I have alot of minimalist tendencies but my hubby is more of a hoader as well as 2 of my 3 children. Aarrgg! They hate to throw things out!! My hubby worries I will one day declutter our couch. Lol☺

We have closet doors like yours and we are going to try painting them white and adding a simple frame with trim. We are starting to convert all our oak to white. We started in the bathroom and it looked great so on to the rest of the house! I like how your kitchen turned out, BTW!
I've seen lots of DIY's with the oak doors, but we are not handy at all! My hubby has no interest in doing it either. Keep me posted how the process goes!!

About the closet doors: would it be possible to chalk paint them? It might look really good and could save some Money 😃
I may try in one of their rooms!! It would definitely save money.
Crystal Tara they look like real wood doors so a coat of quality primer and then white paint would work nicely on the trim and doors. I would probably do semi-gloss so you can wipe down when needed.

Poor Madden!! It’s terrible not feeling well!!! Good for Macie for the stuffed animal idea! I loved Macie’s Christmas tour! I’ve seen those Target pajamas before on another vlogger and I may have to buy some!!! 😊

declutter with youre child, she must learning. Do it together and listen to her what she want to keep. Make it very fun to do.

I have been waiting for these before the holidays declutter videos! Gets me motivated. How do you store the boys trucks. We have so many and my son has them lined up against his bedroom walls no room for walking!
Yay!! I've just been putting all the trucks in a huge basket in our playroom. Some of the larger ones are parked under our book case too. I'm not sure there's a perfect solution.
I also decluttered my daughters toys a few weeks ago. I know when Christmas comes so will more stuff!

Promise me you will stop re-organising her bedroom in a few years - I can remember my mother doing it and IT DROVE ME MAD!! I could feel myself getting wound up just watching that bit .. sorry love everything else xxx

I noticed that the kids have ornaments on their fiberoptic trees. Thought I would let you know you aren't supposed to put anything on them because it's a fire hazard. I had the same tree in my boys room with ornaments on it and my mom said something to me about it. I checked the directions that came in the box and sure enough, it says not to put anything on them. Kind of a bummer, but it's still pretty without anything else on it. Just wanted to make you aware since I had no idea and it's scary to think about something happening, especially in the kids rooms. Love that you are doing vlogmas again this year! Been watching you for quite a few years!
I was just curious! Do you guys not have the kids believe in Santa? Or are the presents already under the tree from other people?
Santa brings presents that aren't under the tree - we definitely believe in Santa. The gifts under the tree are from Mom & Dad.
Great declutter video....I would just paint the closet doors instead of replacing...a lot more budget friendly 😊

Same! I have one daughter and get exhausted so quickly. I guess her kids play together and stay occupied. She must have it very well childproofed because she can just let them play while working

I have raised 3 boys and their rooms were much worse but worse yet is my granddaughter's room!(we are raising her), There have been times when I literally could not walk around in her room because of all the clutter!!
I'm expecting the same with the twins - they are so destructive!!

Lot of us are wondering why you put the gifts that are for your kids under the tree after you wrap them??
Jan Smith We do the same with all wrapped gifts, they are from us. Then on Christmas Eve we put the big gifts for her to wake up to from ‘Santa’. :)
Same for us, Violet!!
I always grew up with having all our presents under the tree, just continuing the tradition. Santa brings gifts that aren't under the tree.
