The Nevada City Film Festival actually started in 1980. I know, because I and two friends started it. Our first guest was six-time Academy Award-winning director Frank Capra of IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE fame. The second Festival, presented the following year, featured MGM musical director Vincente Minnelli (of GIGI and AN AMERICAN IN PARIS fame) as well as legendary Looney Tune director Chuck Jones, know for his classic Bugs Bunny and Road Runner cartoons.
This is good history, and well-researched. I wish the narrator has asked someone how to pronounce "Nevada," though--especially because of the number of times it's used in this video. That said, it's a fun and interesting trip through a town I lived in for 12.5 years, and love to this day.
Lola Montez is known locally as “The SpiderDance Lady”, for a provocative dance she performed. I have lived here my whole life. Her house is still an historical site
Don't try to educate if you can't even pronounce the name of the city correctly. I can't even finish watching it because it's like nails on a chalkboard.
The girl is in 48 laws of power. A real mess image how evil you have to be to get in 48 laws of power. Unfortunately. You know like an old folk told me She thought very well. 😅

Great job!
The way she says "Nuh-vah-duh" lol. Definitely not a local.
No doubt. Only flatlanders say Nuvahda City. And she got Lola Montez's lover's name wrong. It was Ludwig, not Louis.
My grandfather helped build the old Purity store, which is still standing
Awesome! Music could be a tad lower so I can hear narrator
Unicorn Utopian Hippieville.
I like this place
It’s pronounced na-VAD-a not the Bay Area pronunciation you hear on this video
I spit my chai latte out made by a Bay Area transplant downtown thanks 😂
Neh-va-duh
I just wish she could pronounce Nevada correctly.

I never notice how she pronounced Nevada because I say it the same.

The woman needs to learn the proper way to pronounce the word Nevada.
Hearing you mispronounced Nevada 1000 times is irrigating
Who cares how she pronounces Nevada ... what is wrong with you people?
Sorry, irritating
No mention of trimmigrants
