    Working with hardox, but never realized exaclty how tought it really is.
    Had some thought on getting a "Hardox in my body" tattoo... ;)

    we use it alot at the quarry, rocks wear through steel quickly and this 400/450 is great but as others stated it isn't the best with movement ( constant vibrations)

    I make side dump and end dump gravel boxes out of hardox 450, thickness of parts ranging from 3/16 to 3/4 inch. This stuff is much tougher than ordinary mild steel, but it also has a lot less ductility and a lower elastic limit. As far as using it for wear and tear though, its nearly unbeatable on things that dont undergo dynamic reversals of stress, and outperforms normal mild steel i would say at least 4 to 1.

    First of Give me a grinder I'll show you something lol or even a wood ax! Second of all the tests they did a normal dumpster will stand up too The Concrete chippers or rotary hammer drill made me laugh. That would have a hard time going through a 2x4 lol this was a joke!!!

      Well the advertising was shit but having worked with hardox before I can assure you it's string as hell. When a load comes into the workshop everyone starts scratching their heads on how to deal with it as it's harder and stronger than most of the machines and tools can handle. It can't be punch, hard to centre pop, hard to drill, had to cut and hard to bend.
