice
is he in care or have carers , can you alert the care managers if so? can he have a guardianship order allocated to him so someone else can take care of his money as set by a judge and then have to account for it. because it sounds like exploitation.
An accent doesnt dictate a nationality. There are US citizens who dont even speak english at all! I understand rhat this man os a fraudster, bit just wanted to highlight that
Why isn't this classed as financial abuse?!? because she gave it willingly??? But she was conned out of it !!!! STILL financial abuse!!!!!!! 😡

Because she gave it willingly
This is absolutely tragic. What a horrendous way for your mother's life to end. No justice. 💔🥺 I'm so sorry.
It was her fault.
The justice comes in the afterlife. Allah will exact the justice

What a wonderful son.
It seems like he tried what he could. At one point you can't fight their delusion.

My condolences to the son

I'm afraid they won't, they need the be found and prosecuted.

Princess diana was right , loneliness is the biggest disease in the world. Heartbreaking ;(((((((((((((((((
Very sad
Rochelle is a very curious interviewer
He should have went online and became her boyfriend and once she send all the money...he would just ghost her and take care of her.
The web allows the world into your house. Remember that.😃

Oh come on. They are almost always Nigerian. So it's not a reach to hear an accent and make an educated guess.
