Falcon is one of the easiest characters to get 0-deaths with, most of the time it's a series of true combos off d-throw at zero connected by 2 or 3 simple 50-50s. Fatalitys in game 2 was the cleanest I've ever seen, usually they're pretty mid
This is just like MkLeo with Byleth,, Just because a character isnt the best on paper/tierlist doesnt mean there cant be someone to push them to the absolute limit, going beyond what was deemed possible for the character
Oh yeah i agree. Its why someone like peanut can give great players with great characters a hard time. You just wish they gave some of those harder to win characters a little more like just some speed so incin can have follow ups be true combos
mkleo is the best player in the world playing what everyone agreed was a mid tier with 2 secondaries, skyjay is playing an agreed on low tier solo main and upset a few players
The best part is people saying some characters are bad when in this game every character has a fighting chance for how many matchups there are. 3 years in, character specialists take the game farther away, which makes it very interesting to watch.
seriously. bassmage is another great example with puff. you have character specialists push the meta of these characters for years and really take people by surprise with how optimized they are despite playing a “bad character”. really shows it’s about the player

This game huge roster will make it have a huge longevity, because every now and then certain players can show up shaking things up. Representation at a higher level will also change peoples opinions on things Willy nilly. There’s a lot of very good characters that you never see in top 8s so…
I think that's the best part about a game going further and further into its lifespan. Who knows there may be somebody soon that takes a garbage character and takes them beyond what everybody thought possible. It's exciting in a way
Incineroar's worst button is the left stick, everything else about him is super good. Powerful attacks, good frame data, honestly not too bad of a recovery.
Wow..I'm sort of striken here. I always like seeing falcon win because to me he's kinda cool but I also like seeing typically "bad" characters be used in a way that make people think.
I think it helps that Incineroar sort of hits a lot of the same beats as Falcon in terms of being a "hype" character, I find. Not the greatest, but has powerful tools that allow for explosive plays, and a flashy personality to boot.
This is a match of two chads playing smash. Ignoring the broken dlc and just playing these characters to have fun. Respect to these two and all non-cringe players
Let us get this straight so people don't start tweeting about if Incineroar is actually good. SkyJay is a good player. His opponents are good players as well. SkyJay knows most of the matchups Incineroar does bad in. His opponents do not. How to counterplay Incineroar? Stop doing regular getup on ledge. And Don't approach him.
It is hard for Falcon to not approach because every set up he has, starts with approaching the opponent. BUT if you have a projectile or disjoint. Use it. Holy shit I DO NOT wanna hear people saying camping Incineroar won't work. Slowest character in the entire game AND a very exploitable recovery.

I did it by accident today and went nearly 3/4 stage. But yeah, I imagine swordies and characters like that can just outspace incin and they just can't do much except use that armor lol.

Incin isn’t bottom 5, in my opinion he is high D tier or low C tier, because revenge and side b really help him actually be playable, and he has the frame data on his side, like how darkest lariat is frame 5.

Fatality: amazing combos, reactions, zero to deaths, reads. SkyJay: hits a side B which sends the opponent offstage and wins by edgeguarding. Can't help but feel like Fatality deserved the win more. Then again, one can argue that he should / could have expected and respected side B more.
But on this toptier level you cant just run up and side b, it is a lot of work to get to the point where this works. Also there aren't many real combos u can do with incin, unlike falcon
SWT was full of great sets this year. I don't think this was the most agressive set in all of ultimate either but its up there. We haven't even peaked in the gameplay department yet sadly. How are people so slow at developing a meta of such an easy to master and learn game? Ultimate has the least amount of skill deph of any smash game out there.
3 years ago we'd never see an Incineroar in top tourney play, I'm glad some players keep to their mains despite years of new Meta and DLC
Buffed just about into viability. That said, Skyjay is amazing.
As someone that picked up incin as a main day 3 of the Game's release, a set like this makes my heart happy

Projectile characters are his worst mu, someone who zones well is super draining to fight as incen.
