Such a great question, I should have touched on this. I always have the rotations slide up during math each day. The students partner up based on whose name is next to theirs. The number next to the names in the tub they complete that day!
Thank you for taking the time to create this video. Videos that focused on one topic are my favorite. You shared a lot of useful information and tips. I hope you will make more of these types of videos.
Great resources! I love the math centers you created! Thank you for sharing them with us. I’ve been trying to incorporate math centers during my 1 hour math block for my 1st/2nd grade class, but it hasn’t been easy to put something together. I love that your centers are easy to prep! I have 30 minutes for each grade. My goal is to use your math center ideas for the other 30 minutes during independent math time rather than having students work on Zearn on their iPads. The less time on iPads, the better.
This will work PERFECTLY for 1st and 2nd! All the resources I linked are from amazing sellers on TPT who also have 1st grade resources so you can differentiate ❤️
@@alexandrasagastuable since my intervention students are with another teacher I mostly focus on supporting tier 1 instruction with my lions and crocs groups. I give support to complete problems on the workbook page, focus on word problems and push in any additional mini intervention they might need! When I see my high group (snakes) we do multi step word problems and intro to multiplication!
@@lisastruck7850 yes! I teach 15 minutes whole group then do the 3 15 minute rotations in small groups. That way all students get the tier 1 curriculum content for 15 minutes and then more focused instruction when I see their group at the back table!
I teach 2nd grade, too. This sounds great. I have a question. Within the Math tub part of center time, who chooses which tub to work on and when?

I'm very impressed with your organization! This looks like an amazing system! I'm glad it's working well for your students!

What size labels do you use for the solve the room cards?
What do you do at the teacher table? Do you do workbook work, extra worsheets, review? Thank you this has been so helpful.

This was so helpful. I teach 4th grade could you possibly suggest resources for my grade level. Thank you. Alicia from CT
Do you ever teach math in a whole group setting? I really want to incorporate math canters but not sure how to fit it in.
I have 30 kids so not sure how to meet all their needs.

I just changed to a mini lesson whole group and 1 hour of small group rotations and it’s been so wonderful. I look forward to it everyday!
