Pretty much, this song is in the Chordettes style, who were a female singing quartet from 1946-1963, their most famous hit being Mr. Sandman. Although the Buggle Boy is more similar to Cuphead's DLC song.
Cuphead is such a massive love letter to the 1930's cartoons. The people behind this game absolutely nailed they way the character's moved. Well, that's the point of cartoons, they are supposed to look silly when they moved. That's what makes cartoons very special in the first place. The facial expressions of the characters is really good. Overall, it was done by hand drawn which it's very difficult to do. It really blows my mind on how they manage to take so much time, patience, and effort put into this game. The songs are absolutely heartwarming to listen to. They are not here to push political agenda's down on people's throats, they have a story to tell. And that's a very good of a reason for them.

Given the fact that it's a pun on a dessert (Since the plot is about a dessert and dessert is usually the last course), who knows.
