Let's look at how the fire mage operates. Together, we will grow an organic understanding of the basics and be able to incorporate those basics into most any spec variation you choose. I have been a mage for about 15 years now, favoring arcane. I also have several max level mages, most are arcane. I have two main mages that I play, both of which can easily tackle high end mythic +, so I feel as though I'm an authority on the subject of mages. Another thing to mention, which I'm surprised you missed....when you are casting a Fireball, and have one key, Fireblast is "off the global" you can actually instant cast (weave inbetween the global) Fireblast during the Fireball cast time, which activates the second key, and send a Pyroblast as soon as the Fireball travels at the exact same time...and If that Pyro crits, you have another instant cast Pyro right after.
There are several classes that have this sort of weird, "weaving stuff inbetween globals" gameplay. For example... Prot Warrior...you can weave Ignore Pain, or ShieldBlock inbetween globals.

@4:40 This means you have to go around the house and go through the unlocked back door to get to lulu. It just takes you a little while to get around back.
