That tank, it's got really bad reliability, but if it's only 1 battalion I guess it doesn't matter as much, but literally 4/5 tanks just explode as they roll off the production line, I guess it doesn't need to move, nice tank.
Actually, with reliability, it's only important if you're out of supply/attritioning. If you're just sitting on the defensive, the tank's reliability will have basically no effect
What I did with Lithuania back in the day. I took Lithuanian Preservationism first, then switched to the industrial branch. Lithuanian Preservationism triggered the Iron Wolf uprising time bomb. The civil war fired in April 1937; this allowed me to grind my generals, start the extensive conscription and the war economy 2 years earlier. But more importantly, this allowed me to avoid the "Germany demands Memel" event as Memel was occupied by the Iron Wolf fascists. In the end I got to keep Memel (heavily beefed up by the generic focus tree) and avoided the German invasion. This civil war trick works well for all three Baltic republics. With no war against Germany, I was much better prepared when the Soviets came knocking: a quarter million strong army of space marines, completely unpierceable for the Soviet infantry. Improved LT chassis, automatic cannon, maxed-out armour. The Baltic Assembly was mine in no time.
Have you considered running support AA along with your med. SPAA? The piercing for support AA is a lot higher than on med spaa, and TDs don't do much other than give piercing.
Question! Is it viable preemptively invade Latvia and annex as a puppet everything at the northeast of the river to ensure a small frontline with the soviets/germans? In case the soviets invade through Latvia, at least you have the river as a barrier and a much shorter land frontier than with the actual Lithuanian borders, also you can lightly fortify the river crossing to ensure the passing through there would be impossible, greetings :D
Yes that would work, assuming the puppets will not instantly accept the Soviet ultimatum. They might do this though haha Either way though that would sort of defeat the purpose of the challenge, to get it all done alone with no help from anyone other than lithuanians
@@hatless_spider I do consider thst if the puppet refuses then Uncle Stalin would invade the puppet Latvia, but you would already posses an advantageful position holding everything at the south of the river, however as far as the video went you had an amazing playthrough!
@@hatless_spiderthe puppets absolutely will. There are no checks in the code to stop that happening, in fact, the game says in a comment and I quote "the Soviet Union does not care about your petty overlord." Hilarious.
Hey, not that it matters, but when hovering over the 'save' button in a template when checking how much equipment you need, the 'additional' just mean total needed, and the parenthesis below it say how many you have in comparison. so 300 needed but (450) in parentheses mean you have enough.
When placing spies, it is much better to place them in states near the front line (the blue "web" encompassing the front), so as to provide your troops with buffs to defense and the enemy with de-buffs on attack. Placing them in the capital does not give you those direct bonuses, so there are only drawbacks to it.
There was also probably a unit on the port and maybe a few with Poland. They could bring them to the front quickly stopping the advance, and you would loose all entrenchment, plus the buffs to fighting on core territory. When the Germans bring in more units and counterattack with air support, you'd be screwed.
Honestly, I look at all those youtubers and I don't understand why they add anti-tank to their units, even fighting the germans In my experience, anti air has enough piercing to penetrate anything the AI throws at you. It only becomes a little issue when they start producing modern tanks but that's like end game

Pretty good reliability for an Eastern Eurooean vehicle

wouldn't the AI give Memel away even if they occupy it? In my games they always do
@@selimhud
No. Memel is the only province owned and controlled by Iron Wolf Lithuania. They can't give it away.
@@el_vago Just tested it, they literally capitulate and give themselves away to germany.
you have 69 likes, nice
@@el_vago this doesn't work anymore. The germans just take Memel anyway

0:18 I love this comparison
27:57 you can request garrison support from your puppets, this gives you manpower btw
At what point IRL do you think the Germans and Soviets throw in the towel? This would have made Lithuania an absolute legend.
I feel like they would have to capitulate just from the sheer insanity of 2 million people defeating empires of 180 million and 70 million
That tank reliability was wow but the design was effective, great video

11:40 why is it a trap?
If you secure the coast, then you just have to defend the coast for a while.
Because the germans declare on poland and then you wouldn't have enough units to defend
