The Prom follows Dee Dee Allen (three-time Academy Award winner Meryl Streep) and Barry Glickman (Tony Award winner James Corden) are New York City stage stars with a crisis on their hands: their expensive new Broadway show is a major flop that has suddenly flatlined their careers. Meanwhile, in small-town Indiana, high school student Emma Nolan (newcomer Jo Ellen Pellman) is experiencing a very different kind of heartbreak: despite the support of the high school principal (Keegan-Michael Key), the head of the PTA (Kerry Washington) has banned her from attending the prom with her girlfriend, Alyssa (Ariana DeBose). When Dee Dee and Barry decide that Emma's predicament is the perfect cause to help resurrect their public images, they hit the road with Angie (Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman) and Trent (Andrew Rannells), another pair of cynical actors looking for a professional lift. The Prom is a great movie, you will want to watch it again and again. There’s something about The Prom that makes it a great movie.
Good for Netflix to make this movie with adults rather than 11-year-old girls this time.
Whilst Mama Mia irritated me this PROM movie is stunning good-feel movie with spectacular stellar performances by each and every actor/actress with Meryl and Nicole leaders of the pack. Whoop whoop xx

Alyssa and Mrs Greene had the best wardrobe, I love how they wear almost all the time something pink, don't know if that was on purpose
I think it might have been. They could have worn it because pink is seen as a “feminine” color. Mrs Greene wanted to wear it to look traditional and Alyssa wore it for her mom

I might miss something but this movie made me confused. In the beginning they seemed to poke fun at the idea that these celebrities should come to a small town and "teach" them to be open minded. At the end, that's exactly what has happened. It seemed a little weird to me.
