We were wondering what advice you could give to a new gardening channel just starting out and trying to grow our subscribers so we can share what we're doing more broadly?
Checked in on you two. Whew, was hoping you had a date by now. We moved from state to state and ended up having to rent for 2 months waiting on closing. It was a mess. That was 30 years ago. I would have thought it would be better by now. Still in my prayers.
I totally agree with the added distance between you and your fam being more like a getaway. I grew up across the pasture from Moms parents and 2 hrs away from Dads parents. We were at Dads parents about 2 weekends per month and it felt like little weekend vacay all the time. We made friends in their neighborhood. Since we lived in the country and they lived in town it was so cool to be able to have “town experiences” while living in the country. Loved it and can’t imagine any other way. I truly believe y’all will enjoy being able to get away without added cost and having the huge worry of leaving ur homestead for a huge amount of time. I can’t tell y’all how much ur sweet fam means to me! You both have such a positive outlook and it’s so refreshing. On a daily basis my family comes in and one of the first things they ask is How are the Stivers today?? I hope this move goes as smoothly as possible and y’all are in my daily prayers!! Love from Texas, Lee
This is going to be a great opportunity for your channel to share with all of us, you building your Homestead from scratch. Sharing some of the stuff you learned over the years as you go! Can't wait to see your dreams come true in future videos, God Bless.
That meal looks amazing! Those throw together meals are my favorite for sure 💜 Im very curious how much time you invest doing TH-cam in an average week?
I know all of you are excited about the move, but I'm a little sad that you won't all be together on the compound any more. I live on a "compound" and we all love it. As my siblings and I grew up, we just all settled on the property with spouses and family and built our homes. I have an extended family member that's going to build and move their family here soon. We're all excited about it. I can't imagine all of us spreading out. We're in the boondocks and got 911 addressing about 20-ish years ago (was a rural route before). Since we are all family, they named the road with our family's last name. That usually gets some questions when giving your address for business transactions. Anyway, God bless your packing, your business dealings with the move and may He bless the new homes you're all moving into with your families. May your new places be blessed and prosperous beyond your greatest imaginations (Eph 3:20 "...able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us....)

One of our favorite dinners is browned ground beef combined with skillet sauteed green beans and potatoes, salt, pepper and garlic to taste. Finish with parmesan cheese and sprinkle with sliced almonds.
I have found that Ramen noodles are stirred into other foods if you smash the Ramen "brick" into smaller pieces before you cook them. I just use my fist on them while still in the package. Just be careful that the plastic package doesn't split at the seams causing your next fist smash to send dry noodle bits across the floor (don't ask me how I know that). Your food looks delicious. I love the combo of veggies you selected. I'm wanting Chinese food now....
How are you cleaning up the garden before moving? You said you were taking the cattle panels, but what about raised beds and weed tarps? How about the pool and hot tub. More details on the move

I am so darn happy for Y'all. Moving and getting set up will be a chore, I am sure. But, when it is all done, it will be so worth it. There was a time when my Momma, Step Dad and I had very little money for food, and my Momma could do so much with Vegetables and Ramen Noodles. I want to make the dish Jen made today. Is Jed going to move with you all? God Bless Y'all. Hugggggs.
ya'll will have to try smashed cucumber salad . its a traditional Asian salad that's amazing especially in peak cucumber time when your trying to find new ways to eat them up
A lot of Asian dishes use cornstarch for breading. That really looks good. You reminded me that I don't have Ramen in my pantry, so I actually paused the video and put Ramen in my Amazon cart.
LOL As I am sitting here, taking a break from packing myself, eating leftover Panda Express and you are talking about left over asian food. Heading to Kentucky on monday. Should be in Elk Horn no later than wednesday. Hugs and Prayers for you guys. Packing SUCKS!!!!!
Just a suggestion, meal plan every day until closing, leave that stuff out, and start packing all those canned goods now. It will take a lot of time if you are hurrying at the end. Newspaper between jars in boxes, so there is no chance for breakage.
Are yous planning on doing TH-cam full time at your new property? As in a vlog everyday? I'm sure most of us would love that and it would be an extra bit of income too for the larger property.
i use the chicken spice pack from roman noodles as part of my seasoning in my home made chicken in noodle soup. so the left over noodles i use for making asian stir fry noodles. i use steak ,chicken or pork, onions, black pepper, soy sauce, celery leaves, green onions, and some times broccoli and carrots . it is a fast way to make a dinner

Your videos just make my day, love watching you two. Any advice for dreamers who are wanting to bite the bullet on a piece of land, but are surrounded by uncertainty. Seems nothing is certain these days. You two always seem to manage the stress well, what’s the secret?
I actually make the raman noodle and meat stir fry a lot... the difference is I add brown sugar and soy sauce to make teriyaki sauce, that is really good also! We are closing on our house Oct. 16, so I feel you right now LOL good luck:)
Hi, In my town they make the ramen noodle sauce in those little packets. You can smell them 24/7. Wishing you a wonderful day and God’s blessings ❤️🙏❤️🙏

Meat grinder. It was like $60. It grinds it perfectly. Then I slightly browned it all for a few minutes, drained, packed jars with turkey, fresh boiling water, canning salt and pressure canned for 75 minutes for pints and 90 minutes for quarts. We did a video on it if you can find it.
I love to watch you guys, so please don't take this wrong but. I don't know how you all can cook with all the flies on your walls, fridge, stove and sink. There is just no way I could cook and eat anything with all the flies everywhere. I sometimes have the occasional flies but not as many as you do. Please don't take this wrong it's just there are so many landing on your food and stove. It won't with what is already planted, but if you save the seeds from this years harvest they very well could be cross pollinated to make them hot.
