I remember Mort Crim from my time as a teenager in Philadelphia in the early 70's. I thought he was the best of the Philadelphia anchors of that time and I watched him every chance I got. He also lived close to our house and I remember a story that late one night on Sugertown Road there was a terrible accident near his house. And Mort immediately left his house and helped the victims and the police until the injured were taken to the hospital and the road was cleaned up. I love the Anchorman movies. But Mort was really the opposite of that Will Ferrell's character. You can see that well enough in this interview.
