I've been screaming that this song was about his relationship with alcohol! The movie quotes make sense if she is alcohol and he is Jimin. And he drunkenly stumbles his last steps back to the bar at the end of the Fallon performance. It's way clearer in the lyrics of the English version.

Jimin said this album was about his feelings from the pandemic, and in suchwita when he was talking about this song he mentioned that during the pandemic he was feeling “lost but didn’t realize it”, he “thought he was having fun,” and would “always drink alcohol and get drunk”, and that the members didn’t give him a hard time about it. And then when they had the Vegas concerts he “got his head on straight.” Not saying the theory is right, only jimin can confirm, but it’s valid.
You got the same thing I did... That other narrative is a far reach. Between the video, performance, his own words, and keeping in mind this during the pandemic. This being about his relation ship with alcohol flat out seems to be the best narrative, and makes the most sense from a story perspective.
@Daisy37384 I am in no way implying that our boy is not Deep and thoughtful. And keep in mind that Bangtan is notorious for layering meaning on top of meaning in their songs. It's totally possible for both of our theories to be true, I just think the alcohol one is clearly evident. Drinking during a rough time and later having a conversation with yourself as to why you did that, how it felt in the moment, and what the repercussions were is something that many of us go through as we mature into adulthood. I don't think that perspective takes away from the merit of the song or it's message, it's just another way that he chose to FACE himself, and I'm happy he shared it with us.

here's something important you need to know about this choreography. after you know this information, this dance will look completely different in your eyes. the song's lyrics talk about his reflection in the exactly same part of the choreography where he dances with the girl. as you know she is his reflection. in the choreography you also see when they are together (hugging each other) they breathe at the exactly same time as one. the dancers represent Jimin : both men and women. they are one - Jimin. Jimin is fighting his feminine side but at a certain point he accepts it that's when he only dances with the girls. then he goes back to the male side but then he accepts both sides and incorporates them. the song's lyrics and choreography match the message he wanted to convey.
and when hes in his feminine side you notice the girls are pushing him which represents his hardships he then goes to his manly side since hes so use to being in that manly side. you can then notice the women are pulling him along with the men its like he wabts to be in BOTH of his sides but due to his image hes stuck in the manly side.

Jimin in interview said he thought the movie was nice romantic but learnt that it's abt long distance relationship and pain in love and he also said he wants to portray what a person feels post breakup. I was thinking the entire time I watched this dance practice that the American dancers ate the Korean dancers up in this choreo, and then you say you thought the korean ones were carrying more here lmao. I think the big difference is that you can actually see the entire choreography in the dance practice unlike on fallon where it was dark af and zoomed in.
The darkness on the Fallon stage gave drama and sexiness so I loved it for the vibe but yeah it’s always good to be able to see the complete choreo with no camera movement
