I am constantly amazed at the entertainment and educational quality of the TH-cam programming that you and so many other content producers have provided. After far too many years, your videos encouraged me to restart my own outdoor adventures and rekindle my love of the out-of-doors. In fact, at this moment I'm gathering the last few items for my load-out for my first canoe camping trip of the season. Thanks.
I only discovered your channel about a month ago and I have watched so many of your videos. I have enjoyed every one I have watched, especially the ones with Maggie and Tom. Please be safe and keep up the wonderful work! Makes being stuck inside at work so much more bearable and makes me want to pitch our tent out in the pasture, if our cows would not pester us so! 🤣🤣
I'd almost forgotten how good your canoe looks under sail, and under a small fluffy Nessie for that matter. ;) Thanks for sharing, was good fun to watch. Time-lapsing a long event seems to be a good additional use, it worked very well. Be well Simon :)
A great ten to fifteen minute movie re-cap does one thing, makes you want to watch the entire feature length film. For me, a single viewing of this series was not enough.
It was cool seeing this all again, even with t "Benny Hill Chase scene" speed added. I'm still glad your canoe didn't totally bite it when you hit that rock!
Simon, thank you for your condensed version. As Sirrehpotsirhc commented, your channel inspires many of us!! My pucker string tightened again after you hit that particular rock that split your beautiful canoe. Was hoping you'd show a quick scene of you taping back together. Plus had forgotten about you being "awarded" Nessy. :) Thank you for sharing your memories with us!.
Durning the last couple of years I haven't been able to get away from London ( family thing) but watching videos likes these help keep me sort of sane.. thanks
Hullo Simon, great video. I've walked just about all the trails in Scotland since my twenties, but never done any canoe trips. Hoping to do Loch Lomond sometime in the future. I am still new to TH-cam and have started to hike previous walks and get them on camera. I'd be interested to know what camera gear you use, please. All the best, Davey.
So many memories in 5 days and this just brought them back. Its great to see the trip again when you haven't watched he'd it in a while and as you say in the description Simon, the full trip in one video, just great. Fond memories that will last me a lifetime. Thank you buddy for your company on the adventure and friendship since.
It's so nice to have a reminder of your amazing Scotland trip, it made me smile watching it. You all raised so much money for a great cause. What a fantastic bunch of blokes👍😁
Good afternoon Simon At work right now so I'm not going to be able to hear this so I will have to definitely watch this once I get home Until then I bid you a good day
An excellent thought Simon. As usual so well executed thoroughly enjoying it. I like nothing better than getting out on the water and going up the creeks or over to an island and camping up for the night. I found you such an inspiration and not only that an inspiration to do things properly. Keep up the excellent Adventures and fabulous filming of your adventures.👍
@ Andrew Frank If you're ever over in the Western Massachusetts area, you should scope out Lake Tulley in Royalton MA.. Has about 7 islands you can pull up on & explore, all of which me & a woman I once dated gave silly names to based on our experiences while kayaking there. I don't know but never saw any signage about "overnight camping" on one of the islands, so, it could be doable. I know technically there is camping, but it's for RV or pull behind camper set up more than tent or a bivvy / hammock idea. I'm pretty sure there's online photos & someone has some TH-cam's about the place if you're interested. Best time I think to go is right around early spring so you can see the water plummeting down the 7 falls there, but also in the early or maybe semi late Summer too. No motor ( unless it's electric & a "troller"motor) boats allowed out there, so, no one making any wakes or pollution in the water. Up the road from there seems to be another cool spot that offers camping & That's Lake Dennison, although a good portion looks kind of lily paddish city, so, semi swampy in parts of the lake. There's a few other cool areas nearby going semi backwards from Tulley. 1 is Lake Mattawa out in Orange MA., next would be Laurel Lake out in erving State Forest in Erving MA..
11 minutes and 44 second video, I bet the trip felt that it went by that fast too, Good times seem to go that fast but at least you have the memories of them. I certainly brought great memories back for me.
A 5 days 5 camping spot trip ... Though its a kind of tight schedule, its a very relaxing trip that can washed away all the tensions and troubles from daily living ! Hope you enjoy it .... ( I also like you beautiful Canoe ! ) 👍👍
I remember last years trip. I followed your progress via Richard's system, your videos as well as Richard's and Mike's. This is a wonderful reminder and the extra content is worth every second of watching. Happy memories for you all. Thanks Simon for sharing and I loved your follow up repair video.
Hi that was good it brought back sum fantastic memories from long ago. The funniest was passing the castle and lots of foreign tourists taking photos of us :-)
love this..doing exactly the same and going over passed adventures..nothing wrong with that and revisiting beautiful memories..keep the awesome videos up fella
I thoroughly enjoyed the recap of your trip! I've just finished watching three other TH-cam Creators take a 4 night white water canoe trip. So glad we get to go along on all these adventures!!
Hi Simon, really like your content. I’ve been watching your videos for a while now. Have you got any tips on how to get into canoeing? Like finding out waterways, knowing where to travel etc? Just mainly in the uk. I have no idea where to start! Cheers
Thank you Simon. I know how hard it is to keep producing a video each week for TH-cam, and the work that goes in to it, not to mention the filming and editing - with having a full time job. Between you and Andy, and Richard you have made me love Wednesdays here in the States: settling down with a “cuppa” and watching what’s going to happen next. I love and appreciate what you are doing. - From a Fan across the pond.
Nice recap Simon, I think your canoe trolly was a proper light bulb moment so good I keep seeing cycle trailers and wondering wether it would make a good doner vehicle.
A cracking wee video Simon thanks for sharing! I’ve just finished re-watching your video series from Sweden, that along with Paddles & Polar Bread book is making me want to book a trip myself 😂 on another note, I really like Ginge’s hat!!!
As much as i enjoy you talking, this was a great little film. If you haven't seen it, Robert Perkins "Into The Great Solitude" is a cracking canoeing film. Keep doing what you do 👍🏻
Nicely done, SABITW. I thInk you’ve achieved a nice balance there, with the passage sections ‘time-lapsed’ but with the inclusion of ‘ real time’ moments giving a nice sense of the overall experience. Good job. I bet that took quite some time n the Editing Studio!
I really enjoyed your four canoeing videos last year from Fort William to Inverness and like this version too. Hope you’re able to get out for some more canoeing this year and I thought your trip, with Andy to the Medway was excellent.
Some how I missed a year. I thought Scotland trip was coming up. I'm so excited.... I'll get to binge watch it! So inspiring and relaxing. thank you Simon!!!!
Nice reminder of such an epic trip! I followed you all on the map app thing set up by Richard. (And in doing so learned where loch Ness was, and it's not north of Edinburgh as I'd imagined) .. Hope your doing well matey! Work n life get in the way, and I appreciate your efforts with the edit. 😎
Simon - Great to relive your trip again with the other members. I have a bit of a challenge for you. Did you know that you can almost paddle the length of Ireland? Enniskillen in NI to Limerick or Dublin in the RoI. Check out Irish Canoe Classics (Eddie Palmer and Tony Monaghan - book). Technically you are crossing an international border. Failing that you should check out Strangford Lough in NI. A sea lough with lots of islands and the same book gives you an idea of what to do. I know it is a bit of trip from Norfolk, but thats all part of the adventure. Just think of the creamy pint of Guinness at the end of the journey... Love your content and please keep it coming as my family and I enjoy it very much.
I literally, physically smiled when I got notified of your latest upload. Not kidding. I am genuinely happy to see your videos. Hope you're doing well.
This is a great trip when you first showed the whole thing going and I love the camaraderie between all of you guys. The introduction to your sail at that time was pretty cool and I definitely loved watching Nessie On your boat again. I loved that whole trip but the recap was nice as well. Thank you
It looks like you had a really nice time between all the rain wind and interesting things to see You and your friends definitely made a lot of memories
Can a 'FLASHBACK' be done FAST FORWARD? I committed to watching with the first strains of 'Laugh and Cry' by the Mini Vandals. The next few selections are wonderful!
Looking at Scotland this way makes it so much easier to understand why they called my home Nova Scotia, they are almost indistinguishable in certain shots.
Absolutely loved the edit Simon. It was a great trip, one I'll never forget and revisiting it with this edit has brought the sights n smells back. As we get ready to embark on another Scottish canoe adventure, this is perfect timing 👌 Atb mate Rick, Jack and Billydog
I remember it well Simon! I do hope that your Canoe is holding up now after you did your expert repair of the slats after your trip? I sure it's in Grand shape seeing your expertise! I enjoyed watching again! Thank you for sharing this footage!
Thank you , Simon .
🐺 Loupis Canis .

wow what a cool trip!! I liked the short version to get to see all the geography in one go!
Epic Si lad love this 🏴🛶🏞

You're right. Very different from your normal but enjoyable nevertheless. Thanks. Tootles... Wade 👍😎👍
Nice warp speed footage of an epic trip! If it was me I would have slowmo'ed the crunch moment of the damage on the white water section!
Haha - that sound is permanently etched into my memory!
Well done!

After a stressful few days what better than an interlude of calm and a cuddly nessie lol
Miss Floaty Nic'Float face is a stunning piece of art.

Enjoyin watching this with great Scottish scenery thanks Simon for a great video going back for a holiday.
It's so nice to have a reminder of your amazing Scotland trip, it made me smile watching it. You all raised so much money for a great cause. What a fantastic bunch of blokes👍😁
That white water chute leading into Loch Ness was great. I had no idea such a thing existed there.
Good afternoon Simon
At work right now so I'm not going to be able to hear this so I will have to definitely watch this once I get home
Until then I bid you a good day
I like them both… i prefer the longer Version😉Greetings from Germany
I loved seeig this trip again and I really liked your music choices. I shared it on Facebook as my 93 year old aunt likes watching your trips.
Nice rewatching this adventure in a compressed version.
Strangely engaging at warp speed! Music was perfect. Thanks Simon.

I will have to watch the long version too. Your canoe is a work of art, in a nice part of the world. That canoe though, yep, awesome.
11 minutes and 44 second video, I bet the trip felt that it went by that fast too, Good times seem to go that fast but at least you have the memories of them. I certainly brought great memories back for me.
Great idea to summarise those vids. I was waiting for that *crunch* on the whitewater section. Thanks as ever.
Such a grand adventure this Simon!! Well done!! 👍 Brilliant build on the sail and great save on the white water!! 💯👏
A 5 days 5 camping spot trip ... Though its a kind of tight schedule, its a very relaxing trip that can washed away all the tensions and troubles from daily living ! Hope you enjoy it .... ( I also like you beautiful Canoe ! ) 👍👍
Happier times. 👍

I enjoyed watching the series of this trip last year. And also watching others video who participated in this fund raiser canoe trip.

Nice recap Simon, I think your canoe trolly was a proper light bulb moment so good I keep seeing cycle trailers and wondering wether it would make a good doner vehicle.
A wonderful way to revisit the trip!
A cracking wee video Simon thanks for sharing! I’ve just finished re-watching your video series from Sweden, that along with Paddles & Polar Bread book is making me want to book a trip myself 😂 on another note, I really like Ginge’s hat!!!
A great redux of a magnificent 5-days' canoe voyage. Thanks.

SO COOL! - memories - I do believe that is the fastest I have ever traveled 60 miles in a canoe. At least by proxy. Thanks again, Simon. ATB
I really enjoyed your four canoeing videos last year from Fort William to Inverness and like this version too. Hope you’re able to get out for some more canoeing this year and I thought your trip, with Andy to the Medway was excellent.

Great job Simon ! Thanks for the work you do, what an inspiring trip !
Lovely summary video. Surely at those speeds in the canoe you should have been planing ;-P
I like the video, thanks for sharing your journey.
Fabulous Simon. Thanks
You always have the best music
I remember I enjoy the video THANKS !
just watched a 'rick steves europe' episode yeaterday where he visited loch ness...and it had me thinking about this paddle trip. 😄
Enjoyed this Simon, nice idea to bring it altogether like this.

Good to see some of your trip again Simon. Thank you.

😂😂😂
Isn't that the trip that Richard got some drone footage of Nessie??? Hahaha. (Thanks for sharing such beautiful scenery.)
Oh.....and great music choice. Very relaxing/enjoyable.
enjoyed this video 👍👍👍👍👍
Hola amigo disfruto mucho tus videos gracias por compartir un fuerte abrazó desde Uruguay
I remember watching this fall trip and it was just absolutely awesomely amazing👍❤️
Great video Si ❤
As much as I enjoy your genial personality on the videos, this was actually a neat diversion. Thanks for the time capsule.
This is a great trip when you first showed the whole thing going and I love the camaraderie between all of you guys. Nicely put together, shame you can't make it this year.
I know - gutted! 😔
Great reminder of the trip accross Scotland . Loved the compilation but also liked the indivdual videos . Loving your adventures x
Great stuff Simon, an epic adventure which you've captured perfectly. Really looking forward to the next one with you and Andy.
Absolutely loved the edit Simon. It was a great trip, one I'll never forget and revisiting it with this edit has brought the sights n smells back. As we get ready to embark on another Scottish canoe adventure, this is perfect timing 👌

What an awesome experience, beautiful scenery 😊
💜💙💚hey simon🤗happy wednesday
Awesome!
Looks good, have looked at doing the Great Glen Way myself but as a walk rather than canoe trip
That walk is on my list too 😁
We hadn’t seen your canoe in a while. I hope the repairs are holding up.
Holding up well so far 😁
i liked your previous vids on this but this was very good too
Is that Nessie on the bow? Great video -- thank you!
A softer, dryer, cuddlier version 😂
I remember it well Simon! I do hope that your Canoe is holding up now after you did your expert repair of the slats after your trip? I sure it's in Grand shape seeing your expertise! I enjoyed watching again! Thank you for sharing this footage!
