- Glenfarclas 12 year old Single Malt Scotch whisky is one that I am very familiar with. I am not a fan, but I really like the 17 year old. Anyway, here is my review for your perusal. Please comment whether or not you are a fan of this distillery.

I have seen some people who seem to enjoy Glenfarclas 12 but friends who have tried it always criticize it and let me know to avoid it! So I will! It is good to know the 17 is better! Nice review and thank you. The work that goes into making this content, I bet, is time consuming at the least. I never had the twelve. Now that I have a confirmation that it sucks I probably will check it out, lol. (Pretty certain that I've spent more money on worse whisky). I have had the seventeen year old, which I enjoyed (it used to be $115 US, but I wouldn't buy it at today's nonsense prices...around $190 US). I have a bottle of twenty-five year. Not as appealing to me as the seventeen. Wouldn't repeat, especially in this current whisky market. Your sincerity and matter of fact(ness) will always have my respect. Cheers.

Glendronach is my go-to non-Macallan sherry malt these day. Oddly enough, we don’t see Glenfarclas very much where I’m from.
Yeah, GlenDronach is pretty solid. I haven’t seen it where I am for a while but it is deserving of a review.

Firstly, I’d like to say any review can be made into a positive. Give your opinion on it and either suggest an alternative or compare it to others for reference. I for one tune in because I find your reviews interesting and like the relaxed vibe and how you come across. Give your opinions about blends or even past bottles you’ve had etc. I think the people that follow you know you’re different and your style is unique.
That said, Around what year is this bottle from? I’ve had one. It was from @2015. It wasn’t bad as I recall. As far as sherry goes. I’ve bought bottles I haven’t gotten around to yet. As I don’t like to have too many opened at once. Of the ones I’ve opened, I’ve most enjoyed the old Billy Walker Glendronach 15 & 18. A cut above the rest. Recently I had Tamdhu 15 and it’s very good. Glengoyne 18 (old tube version) is classy and refined but not as strong as I like them. Bunnahabhain 12 is solid. I am considering the 18 but it’s so expensive now and many claim there’s an ongoing issue with batch variations. For the price you want consistency. I could go for the Tamdhu 18 but the price isn’t better.

Another awesome review. Please keep them short. Love Ralfy but too long. Glenfrarclas 12 is not bad, especially for the money.
It's ok for me, better then Glenlivet 12 and Glenfiddich 12. I prefer Glenfarclas 10 though, taste fresher and cleaner. Occasionally I do enjoy the 105, excellent value for a cask strength.

I only like the 17. They 15 didn’t impress me.
@@JasonDebly Beware of batch variation with the 15... When you get a good one you will know it, but it can be disappointing if you get a bad one. You must have had a bad one.

I'll bite. If you don't like it, why have you apparently had several bottles? Did a case fall off a truck for youi?
Ralfy rated it higher than the 15. I don’t dislike it but it’s nothing special. Let’s compare with other fully sherried 12 year olds and the colour of Farclas is much lighter, compared with Glendronach 12, Glenallachie 12 or Bunna 12.
And compared to the other sherry bomb 12 years old I’d submit it is running dead last. Thanks for commenting!
