Our reading tastes are polar opposite (I love horror and non fiction and never read romance or historical fiction) but I just adore your channel so much. I love your energy and your vlogs especially are so cozy to put on while I’m puttering about or making coffee. So thank you and best wishes for 2025! 📖🎄
Water Moon is on my list too, it sounds incredible! I have noticed that there seems to be a lot of time travel books releasing in winter. I am not mad about it.😊
We have so much overlap in our anticipated releases! Patti Callahan Henry, Susanna Kearsley, All the Water in the World! I’m also looking forward to the new books by Adrienne Young, Eowyn Ivey, Margarita Montimore, and Colleen Oakley! Happy reading Krista. I love your videos!
I have both the Fiona Davis and the Susanna Kearsley on my TBR! The Queens of Crime also sounds intriguing…I’m going to have to check that one out when it comes out. Great video as always. Have a very Merry Christmas, Krista! 🎄😊
Lots of great books. Krista, you keep helping me with the reading challenge I'm doing! I've been looking for a novel in verse and Where the Heart Should Be sounds perfect!! Happy Holidays ❤
I added The Crime Brulee Bake Off and the Book Boyfriend to my pre-orders. I love both bake off books, and bookish romances, so these sound perfect for me. Thanks for the alert! I also added Queens of Crime - I am a big fan of all of those authors.
As someone diagnosed with bipolar disorder almost 10 years ago, I am excited to see the representation in Lisa Genova's new release and I can't wait to pick it up. Great list!! :) Merry Christmas Krista 🎄
🏡 I’m so glad to hear you are going to read The Queens of Crime. This one just sounds too good to miss. Thank you for reminding me of Linda Holmes’ Back After This. I loved Evvie Drake so very much last year. The other book was good as well. I have pre-ordered Beg, Borrow or Steal, and Finley Donovan Digs Her Own Grave (3/4/25). I haven’t read anything by Fiona Davis…her book sounds so good. The Water Moon is intriguing, and on my TBR. A few years ago an acquaintance and I were discussing her trip to Venice, Italy. When I mentioned I would love to visit there, she told me to go go soon before it is swallowed by the sea. I have been reading everything I can find on this phenomenon. Have you read The Light Pirate by Lily Brooks-Dalton? Fascinating stuff. I have even looked to see if southwest Ohio could possibly be swallowed by the sea. The prediction maps for this eventuality were interesting…and a bit terrifying. On 2/25 A Cold Case of Murder is scheduled for release. It is about a cannabis cafe. Not my usual fare. I will keep my ears open to see how it is received. Oh, and Once for Yes sounds wonderful. I hadn’t heard anything about this one. I need to add Kleenex to my grocery order. Have a wonderful weekend!
I am eager for the next Sarah Adams too, but I still have Rule Book to read. I know it isn't in that series, but it did come out this year. I will get to it. Haha love that you need to add Kleenex to your grocery order. I do too! lol
My favorite genre has always been mysteries, especially psychological thrillers. Watching your videos, you've inspired me to read historical fiction, so thank you for broadening my reading experience. I have read about three of Susan Meissner books and loved all of them. And I just picked up The Lost Ticket from the library, a book you mentioned recently.
I love Susanna Kearsley. She’s the only author I’ve read to zero (until the new book comes out). My favorites are The Winter Sea and The Rose Garden. 🏡🌹
I'm here for The Stolen Queen by Fiona Davis and for The Queens of Crime by Marie Benedict who I like a lot. I think you'd said you were disappointed with The Mystery of Mrs. Christie by Benedict. I agree that it was so-so, but I've loved her others I've read. Really interested in The Map to Paradise by Susan Meissner. I couldn't get into Fall of Marigolds by the same author, but people rave about her stuff so much that I'm going to try her again.
Both would help me get a Q for an alphabet challenge if I do that again next year. haha. I love Susan Meissner. Try As Bright as Heaven. That's one of my faves by her.
I really enjoy Fiona Davis too, so I’m glad to learn of her newest. Sounds very good! A book with Agatha Christie and Dorothy L. Sayers as characters, count me in!! And the cover of The King’s Messenger is beautiful. I don’t always cover buy, but this could be one I do. Thank you, Krista ❤️🎄💚
You didn’t mention Onyx Storm - I’m shocked! 🤪 I’m very excited about the new Lisa Genova - it’s been ages since there’s been a new book. I have read a couple of Sarah Crossan’s books and really enjoyed them - I think you would like Moonrise.
I went to Goodreads to add some of the books you talked about and some were already marked as “want to read”. lol. I don’t remember doing that! Anyway, sounds like a lot of great ones. I hope Book Boyfriend is a sweet romance.
🏘 I have enjoyed everything that I have read by Lisa Genova so I will probably add that one to my list. I am looking forward to a new on by Abby Jimenez in the spring.
So excited to be going to a Fiona Davis evening at our local bookstore and she’s going to be in conversation with Kate Quinn. Our tickets include a signed copy of the Stolen Queen. 💕📚
I really need to catch up on Susan Meissner. She's hit or miss for me, but her writing is superb whether or not I like the story. And I need to read me some Patti Callahan Henry.
@BooksAndJams the one -Bright as Heaven I think?- about the 1918 flu epidemic had an adulterous relationship, and then there was one that featured a ghost prominently. That one I DNF'd because it was just so weird. I guess if I look at it as magical realism of sorts it might be readable but honestly it was just creepy to my mind. The first one, I was really taken aback at how matter of factly the adulterous relationship was presented. If I remember correctly, the man divorced his wife to be with the girl and that didn't set well with me at all.
Happy holidays Krista where R U based I love listening to Dilly Court Lindsay Hutchinson Emma Hornby Cathy Sharp Daisy Styles Johanna Bell Patricia McBride Elaine Everest Rosie Goodwin Michael Stagg can't recommend them enough
I'm looking forward to The Story She Left Behind, The Queens of Crime, picked that up from Netgalley, A Map To Paradise, Kills Wells With Others, The Stolen Queen, and More or Less Maddy. 🏚
Our reading tastes are polar opposite (I love horror and non fiction and never read romance or historical fiction) but I just adore your channel so much. Aww thanks so much for sticking around! I also follow quite a few people who read very differently from me.
So happy to see that Lisa Genova is coming out with a mew book. She is such a fabulous writer!!!!
I was excited to see that one too.
I agree!
Water Moon is on my list too, it sounds incredible! I have noticed that there seems to be a lot of time travel books releasing in winter. I am not mad about it.😊
I'm so curious about Water Moon. It sounds quite intriguing.
I love that. I need to try another Eowyn Ivey book. I loved The Snow Child.
Thanks Krista! I hope to read more historical fiction in 2025 so this was very helpful. Yay for a new Susan Meissner book!
I'm so excited for a new Susan Meissner.
Thanks for telling all the books that are to come in New Year. Merry Christmas! 🎄
You're very welcome! This is certainly not all of them, just ones that stand out to me.
There cover for The Story She Left Behind is so beautiful! 😍
I agree! SO pretty.
I have both the Fiona Davis and the Susanna Kearsley on my TBR! The Queens of Crime also sounds intriguing…I’m going to have to check that one out when it comes out. Great video as always. Have a very Merry Christmas, Krista! 🎄😊
Glad a few of these sound good to you. Merry Christmas!
I love Lisa Genova’s books! I still have two I haven’t read but I immediately added this to my wishlist.
I love her books too. I added her to my read to zero list today.
Horses I loved. Loved frozen river and reading all the data about the actual midwife.
Yes! I love when a historical fiction makes us want to look up the actual history and people we've read about. That's the best.
Lisa Genova oh goody! I may pre-order that one. Water Moon sounds intriguing. Another one by the author of Olivetti, I’m excited!
Glad a few of these sound good to you!
Lots of great books. Krista, you keep helping me with the reading challenge I'm doing! I've been looking for a novel in verse and Where the Heart Should Be sounds perfect!! Happy Holidays ❤
Nice! I love reading a novel in verse, but usually it's middle grade. I'm looking forward to this one that's YA.
Ooohh some I hadn’t heard of and I added a few too! That titanic one sounds good!
Yay. I'm glad a couple stand out to you.
Hi Krista Happy Holiday. So many good choices..Loiuse Penny has a new book too. Take care .
I am so far from being caught up with Louse Penny's series. Hopefully will read a couple more in 2025.
Thanks for this!! I just put the Lisa Genova and Susan Meissner books on reserve at my library!! YAY!
Love that a couple sound so good to you.
I love L. Genova’s books 🏠📚
Merry Christmas Krista! 🎄
Merry Christmas! Hope you have a wonderful holiday!
Such a great list! I added so many books to my already overflowing tbr!❤
Sweet! Glad a few sound good to you.
I added The Crime Brulee Bake Off and the Book Boyfriend to my pre-orders. I love both bake off books, and bookish romances, so these sound perfect for me. Thanks for the alert! I also added Queens of Crime - I am a big fan of all of those authors.
Glad you found a few that sound good!
I put most on my list. Some I hadn’t heard of yet. Thank you.
Glad to introduce you to a few new ones.
Merry Christmas Krista! 🧑🎄🎄
Thanks, Linda. You too!
I really enjoy your upbeat videos! 🏠 Historical fiction is also my favorite genre.
Thanks so much!
The Susan meissner book sounds so good!
🏠 Added Water Moon to my TBR. Love the idea of a pawn shop of regrets, too!
I am so curious about that one. Hope we both like it!
Lots of good books shared! Thanks Krista!
It's fun to see what's coming out!
Historical Fiction is definitely my favorite ❤
Mine too. 💜
🏡 adding a few of these books to my want to read list. Thanks for sharing
Love it! Glad a few stand out to you.
I am also really excited for water moon!
It sounds so different. I have high hopes for it.
As someone diagnosed with bipolar disorder almost 10 years ago, I am excited to see the representation in Lisa Genova's new release and I can't wait to pick it up. Great list!! :) Merry Christmas Krista 🎄
I would be curious to hear your thoughts when you read it. I feel like she can be trusted to do it well. I guess we'll see.
🏡 I’m so glad to hear you are going to read The Queens of Crime. This one just sounds too good to miss. Thank you for reminding me of Linda Holmes’ Back After This. I loved Evvie Drake so very much last year. The other book was good as well.

It's good to branch out from our normal reads now and then. I hope you enjoy The Lost Ticket.
So many of my favorite authors are releasing books in 2025!❤
Right!? Very exciting.
I love Susanna Kearsley. She’s the only author I’ve read to zero (until the new book comes out). My favorites are The Winter Sea and The Rose Garden. 🏡🌹
The Rose Garden was my first Kearsley and I was hooked!
Waltraud. Excellent historical nonfiction. Her mother’s story of living in Germany under Hitler. Her first book. Amazing writer. Loved 5 stars
Sounds good. I haven't heard of that one.
Once for yes sounds good!!
I agree!
I'm here for The Stolen Queen by Fiona Davis and for The Queens of Crime by Marie Benedict who I like a lot. I think you'd said you were disappointed with The Mystery of Mrs. Christie by Benedict. Ooh!! The lost passenger sounds great!!!
Glad a bunch of these sound good to you.
So many good ones, right? Hope we both love the ones we read.
Love Fiona Davis. Can't wait for that one!
Same. I would love to read all of her books.

Haha. No Yarros for me thanks. haha. I am excited to try a Sarah Crossan. Will look into Moonrise.
I have Still Alice, but I'd love to get more or less Maddy as well.
I would love to read all her books. I have a couple more to go.
A Sea of Unspoken Things by Adrienne Young comes out Jan 7th. I'm also excited for Water Moon.
I have only read one from her. I'd be willing to try more though.
I added the queens of crime, water moon, and back after this to my library requests.
Yay! I am glad a few of these sound good to you.
I went to Goodreads to add some of the books you talked about and some were already marked as “want to read”. lol. I don’t remember doing that! Anyway, sounds like a lot of great ones. I hope Book Boyfriend is a sweet romance.
Haha. I do that sometimes too. I also hope Book Boyfriend is a sweet one.
🏠Added a few of these to my TBR!
Sweet!
The books sound interesting anticipating your reviews
I'm glad. Thanks for watching.
So fun! 🛳️
🏘 I have enjoyed everything that I have read by Lisa Genova so I will probably add that one to my list. I am looking forward to a new on by Abby Jimenez in the spring.
Yes, I am pretty sure I have the Abby book on my Spring list too.
Not sure if you already mentioned this but Pam Jenoff has a new book coming out in Feb 2025 called Last twilight in Paris.
I didn't see that one. I have not always loved Pam Jenoff so I didn't take note of it. Hope it's a good one though!
Love your glasses 🏘🏠🏡
They're my new ones from Pair Eyewear. I love them.
Thanks so much, Krista, and thanks for keeping me company while I’m wrapping Christmas gifts. 🥰 🏡 📚 🤶🏻
Yay! Happy to keep you company.
The Fiona Davis book sounds like a winner! 🏠
I agree!
Too many stand out!! I am a new fan of Susan Meissner so definitely looking forward to hers!
Love it! Me too.
The Patti callihan book sounds similar to her last book!! But I’m in!!
I thought it sounded similar too. I couldn't tell if it was connected somehow.
A lot sound good! I know you have said this before but please tell me where you got your glasses, they are so cute!!
I got these glasses from Pair Eyewear. I have a link and a code in my description! They're the best.
@ thank you
Oh my I just added a bunch to my list❤😊
Sweet! mission accomplished.
So excited to be going to a Fiona Davis evening at our local bookstore and she’s going to be in conversation with Kate Quinn. Our tickets include a signed copy of the Stolen Queen. 💕📚
Lucky you!!
Where will Davis and Quinn be?
@ It’s a ticketed event near Annapolis MD
That sounds so cool! What a great event. I love getting to hear author's talk. Enjoy!
what's the name of your Pango bookstore? I'd love to look at what you have on there. Thanks!
Here's my link. I have it paused currently while I'm out of town. pangobooks.com/bookstore/krista_booksandjams
🏡I added The Map to Paradise on my list! 😊
It sounds so good! I will read anything Meissner writes.
Adding Queens of Crime to my list! 🏡
It sounds like a fun one. Hope we both like it!
