    Well, that's new ;). I had no idea such a device even existed ;). And it seems only Makita has something like this. But I would say it works more than fine. I mean, boiling water requires a lot of power. It's kinda quite impressive for a cordless device to be able to do that at all. A hot beverage or meal can really make one's day before or after a hard working day. And it is rather inexpensive too. Cool thing.

      Makita's product range is really huge... I'm amazed every time too!
      You are right. Bringing water to the boil takes a lot of energy...two full containers of water could be a bit tight

    Did you compare boiling test with and without having the lid close? Seems with the lid open you're losing heat.
