Great film Simon, captured everything we went through , the adventure, the team spirit and camaraderie that comes with a joint adventure . Every time I watch one of our films I cant believe how lucky we were and how the weather gods were looking down on us. A little bit of rain and dark skies, blue skies for most of it and perfect temperatures with that glorious tail wind that pushed us along and kept the midges down for the best part of it 😃. We were lucky and we made the most of that luck 😃. Was a great trip 👍 Atb Rick n Jack and Billydog
thanks for bringing me along on your adventure, stunning! 🌅 someone has to get SImon fishing,🎣 its almost a crime he's missing out on the most relaxing part of the journey.
Simon, I gotta' tell you mate.... hatless looks good on you man. I'm a 55yr old barber/photographer who sees the world in many aspects, and you've got that perfect rugged outdoorsman look about you. I say, hats off to you sir......and, more often.
'All's Swell that ends Swell' as far as the canoe goes. You displayed the proper 'cool head' and managed the situation! I have been enjoying watching a flotilla of canoes and canoeists work together on a cruise. This sort of adventure is seldom seen on TH-cam Bushcrafting. And I always like to listen to the Mini Vandals' LAUGH AND CRY. I found the tune through your channel and have saved it to replay whenever...
When they said to immerse yourself in the Loch Ness experience, they didn't mean literally! What an experience. Glad to have been along for the ride. Also loved the Mick Dundee whirly gig at the beginning, sounding like your in the outback there, mate, lol.
The old Aussie Bull Roarer. Perfected by our Aboriginal brothers. Next stop for Simon n Co the French Olympics ... lol. Awesome spot stunning scenery and cliffs. Fantastic voyage and adventure. Bushyboy Oz.
bugger about the canoe Simon - just typical - you were having too much fun. Looking at the positive - some new video content potential "How to repair a strip wood canoe" !!! Scenery is EPIC - I adore Scotland - so that's 2 things we have in common, Norfolk AND Scotland!
Definitely! I would love to see this as well as what other repair options there would be for the other canoes used on the trip. By the way, Simon, have you made more permanent repairs to your strip wood canoe since the trip?
Bloody hell. Just wow 👏. These videos, all of them from this adventure are just amazing. That big by by the bridge where Rick T is shouting out advise is just fantastic. You could not buy that advise. You see that snippet in all the videos. Wow. A mate of mine who is an experienced sea sailor says of this adventure that very few can sail down those waters like that safely. Just bloody fantastic. Wow 👏. Just shows that duct tape is your friend in any outdoor adventure. I cannot say I ever want to go canoeing but wow these accounts of that trip are the best one can view on YT. JUST FANTASTIC. Well done 👏
"My Baby!" I felt that pain... Looking forward to the repair video. I'm sure you'll bring her back to top shape! Love the videos. Keep up the good work mate.
What an adventure Simon , stunning everywhere you look . Pity about the boat , but like you say it'll mend and it's memories made . I used to kayak with Rick T at Ribble Canoe Club , him and Jack know their stuff . I'm surprised he didn't whittle you up a new boat from a tree he found on the bank . Great video again Simon . Looking forward to Pt4 . ATB .
I really enjoyed this instalment of your journey. Sorry your boat took damage but you obviously managed to keep the ingress of water at bay. Thank you for the shot of your camp spot at Loch Oich as you left. It’s good for folks to see your ethical and responsible approach to immersing yourselves in the wild, even as a large group. The river section looked fantastic! Your films are always an inspiration Simon. Best wishes.
So....I was looking up how to cook meat pastry and came across this chap cooking a pastry in the bush. Since then I've been watching his vids for 3 days and absolutely entertained, much appreciated Simon.

Simon, such a shame about your baby. I'm sure you'll fix it. Loch Ness is not to be taken for granted, having only had a short cruise on a Nessy sight seeing boat, the view from a canoe is so very different, it looks bigger than ever. Another brilliant video. Thanks for sharing.
Well, Simon, you said it, obviously by the look on your face, you loved it there. I know you will put your pride and joy in the shop when you get home for proper care and treatment. Looks like your quick repairs should get you home. Home, even after a wonderful time on a supreme adventure, stepping into home, is my refuge, my place of security, comfort and much love. I wish it could be so for everyone. Thanks for taking us along. Thanks for the great videography. Thanks for your support of Alzheimer’s treatment. Texas

All I could think when watching was my spoon is in that boat, hahhaaha. Thank you Simon, I now have her back. Made my donation tonight. Simon a TOP bloke I the woods
Hi, every time I see the canoe I can't but admire it, the workmanship that's gone into it is a true mark of a craftsmanship every time I hear the canoe bottom out or hear it being dragged I think of the damage being done to the Hull and when I heard and saw you hit that rock, I cringed as if the boat was my own during the video you're canoe stands out like a sore thumb because it's the nicest one there. Anyhow l look forward to the next installment of you're journey see you soon.

Just beautiful. Love your positive attitude with a broken boat and saying it was worth it :-) thanks for sharing and keeping up the good spirits to film your repair. At that point I would have put the camera down and would had started cursing. Can’t wait to watch part four.
Wonderful third part---when you went over that rock on the rapid...I could almost FEEL the bump on the bottom---been there---done that myself. It absolutely sucks. Hopefully, the old girl is okay. This seriously has looked like you gents have had a wonderful time together, and I look forward to part four soon.
Man, what a bummer! Great trip but cracking up the most beautiful canoe I've ever seen! Thanks for the great video of a canoe trip, but, ouchy cabouchy! Take care of that boat. Most guys will never have one that nice, including me.

As we get old and abused we do start to form a few cracks from time to time. I quess it is all about how we repair them... good to see you are keeping up with yours.☺
Simon, A PREPARED Bloke on the water! Seems you were sorted for almost any contingency. Are you certain that was a rock & not a hungry Nessie? Thank goodness you were able to patch your boat & she didn't join the rank of wrecks. What a day! Another great video of adventures & friends in beautiful places.
Brilliant series of videos Simon. Bet you were more gutted about your baby than you let on but one thing is for sure, there's no-one better to repair it than the bloke who built her. Looking forward to more.
Absolutely superb! What a story to tell about springing a leak in the boat on Loch Ness -- I would have struggled to stay so calm. Will now be ordering that tape....
Honestly you’re just an amazing team player. You show everybody going out there it’s not just about you you you and it’s just amazing the whole time I was watching I was waiting for Nestlé to come out LOL
Good old Duck Tape . I had an Airboat it was Fiberglass running down a small canal and side swiped a tree about 4 inches in diameter good thing I had some Duck Tape with me . If your not Familiar with an Airboat mine had an Airplane motor on the back of the boat and that pushed the boat . Thanks enjoyed it Simon .
Thanks Simon for taking us along. Shame about the canoe but just a battle scar that will bring back memories and it not as if you haven't the skills to fix it. I can predict a repair video coming....This is arguably the best video I've watch, loved it......
Another cracking film. I think all of us watching felt that crunch on the whitewater section. Glad you were able to rig up a repair. The scenery in this series has been breathtaking. Thanks as always.
Oh yes, superb. What an amazing adventure in such an iconic location. Thankyou for sharing and making us feel as though we were there with you. Trying to watch it in sequence but not always successful. Great work.
Oh wow, those rapid sections really bounce you about! Your heart must have sank when you found the damage to the canoe. So glad you managed continue with the trip and I'm looking forward with much excitement to next episode 😁👏
That is some the best film I have ever seen of Loch Ness. You did an awesome job filming it and it what a great cause to do this adventure. My hat is off to all of you adventurers.
I really enjoyed this ! You looked like you had a great time on the rapids, it's annoying about the damage to your boat, but you took it in your stride.....and an adventure wouldn't be an adventure without something challenging happening! 😁
Good camera shots Simon . Man what a ride in the water, bet that was fun. It’s nice to get out with friends and go on trips like that. Thanks for the grate video, can’t wait for part 4 and watch out for Nessie !!! Cheers.
Brilliant Videos! Very funny to see someone fixing his canoe in scotland with tape and suddenly realizing it's made in my neighbourhood! 😳 Wish you all the best and a sucessfull repair after the journey! 🤗
Another lovely video full of gorgeous scenery and that sound of the water lapping constantly is brilliant. I always appreciate your videos and seeing all the sights you show us all. It's a bummer the canoe got damaged but I reckon it would have been worth it for the joy you got out of doing the rapids. Glad it can be fixed. Take care.
That was just wonderful to watch, probably the best ever. Antidote to a miserable day at work. Thanks so much for taking the time to film and share your adventures. Weather looked perfect.
Shame about the canoe, but scrapes bumps and scratches tell stories looked like an excellent trip! Maybe you can do a video on the permanent repair job for us all to enjoy?
These vids are getting me through a extended period of illness. So well put together and an absolute joy to watch. 🙏. Really can’t wait to get back out in it again.
How much fun! I am not a great canoeist. Pity about the boat, but better that than you. And as you said, it can be repaired. Thank you from the bottom of our lockdown. Your videos are helping me stay sane at week 10 of lockdown in Sydney, Australia.
Nice one simon, wow what an epic adventure filled day that was...worrying when you see water seeping in to the canoe. glad you got a temp fix on her. Beautiful scenery 👍🐱🐉
Brilliant video, thanks for sharing your adventures. You, and your mates are making the journey that every outdoorsman dreams of :-) :-) Have admired your canoe for so long, that seeing the hull damaged caused me a bit of pain :-) It is truly a work of art.
First of all; thanks for sharing! What an epic journey it must've been?! The scenery is absolutely stunning.. Looks like your canoe has got a fair bit of beating, hope you'll get her fixed and back to shape. Waiting patiently for part 4. Cheers.
Dear Simon ..please tell us outdoor people your tape used to repair your canoo in the footage..The clear one I mean . The duck tape ( black seemed to save you to get ashore ) but then ...the repair !!
Simon, If you plan on running rapids in the future, you might consider carrying several tubes of quick-set 5 minute waterproof epoxy for repairs such as the crack you experienced. You'd be back underway and good as new in no time. When you get back to the shop, you can sand it off and make a proper repair. Another epic video. Cheers from the States!
I just left a comment but I ran out of room anyways Simon the bloke you kick ass we love you here in Northern California peace and God bless Simon I will never stop watching your videos
Ah Simon. Being an old wooden boat owner, when you were running those rapids and I heard the crunch (!) my heart was sad for you. I knew by the sound that you were in trouble.
Another brilliant video Simon. Wicked shot of Rick fishing off the rocks 🎣
I've now watch two youtubers I follow make field repairs on this trip. One to a canoe and one to a fishing rod.
Rick T is da man for sure.
@@danieltaylor5231 I too was wondering how well the fishing rod repair worked out.
Thanks mate! It was such a stunning evening - that light made for some lovely shots 😁
Bummer about your Canoe.. Will you be filming a how to Hull Repair Video?

Cheers.
Glad you were able to repair your boat. So frustrating that it got damaged.
You can't ask for anything more here, Simon. Just great storytelling. Thank you. 🙂👍🚣♂️🏕️
I knew I heard a scraping back there on the white water rafting. Oh that sucks. But that Duck Tape is the wonder invention it’ll hold!
Yes part 3. I've been waiting for this 👍🇵🇭
Oh your poor baby ..cracked and banged up.. I feel a "Repair video " coming up next !! Great footage !! Keep up the good work Simon !
Good call Michael! I’ll get some for my repair kit! 👍👍
Simon your videos are the best....thank you. A brilliant trip indeed.

Ah Simon. Being an old wooden boat owner, when you were running those rapids and I heard the crunch (!) my heart was sad for you. I knew by the sound that you were in trouble.
