    I add CASTOR OIL in my pre-shave mix. It is the slickest oil I can find.

    Hello, I tried to search your vids for the answer to my question but couldn't find it. I've found that I get a closer head shave when I exfoliate first. Also helps with post shave dry skin. I've been using a washcloth, but thinking of checking out an exfoliating glove. Has anyone used one or have an exfoliating technique they find works the best? I do plan on trying a pre-shave oil and some shave soap. It seems less wasteful than cans of shaving cream. Thanks in advance everyone!

    The reason you got bumps is that coconut oil is comedogenic (clogs pores)

  • @AereForst
    @AereForst ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Coconut oil on the face May not be the best. It’s comedogenic meaning it can cause acne. You can use castor oil instead or just more Argan oil.

    Interesting, I did it exactly the other way around haha. I was reading about peppermint oil as a minoxidil substitute some while ago and so I mixed my own Beard oil with jojoba and applied it twice a day.
    Usually, when I shave my head, I'll rub the remains of the oil into my head kind of like an aftershave balm.Helps a lot if my skin gets irritated. I love this oil, it feels like as if you were to bite into a peppermint gum, just on your face haha.
    Never thought about using it before the shave, but since but isn't the purpose of soap to dissolve oils and fats meaning the oil and soap would kind of "neutralize" each other?

    I have never noticed any benefits from preshave oil. If anything, it interferes with lather creation. Does make a good beard oil though.

      Completely false..pre-shave oil definitely works. The trick is to make sure to wash your face properly before using it

  • @profesonalantagonist

    First stop using the shave soap. It works against the oil. I don’t know about the argon oil, I’ve not used it, so I can’t say one way or the other. The coconut oil I just so so. The jojoba oil does not work well for your intended purpose. Try shaving with the oil only, you won’t go back to using soap! For the oil try a single oil by itself. Sunflower oil, avocado oil, or almond oil. I’m still working through different oils, but these three oils I can confirm works very well. These three oils I have used by themselves, and all three soften the hair, whereas the coconut is not as good, and the jojoba is a definite no go.

      Gillette makes a safety razor that I use that doesn’t shave to the skin but leaves a tiny bit. I think most safety razors are this way, as there is a safety bar that is actually what glides on the skin.

      Deal with them, as they'll likely change from negative to very positive once the people you know get used to it. Mine were very negative in the beginning, but now people compliment me a lot on it. It is just a very dominant look and people will notice. I've heard it from numerous people that didn't know me before (including girls of course). They'll admire it hat you have the balls to deal with an issue like going bald confidently and aren't ashamed of it.

      They actually have a video saying that you should not shave your head unless it's too late. They also say that you should use rogaine. I think the video is called "the biggest mistake people make when balding"(meaning they shave their heads). So yeah not a fan personally for this and other reasons.
