ice fishing large mouth bass..cool....grew up with those but never ice fishing...don't have them here where I am now but fun to see them caught through the ice. Great vid!
Another great video...im sure you've noticed the zipper that is arched shaped around the door near the stove jack...RBM used to offer an addon vestibule to the UP2 that works great for ice fishing...i got one before they were discontinued and i love it
The parent company, "bereg" offers external thermal layers for all their tents. Problems, 1) they're Russian, and 2) they're moving production to one of the 'stans (kazakhstan?)
Aha, that explains it. I was *this* close to buying one, but ended up with a Savotta Hawu 4 instead. If I'd been able to get a RBM with all the Bereg whistles, I would have.
One couldn't ask for a much fresher fish and chip meal while winter camping and ice fishing. Well done. I've heard from a few youtubers saying the UP-2 and bigger tents take a good amount of effort to pop up. Did you find that to be the case? Those tents are certainly great for winter camping.
One female user on YT had that problem. She looped a strong cord around the black plastic collar on the long threaded "opening" rod. Then she put the other end underfoot, crouched down, and stood on it. Then she stood, while thrusting the tent upwards and keeping weight on the cord. That allowed her to use her whole body to open the tent, until it wore in and got easier.
In your opinion what's the best fish to catch and eat? I've fishing is on my bucket list! I'm from Western North Carolina and I do a lot of creek fishing for native trout so I'm not familiar with any of the species up there
@gabrielbolick1667 I really enjoy the panfish like crappie and bluegill. They are a very good fish to eat. People also like walleye but I don't fish the bigger lakes too much. Sometime I would love to get into creek/steam fishing. It's hard to beat fresh trout.
It appears as though you and Leo had a great time. Thanks for sharing

You really have a top notch set up. Glad you are back filming again! Keep em coming!
Hot tenting right on the ice...that's pretty cool, and the food looked delicious!
Looks like you and Leo had another great outing and were able to catch enough fish for a wonderful dinner thank you for another great video
Fishing and camping, it doesn't get any better than that ,great video.
Nice work! A lot of time and energy goes into make good video and I appreciate your work! Cheers!
I appreciate the kind words and the support!
👍great video
Thanks, very interesting to watch!
Another great adventure.
Finally getting some good ice in my area this would be awesome to use bout now.
Nice catch
Hi seth; i sure like the screw anchor method. Ill have to get some. I have the spike style with an axe head. Nice catches and Good fun again!
I went fishing for the first time last weekend. I have a hand auger but man I need one of those things to hook into my drill/impact gun!
They work great and the k drills are pretty light. Not much heavier than a hand auger.
👍🏻👍🏻
Enjoyed your video, well done
What do you do for a living? You have all the cool toys and equipment.
@RonGross-xd3ek I operate heavy equipment during the summer and take the winters off.

@steveolesen8033 Yeah I wish I could have got my hands on one. I checked ebay and alot of other places with no luck.
@@S.W.OUTDOORS bereg has them, but dealing with a russian firm would be a gamble at best + they're moving production to Kazakhstan...
Great video. BUT a wet tent floor would DRIVE me nuts
Nice choice on your wheeler, I owe 3. Never kill them.
@kirkvermont7965 I have 2 older Hondas and they are very low maintenance. Seems like the can ams I've had always needed work done.
@ stick with the older Honda’s, you will always have something to ride.
Really enjoyed your video. Given the price of a RBM tent, part or all of the inner lining should be a thermal layer, like an ice fishing 🎣tent.

@@marktrist5170 Yes, the Canadian government sanctions on Russian products. I didn't see the tent thermal layers on the Bereg-Canadian website.

Very cool video. I know you probably don’t want to name the lake, but would you tell us the nearest town?
Used just a regular hunting pop up?? Sewed in a stove jack?
Looks great!
What tent is that??

When the tent was new it took a good amount of effort to get it to pop up. Now that its broken in from being used its much easier.
One female user on YT had that problem. She looped a strong cord around the black plastic collar on the long threaded "opening" rod. Leo has absolutely zero interest in fishing and hunting. lol
