Braiding starts from 4:36. You're welcome. Video was really helpful. Thanks Mags.
Kinda funny fact: i am dutch and i have never ever done a dutch braid, only the french version and i have never ever seen someone in the netherlands with a dutch braid :P I have no idea what that's all about hihi. Great video as always!
Mags, i have some great new to tell you! Last week i had my surgery and they couldn't find anything anymore. I had an mri and the cancer is gone! It is very strange because i had it spread in 5 places and there was a new one so in the end 6 places.. my doctor told me last friday i was clean and they don't understand. I knew i had allmost no chance, but i didn't know that it was so bad that i even had no chance of surviving with the help of chemo and the hospital.. I should have died already, but i am alive and clean! The new tumors in my spine are gone too and i seem to get rid of them with positive mind power... !!! Because they don't understand how this all is posible, i need to get radiotherapy and extra chemo ( to make sure it doesn't come back). They want to check me untill i am at least 60 years old. They also don't understand how my wounds are healing so fast. They think my surviving is because of strong will and positive thinking.
Thank you so much for this detailed tutorial, especially the finger technique @6:36 which many videos "show" but this is the first I've seen break it down verbally so well! Much Gratitude 💜
Glad it was helpful❤️
I taught my self how to braid just like this and I added always the the outside strand depending on which side I was adding hair too. But people have told me that pulling pieces to middle can help get a tighter braid at the end by the neck. But I have so much layers and my hairs the same length . But this helps so much !
As someone who is currently trying to grow out a buzzcut, thank you for this! 😊
Took me about 5 tries… I’ve never done it before but it looks great. Thank you!!!
Thank you for breaking down the technique! Especially how to place the fingers, I can finally braid ❤️
Thank you so much Abby! So happy to know that it was helpful! 💕
omg ur hair is recently growing and i love it! it surely will grow more! Thankyousomuch for making this video it was really helpful for me
You make the difficult easy. Thank you for the finger technique it was a game changer!
I guess I'm so used to doing French that I just get so confused trying to go under instead of over!! I have done it on someone else but it was by accident! I've also thought it can be the way you hold your hands...like holding them palm down or palm up when doing on someone else.
Haha I was the exact same way! I used to only do French braids and when I tried Dutch braids for the first time, it was hard for my mind to rewire itself to go under rather than over 😂
You’re so beautiful. I really love this look. Subscribed!!!!! 💕 💕 💕
Currently entering month 10 of a growing out shaved head. It’s so frustrating. Short layers everywhere! All I can do is a half up ponytail. Leaving it all down looks funny because all those short layers just stick out everywhere. 6 more months and the short layers on the sides will have caught up to the bottom. (I’m keeping my hair at an ear length bob length until all the layers catch up!) also not using heat. Don’t want my stylist to trim them it’ll just take longer for those short layers to grow out. So far my hair is super healthy and I’m hoping it continues so they catch up asap!! Did you ever have your layers trimmed while your shaved head was growing out? Or did they grow out pretty healthy so they caught up to your bottom pretty fast? 💛 Aahhh sorry mags I just want one length hair again! 😩😩😩😩
Thank you so much.My sister have a shoulder length hair and beg me to braid it for her
Real braiding starts here

I used to braid my long hair but i just cut it just past my shoulders with layers and I was wondering if I'd be able to braid it. This is the shortest I've had my hair since I was a kid so it's really weird.
I stopped at 8:15
I keep trying but it just won’t come out 😭
How long did this take you to learn?
I taught myself how to braid hair when I was younger, but I had to learn again when my hair was shorter because I had a lot of short layers! It definitely took me quite a few tries before the braids came out looking good :)
I am in expert with long hair but god forbid can’t do it on my short hair🤣🤦🏻♀️
All these "tutorials" suck, even if they r for beginners
Your hair isnt short. Try again.
But it is?
Her hair is above the shoulders it's short
