In the late 80’s K2 put titanium in their Xtreme ski.. ya drop a big drop, ya bent your ski. This will be interesting to see the warranty returns. Love everything else about the board.

I hear you! However, the sidewall technology in the deepfake is only marginally different from traditional steel edges. If we take a moment to acknowledge that this is not pure titanium, but rather an alloy, we can infer that the tensile strength is only marginally different from steel. Being an alloy of titanium, it is more corrosion-resistant & will traditionally be lighter than steel edges. Also, let's note the amount of carbon laced within this board. This ensures that the reflex remains strong, allowing it to rebound better after force is applied, such as from a big drop. Snowboard edges are often the most tortured part of the board; at the end of the day, hitting rocks or landing tail or nose heavy in any situation can cause damage to them
