At first glance I didn’t think this sink was going to clean up. But with a little determination and willpower (and my handy power scrubber 😂) I was able to pull it off. It obviously still has some wear from age, but I’m so happy with how it turned out! What do you think? (Tools & Products Used: Clorox Cleaner + Bleach, Barkeeper’s Friend Powder, Soft Scrub, Scrub Daddy, & Ryobi Power Drill Brush Scrubber)
@@lalithakanesalingam6958 good question! To be honest I should have… I really wasn’t sure what was going to work to get it clean so I usually start with a sponge and go from there.
What would you use on a clean tub that still has that off white aging to the bottom of the tub? Is there anyway to make that sparkly white again or is it just wear and tear 😢
Quick tip for using bleach/ chlorine: apply it at night. Chlorine's effect is reduced because the light affects the molecules and makes it less effective (hence why the bottles are always solid white/ green/ blue but never transparent), so if you apply it and let it do it's thing through the night, you can clean it up in the morning pretty easily without all the handy effort. Be careful though, and leave the area ventilated when you apply, because the smell can be dangerous for you.
Corian countertops and sinks are a pain, they were popular once, but quickly fell out of favor because they stain easily. My sister-in-law had them and if you put a newspaper down the ink would stain the Corian countertops.
I lived in a house for 5 years that had a black matte sink. I DESPISED that thing. I couldn't tell when it was dirty...it was BLACK!🤷🏻♀️ I couldn't tell when I had gotten it clean...it was BLACK!🤷🏻♀️ I quickly learned not to use powdered cleanser, because it was nearly impossible to rinse it off completely. It would look fine wet, but once it dried, it had whitish streaks. I finally settled on Scrubbing Bubbles for cleaning.
I loved your video esp when you used yr Ryobi power scrubber. I'm a 75 year old lady who loves to have a sparkling clean house but as the years go by and my arthritis flairs up keeping up with a cleaning schedule is getting more and more difficile. Thank you for giving us the power scrubber info as I'd like to purchase one. I hope it comes with other attachements suitable for washing kitchen walls or cars. Hope you you do a video on this little machine Just subbed.
Great job! Just a thought 💭 Fill sink halfway with boiling hot water. Pour bunch OxiClean in it, let it sit for 30 minutes -at least -then come back to it, scrub it. Then bar keepers if that didn’t lift it. Protect the integrity of the sink.
Not for this one. They work great but I think the soft scrub and power brush was the only way, I have the same sink and I gave up trying other things. I’m trying the soft scrub next
After all that cleaning I would have also used the non splash bleach. You pour it on the sink and then put paper towels on let it sit for 30 minutes then wash again with regular dish soap ❤❤ make it white again
Very satisfying! People give up too soon on some stubborn stains. It took me months once to get a burned up Revereware pot I found on the side of the road looking like new, but it's beautiful now.
I used to do tub/sink repair/resurface professionally, and it might surprise most people how a good cleaning is all most of these porcealin surfaces need. Nice job!
I love that particular bleach spray its absolutely amazing it works so well you can literally just spray it on let it do its thing and wash it down without even scrubbing at all and it will completely remove stains perfectly its great.🙂👍✌️
I love my Krud Kutter. That stuff saves me time, money and effort. It is food safe too. One spray for most jobs. Thank Thomas Johnson for the tip, he turned me onto it.
Promise you acid/brightener washing it with most wheel cleaners would have tackled that job as well and would have brightened it up. Good job!!! I love detailing!
You've gotta try The Works. It's great for lime scale which I find is usually the case with old sinks and tubs. I let it sit overnight. Or, for those who prefer eco friendly solutions, try straight vinegar and drape toilet paper over problem areas and saturate w vinegar and leave overnight. Flush in the morning and scrub. For sinks, you can use paper towels or clean rags and use the same method but ofc throw out the paper towels instead or wash rags.
Mr clean magic eraser on this I’m telling you it’s amazing, also use it on your tubs I ran my own house cleaning business and this saved so much elbow grease
Yikes, I flinch seeing scrubbing when the powder is dry. Needs to be wet to avoid scratching, even BKF powder. Let cleaners sit a bit before scrubbing. A wet pumice stone works great.

Why didn't you use the drill brush first? Just curious.

Did great!
✨soft scrub✨
Pulls out power grinder
That thing spins at like 1000 rpm that a grinders speed is at 13000 rpm😂
🤣🤣🤣 my first thought too
I would have given up after the first attempt with Clorox 🤣 Way to stick with it - the sink looks great! 👍😎
Странные у вас средства, белизна за 3 секунды из искусственного камня раковину чистит и не надо ничего тереть😮

I use Barkeeper's Friend for everything.
Are you somekind of miracle worker ??? It came out amaizing 😊
Somedays are better than others 😅
I just start with the soft scrub on white sinks, let it set for a while and it’s done after that.
Commercial Soft Scrub is the only thing I use on our old porcelain sink. Gets it clean and shining every time.
I would've worked the drill with the bar keepers friend or get the liquid version too. Good job. God bless.

Love this! It's def much more sanitized too. ☺️
Wow ! You really brought out the major artillery to battle that sink, great job !
That Scrub Daddy must've been worn and withered out by the end of this clean!
You are persistent and amazing! It encourages us all!
I have white sinks and the only product that works great for me with scratches and stains is the Comet lavender one not the original but the lavender
Bar Keepers Friend also works sooo good🎉
Laisser tremper avec du percarbonate fonctionne aussi très très bien 👍🏻 sans frotter 😉
I haven't seen Soft Scrub...in a long while!!...✌️❤️😎🤔😊👍👍
My parents have one of these matte finish sinks in their kitchen too. I tried to BKF it recently and wow did it take a lot of time and muscle!

Le plus simple est de laisser tremper plusieurs heures avec du percarbonate de sodium 😊 et ça redevient propre 😉 (j’ai le même genre d’évier)

I use oxy-clean sitting in a wet bathtub. Just wet, not in water. Soak for as long as possible I go overnight scrub and it usually cleans up good.
Great job!

Amazing! You really put a lot of work into that, and it paid off.
i love that you didn’t give up!!!
Ugh I love cleaning sinks like this!😂 my favorite
Looks like a lot of work lol. But im sure its satisfying in the end 🥴
That is very satisfying. Looks beautiful
Something else I have used and works great on sinks like this, those Mr. Clean erasers!
Not for this one. They work great but I think the soft scrub and power brush was the only way, I have the same sink and I gave up trying other things. I’m trying the soft scrub next
@@chaimomma9198 that’s good but I have the same sink also and the Mr. Clean works well for mine.
Whoever invented the scrub daddy is a genius!
Wow how long did that take? It is so good!
Those videos are the best!
Thanks so much for watching!
At the beginning I literally thought “oh you need some barkeepers friend” and I was very please to see it whipped out 😂
Excellent job....I recommend Krud Kutter/Spray nine-no scrubbing -the dirt just runs away
Steelwool and barkeepers friend..... 👍
Steel wool? Yea if you want to scratch it
You have to let the bar keepers Friend sit for a bit. It's acid-based and the longer it sits the more it burns through the built-up stains.
I enjoy cleaning vídeos are relaxing 😊

You know it's serious when you have to get out the drill to clean it! 😮
I'm proud of you. Beautiful job
I'll use the Pinalen Floral Delight Cleaner, Steam Cleaner, and then Rinse
I use Pinalen to clean just about everything!! Even mirrors!!
Bro used soft scrub and scrubbed it with the most hardest tool 🔥🔥🔥
Soft scrub 🙌🏽 I love using this on the bathroom
I used to do tub/sink repair/resurface professionally, and it might surprise most people how a good cleaning is all most of these porcealin surfaces need. Nice job!
Mines got some staining around the bottom perimeter mostly. I've tried comet but nothing. Imma try the soft scrb and the drill method if I have to
Great job! 👍☀️😎

Magic eraser and comet for me 😊 always gets the job done
Mr. Monk would love this.😊

Let’s not talk about using a power tool on old porcelain sink. Just made more crevasses for shit to cling to

Dishwashing gel is super good making you sink sparkling white
The sink in my previous house looked like this. The only thing that got it sparking clean was a magic eraser lol
So satisfying to watch
That noise from scrubbing makes my hair stand on end
I subscribed 😊
Wow! Next you should apply a blowtorch to melt down the top most layer of that plastic sink to make it smooth lol
Sooo clean 🤭

pass it on
I had one of these sinks that was chemically stripped like this one from bleach or whatever, so frustrating. It'll be dirty again in a day
I bought a sink like this knowing that it was a pain in the ass to keep clean, but its worth it to me because I love the look
Love the way he used a soft sponge with cleanser And I have a brush with soft scrub
You should try also percarbonate sodium, maybe it's faster and easier.
I miss those big porcelain sinks !!!WASH DAY WAS A BREEZE..
