HP PROBOOK 4530S take apart video, disassemble, how to open disassembly

  • Hi!
    No music. No talking. Just work.
    If you are taking your HP PROBOOK 4530S laptop apart be careful and wear an anti-static wrist band or use other anti-static device. If you need to change a LCD usually you don't have to take screen out of a laptop. You can leave it on a laptop and watch the last part of the video where I am taking LCD apart. If you need to change a keyboard, you don't have to take all bottom screws out. There are usually some marks, like a keyboard picture, on a case bottom. If you need to put a laptop back to work be aware of screws. They are different and you better remember or mark them somehow to insure that you will put them back in to a right place.
    Some laptops I take apart first time, so don't be serious on my time and performance.
    If something got broken - ooops, it's your fault.
    Believe me, some parts in your laptop are already broken, you just don't see that.
    This video is like insurance for your laptop. With this video and some skills you will be always sure that at least you can try to repair your laptop. If it's broken you don't have to sell it or throw it away. You can find some new or used parts somewhere and change it. It maybe will be your new job or hobby. And if it didn't worked out you still will be able to ask somebody else to fix it.
    So, just watch this video and fix your laptop.
    Have fun and good luck!!

    Some dogs can never be trained. My skill of disassembling things is so good, by the time I put it back together, I always ended up with extra screws sitting on the table. :D.

      I find extra screws with every disassemble of the same notebook. And i never find that holes to place them back on next disassembles.

      I swear to God, I haven't cleaned my fan for 2 years just because I was so annoyed by opening it up the last time. And thanks to that, when I traveled to a really hot and humid place, the stuffed fan caused overheating and power shortages and my keyboard died. Now I have to buy a new keyboard AND still clean the bastard. Fucking HP...

    Thanks for sharing this. I found this particular laptop unusually difficult to work on. It uses Torx screws (#10), and the problem you had getting the case open was the same for me. I would suggest that instead of using that sharp knife (if that's a Swiss Army, it's very sharp) you use a iSesame opener or something like it. I thought there was going to be blood before the video was over. :)

    Excellent. I had given up on my fan/computer, and figured either the heatsink must need new paste, or the motherboard was shot. But following this video, I was able to get to dirt inside the heat pipe radiator, just after the fan in the airflow (or lack of airflow). I'm sure this is my "run away fan" problem.
    Thanks. Much cheaper than a new computer.

    It will be hard to remove... it is all about your creativity. if it is sticking out, you may grab it with pliers :) (but in this situation you will not ask me here) maybe you can glue it and remove it when it will get fastened, but it is dangerous, because you may glue something else too ...
    In the worst case you will need to change audio jack (good news it is not on motherboard and replaceable).

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, fan stop working because either it is very dirty or it is broken.
    It is your laptop and if you are confident in what you need to do in order to change a fan - do it your self.
    If not and this is a last laptop you have - ask professional but trusted technician.

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, if fan isn't very dirty, you may need just to open this cover and try to clean it with airblower and if it will not help, you may need to take it all the way apart to remove fan and heatsink. It is basically depend on how dirty is your fan/heatsink.

    Hi,
    thank you for asking, but unfortunately I don't have such a newer model of laptop for right now.

    Hi, yeah, this is very sad news, if my hard drive will fail it will be a disaster. Although I have a backup, bud always something new and some thing didn't backup yet.
    Why do you think it is completely broken, hard drive?

  • @regazzz
    @regazzz  11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Maybe also CPU, but you need to dig in to specs of motherboard and CPU you want to use... determine what chipset it is and what CPU can be used ... also look for what TBU is ok for this laptop.

    Two questions : I read your description about keeping track of the types of screws... Im wondering if you put this machine back together after you disassembled it? Also, how much would you charge to replace the DC charging port? Just trying to get an idea. My laptop is like 5 yrs. old now, but the only thing wrong is that the charging port has worn out. Im considering trying to replace it myself... But ive never worked on a computer and am a total novice. I am very detailed though. Should i attempt? Thanks.

    I think this laptop is amazing, I've just bought one. It's on the older side of the brands since this is a 2009 model, but with Windows 8 installed on the system, it really contents and beats some of the 2015 laptops, that being said the AMD dual core processor does tax it's self quite a lot to do the most minimum of tasks, but it is a cool running and brilliant designed laptop, sadly HP loose some points as they made the laptop with the slide off inspection panel on the bottom, and then fucked it up by then having to take the top part of the chassis off when they could have implemented an access point from inside that nice slide panel.

    Hello,
    if you are talking about 2nd gen and 3rd gen processors, it is usually not possible to change 2nd to 3rd or 3rd to 2nd, because of the motherboard.

    Sorry man, I wish I could upload it earlier.
    As always don't hesitate to ask for some particular model if you need that but can't find it on my channel.

    I have a question, I have the same hp laptop and my hard drive failed. I did not make any back ups and my laptop still works. How do I go about this predicament?

    LOl, disassemble your laptop for 15 minutes, during which time you can make out at least 3 laptops. It can be said - which makes it the first time in his life

    If like that, I would probably take it, since your HP is a half way dead with bad keys, dead pixels etc :)))
    So, have a good luck! :)

    Hi man! You've got very useful video! If you know, answer, please. Can I change Radeon HD 6490m GPU on HP Probook 4730s to nVidia Geforce GT 650m?

    To clean a cooler you will need to get to a fan. If you have a dust blower, you may need not to open a laptop all the way.

    You know, it is all up to you. Sony still have a good quality, especially comparable to HP. If you think it is a time to for a change, since dvd, keyboard, bluetooth not working :) If also he is giving you good discount, why not? :)

    Hello, thank you for commenting.
    Some laptops being reassemble and some not, some being part of other laptops. Re assemble is not hard if you remember where screws go and wires. Some laptops have complicated amount and types of screws. So you better remember where this screws go exactly.
