The sad thing about the duo which were shown at the start, the guy with one eye and the old one, is that they most likely died in "On Stranger Tides" when Blackbeard took the Black Pearl. Like Barbossa says he was the only one who survived, so unfortunately, we have to assume that one of the best duos in the movie series died. It's sad :(
