    People tend to forget animal's weren't "meant" to rely on human's for food. And kibbles are actually a pretty new thing in reality.. Dog's are SUPPOSED to eat meats. Human's decided it's easier if we can scoop them a bowl of dry vitamin cereal once a day instead...

    LOL for the "feeding raw will make your pet more aggressive" part. I have heard so many people asking me about that when they knew my two cats were fed raw. They even asked if my kitties would bite my ankles when they are hungry😂😂 while the truth is my cats have the sweetest personalities. Not only they never bite us, they would even stop eating when their teeth accidentally touched our fingers when we feed them treats. I really hope more ppl would come across this video and know raw feeding better. We wanted to train our kitties to serve as therapy cats for other ppl in need but most of the institutes have rules saying they don't recruit cats who are on raw diets to be on their program, which is very sad...

    Wonderful video! The past few months I’ve really become obsessed with raw feeding and resources like your videos haha, I watch them all day! But I have a bit of a problem. I’m trying to find a best food possible for my dog but unfortunately raw isn’t really possible for me due to the fact that I have OCD, especially surrounding contamination and raw meat. I then look for fresh cooked brands of food but they always have legumes and peas and I’m worried about DCM. Then of course there is wet food, but again it always has legumes and the idea of fresh food sounds so much better. I’d love to do a home made cooked diet but have no idea on how to start looking for balancing! I know your a raw feeding channel, but any videos relating to cooked home made would be super helpful! That or a list of links! Thank you 😊

    Almost every time I post some of my dog's meals on FB, someone starts talking about how can I feed something like THAT to a small dog? It's disgusting and I'm trying to hurt him. They might even add that only big dogs can eat bones :D But when asked what's the difference between big and small dogs, they just keep quiet. I have a papillon cross who is about 3,5 to 4 kg and he has been raw fed for some time now. He can deal with turkey necks, duck and rabbit heads, whole quails etc. I don't know what makes people think that small dogs are not really dogs and need a special approach and it's not exclusive to raw feeding. I get called abuser for almost everything - muzzle, crate, raw feeding, training, doing sports etc.

But it's always hilarious when they claim they feed their babies so much better - cooked diets (even bones), PURINA, RC etc. 😂 As for being called an abuser - I once got called that for posting a picture from a train where he was obviously wearing a muzzle. • @SpiralstaticXX
      @SpiralstaticXX 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Here’s how I look at it, given that there are some amazing premade raw options.
      You can either feed your dog kibble and save a bit of money up front, have a much less healthy dog who will have a shorter lifespan, massive giant stinky kibble poops, and other potential issues, and end up spending that saved money down the line on expensive vet work, OR
      You can feed a premade raw option that cost a bit more up front, but will make your pet healthier, live longer, have way more manageable and less smelly poops, and likely avoid the expensive surgeries and treatments that putting your dog on kibble will inevitably cause down the line.
      It’s a small time and monetary investment that you’ll more than recoup as your dog ages. If your dog has a surgery that costs thousands, even just one, that’s probably the difference between raw and kibble for its entire lifespan.
      The same way doctors want to Medicate you because they’re paid by pharmaceutical companies to do so, Vets want your dog on kibble because the manufacturers pay them bonuses AND it also contributes to you having to visit them more. Vets learn virtually nothing about pet nutrition in school and they’re not going to overstep the companies putting money directly in their pocket.

      Cooked bones can indeed do what your vet told you, but raw meaty bones don’t break apart the same way when your dog eats them.

      in a dog that was fed kibble their whole life or if its a cooked bone then yes there is a risk. You see dogs as evolutionary carnivores naturally have a so called "needle reflex" in their gut which means that if a sharp bone fragment pricks on their intestinal wall, the gut turns it around to prevent harm. Of course kibble fed dogs lose that reflex so if you transition to raw you need begin with small blunt raw meaty bones like chicken necks or turkey necks. The danger of cooked bones has already been explained by Auxiliary Band. Also giving the bones covered in flesh and tendon covers the sharp edges and protects the GI tract - which is a way how predators naturally ingest bone.

    Not disagreeing, but, How wd we even know that dog chow is 'nutritionally balanced'? How skewed is the info provided to us (the consumers) by the industry? Look at human 'meal replacement' drinks...surely that's not an optimal diet...just a few cheap supplements tossed tgthr by the industry and the RDA exec's. We don't even know much about how humans should eat! Few years back, Keto was the thing, now those same ppl who promoted it are saying to cycle in and out of it. Compare dif' experts, and they'll have various recommendations. I try to feed myself and my dogs the best I can (99%). Grass fed burger is a LOT$! Organic free range chicken's largely unavailable. Our eggs aren't always the best. I DO know, as far as humans go...our meals don't have to be 'balanced'...it's wide variety over time that provides us with a better share of the nutrients we need.

      Thats strange - are you sure its from the food? Sometimes it can technically happen that a dog who is somehow imunocompromised (for example disrupted microflora and you have no idea) can get salmonella or something from a low quality raw diet (though they can get an infection from kibble too) but losing mobility is more of a neurological issue. This almost sounds like he ingested something toxic, like a rat bait (actually kibble is more likely to contain something harmful than raw). And yeah vets like to link every single issue to a raw diet :( Even if its actually not connected at all. I would really think your dog could have eaten a poison - those usually manifest through sudden distress like vomiting, diarrhea, fever, high blood pressure and neurological issues like tremors, seizures and loss of mobility. Make sure your dog´s kidney and liver values are ok. But im telling you - this doesnt sound like an issue from a raw diet. And I am objective - I would say it if I thought so.
