    I use a heat gun to flash between coats and then cure the shirt using my heat press. Never had speedball paint crack doing it that way. Great information in this tutorial!!! 💪

    Hi Jennifer, Could you tell me where you got the font that you used for doing the white paint on dark color shirt. Also that green thing you pulled over your t-shit. I know it is some type of heater that help you to drive the t-shirt you just made. I am getting rid of all my embroidery stuff and I want to get rid of Sublimation and just do the screen printing. I need one of dryers that you showed when drying your t-shirt
    I sure hope you get this it is 5/29/2023 Thank you

      Hi Kathleen, That’s a flash drier. It does exactly that- after printing I swing it over to quickly dry the ink to really speed up the process. Here is the one I’m using: ttps://www.pigskinsandpigtails.com/a/ryonet-flash-dryer
      And the font is Avenir Next Bold 😊

    • @pigskinsandpigtails

      Mainly just white ink...sometimes yellow - because you have to layer those on thick to cover a dark color shirt. And that thick coat of ink tends to crack! I always try to stick with the Speedball opaque inks when printing on dark shirts.

    The problem i have using speedball white ink is that it dries up really fast on my screen and by the 3rd print it’s not going thru because parts of it have become clogged, and I hear if u flood with the ink it will keep it wet but it still becomes clogged, what should I do ? Help! Lol

    • @pigskinsandpigtails
      @pigskinsandpigtails  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can try to spray a little water on the screen and squeegee over on a scrap piece of fabric when that happens. I've also mixed some of the opaque white ink with the regular to give it a smoother consistency.

    • @pigskinsandpigtails

      When I lift my screen off the shirt, I will squeegee a coat of ink over the screen (not touching the shirt). This will keep the screen wet while it's not in use.

    Disculpa mi pregunta pero estoy traduciendo.
    ¿Lo que quieres mostrar aquí es que la tinta blanca para tela “OPACA” es mejor que la otra?
    ¿Que necesitamos un bastidor “FIRME” para poder dar un retoque o una segunda pasada, ya que sin el es imposible dar un segundo retoque?
    ¿Y por último que no demos muchas pasadas porque la pintura o tinta se cuartea con las lavadas.?
    Espero haya entendido bien.
    Muchas gracias.
    Me has ayudado muchísimo.

    • @pigskinsandpigtails
      @pigskinsandpigtails  ปีที่แล้ว

      Not necessarily better, each of the Speedball white inks have different qualities. For a bright white, you will want to built up layers of ink, so a screen printing press is necessary. The opaque ink is less prone to cracking over time than the regular white ink is when you are building up layers.

  • @rubylabelco

    Now I'm confused because I just watched another video someone said water based inks seap into the fabric and you can't feel them and they don't Crack, but plastisol does. Is the regular speedball ink water based ink? That's what I just bought

    • @pigskinsandpigtails

      It can be a challenging business. I think there are 2 keys to standing out: 1 - finding your style (the designs you make, the way you style your products and how you promote your business) and 2 - finding your niche customers (people who love your design style and want to buy from you). Keeping a consistent style will help you with #2. I hope this helps motivate you to hang in there! Feel free to DM me on Instagram @pigskinsandpigtails if you want to chat more about business ideas!
