I really need to learn to hunt. I paid 300 for my 10 year Michter Rye and and 300 for (at the time), the only bottle of E T Lee I had ever seen in person. And I found that out near Steinhatchee Florida (the middle of nowhere). Folks have a condo in St. Augustine, so you just gave me a great excuse to drive on over for a weekend of beach time and bourbon hunting.
@@DG8RS $300 for Michter’s ain’t too bad, especially if it’s something you really want ($300 would probably be max). Ouch on the ETL, not sure why the secondary is so high on those bottles. It’s cheaper than Blanton’s at msrp, and honestly Blanton’s is better.
Personally I would have a hard time passing on the Elmer T Lee, Never see it for that cheap. Probably going to regret it but want to try it. Also the Michters bundle.
@@GOIN4BROK100 I passed the Elmer bc I actually already got one that I haven’t opened yet. If the WHOLE Michter’s bundle was $250 or maybe $300, definitely would’ve snagged.
@@kevincoe-e3o yeh I really don’t believe it’s the same juice. I honestly believe Florida is slightly above average when it comes to hunting. I’ve hunted in GA, TN, SC, and honestly FL ain’t too bad. Especially if you’re able to kinda guess when Publix gets allocations, that’s where I’ve scored some of my best finds.
What is bad about Florida? I just saw in this video LOTS of allocated bottles that I've never seen *once* in my area in the last five years. Just to name a few bottles: Michter's 10, Blanton's, Elmer T Lee, Larceny BP store pick, EH Taylor, Russell's Rickhouse. Heck, no store even has the standard 90-proof Buffalo Trace! What parts of the country would you say have rare bottles like these just sitting on the shelves?
I would probably watch your hunting videos if you didn't go so fast and you don't get close enough to see the prices. Just seeing what bottles they have on the shelf from a distance does nothing for me.
I don't know if I'd really call that "hunting" when you've got bottles like that just sitting on the shelves. Hunting on "easy mode," maybe. More like shootin' fish in a barrel.

Great selections, better than mid michigan liquor stores 👍💯😉 Cheers 🥃
Gonna visit towards the end of December. Nice video!

That laser code rumor is just that and nonsense. Florida strait sucks ass for bourbon hunting

@@denniswheeler4872 I’ll try to do better, a couple stores had issue with me filming prices. That’s why I was trying to keep things brief.
