DONT KNOW WHY YOUR VIDEOS GIVE ME FAMILY LIKE FEELING. it's because you are down to earth you don't show off and you talk to anyone like a family member keep it up. ❤❤❤
It’s sooo cute, Yan. No worries 😃 Thank you so much for your amazing sensible and detailed videos. It’s rare as a viewer to experience as being actually there ! I cannot stop watching them … Loving regards from the Netherlands 🇳🇱!
It doesn't matter what you do you always look cute. Its always a pleasure to watch your videos and they are excellent at making me feel relaxed and enjoy seeing more of China and its culture. There is so much more that I want to learn about China. If you ever come to the south of Guangxi, my wife and I would be very happy to treat you to lunch.😊
Thank you for that historical explanation. I had no idea the arabs had been to this part of China. It’s nice to learn these little bits and pieces in a fun way.
I love just how naturally pretty you are. One of the rare beauties in China that looks great even without makeup. The head dress looks so cute, very apt for the occasion. Your video is amazing as usual. Really fit the theme of unseen China. So wonderful that you highlight all the lesser seens ethnic groups and their celebration. China is truly an amazing and all encompassing country. 加油啊妹妹。Looking forward to more amazing videos from you.
💜 Another superb insight into a fascinating cultural experience Yan! I’m sure we all appreciate your slightly painful-looking efforts to dress up, but no need…you already have one of the loveliest faces on TH-cam 😍 I’m so enjoying the series - keep up the great work!
Hi Yan, whatever you do, you do it in a cute way. Your videos are very entertaining and you always act very natural. You seem to be (or you are) the nice girl from next door. The way you wore these flowers and the wig, awesome 🤣 It's always a pleasure watching you! 😃♥️
It think it is great that you take part in the women s festival . You look fine and thanks for sharing the fine culture of Quanzhou . I like your work my friend , keep up the great work!!!!!!
My boyfriend and I live in Brooklyn and we love your videos! Always so interesting and authentic. Going home to Guangxi this summer for the first time in 5 years! Hope to see you there ❤
Another pearl. You should get an award for excellent China travel content. Love to see you get your own TV show - would do wonders to help Westerners understand and appreciate China - Unseen China is the best xx
Responding to the title of your video - Is it cute? My response: you always look cute, even more cute with head decoration. I enjoy your vlogs, as if I am traveling there. Thank you.
Nice video :) I stumbed upon your Tulou-video last week and watched so many of your videos since then. I was sick in bed the last week or so, so that made things less bad :)
I love how you laugh at life & at yourself, too! It really is all so funny & yet fun, fascinating & lovable, this amazing experience of human life here. Don't blame you for taking the flower wig off but I'm glad you tried it. May Mazu Goddess live on!
I have only seen from the video and listening what all of you are talking and celebrating day.We can see all the peoples clearly in the videos. Happy watching from Malaysia(Sarawak )
You looked cute and pretty with the flower head gear. I am sure Mazu will bless you always 🙏. Thanks again for sharing this Amazing video of the celebration in China 👍👍🥰
You're so awesome! I loved this video. I live in Taiwan and we do this too but I've never seen the flower hairstyles. I wish I could do that with my hair too!
Yan. The flowers looked good on your head. You have shown us a colourful parade. This kind of event will teach the future generations of their roots and why certain diety is celebrated year after year. It is great to see everyone in town and tourists alike take part in the excitement.
Thank You so much again Ms Yan for this awesome video and awareness of yet another goddess in China,, I laught when you pulled out those hair decor from your head cause its heavy and so tight, 😆 but still thanks a lot for the beautiful scene,,
Hi Yan, 🏵💮🌼🪻⚘️🌸🌹🌷 thank you for taking us with you to this colorful and lively event. I had no idea before about this tradition. And the flower decoration and hair style of the women and of you looked absolutely beautiful 🌷🌹🪻🌸🌼⚘️💮🏵 xie xie also for the subtitles and for commenting in Englisch that we can understand.👍
Thanks so much for this video. You can't imagine how much nostalgia the images bring back to me here watching in London where I've lived for many decades. You see, my grandma was born in Xiamen, Fujian Province but had migrated to another neighbouring country in SE Asia in her early 20s. Some of the elderly ladies in your video reminded me of my grandma and believe it or not, I can actually understand what they were talking in your video because it was the Hokkien dialect they were talking and I learned Hokkien from my grandma when I was a kid. It is not a wonder now understanding why my grandma had always styled her hair the same way as those ladies in your film.
Hello Yan, never thought you would be dressed up like that, but everyone dressed up like that seems to look cute too. Too bad it's so uncomfortable. It's interesting that all are welcome to join in and dress up together.
Very beautiful and colourful. In the West, the red colour means passion and yellow is friendship, we must remember that when we give flowers as a gift. Yan, what about China, do colours have a particular meaning? Thank you! 🤗💖😀
Red has a somewhat similar meaning in China, being associated with fire, happiness, good fortune, success, etc. Golden yellow is an important color to Buddhists and traditionally stood for royalty and the earth, although in recent times, it's commonly associated with adult entertainment.
Interesting. Gold yellow I though was associated with Buddhist enlightenment as I have seen many golden Buddha statues. Adult entertainment is always red in the West. In Amsterdam, Holland, the red district is where prostitutes legally work. In French, Moulin Rouge (Red Windmill) is also the title of a famous musical movie about the Moulin Rouge, a place to watch women doing sexy dancing and singing Voule Vous Coucher Avec Moi Cette Soir (Do you want to sleep with me tonight?)
Hi Yan, thanks for letting us share celebrations with you & enjoy wonderful China, your videos are excellent, China's heritage is so interesting, Enjoy your journey it's brilliant, best wishes from England 🎉
I learned from Bilibili that you have made great efforts to promote Chinese culture. You are really excellent, and you will become an excellent TH-camr!
E' da poco tempo che vedo i tuoi filmati sulla Cina. Sono estremamente interessanti e fatti veramente molto bene. Complimenti e continuerò sicuramente a seguirti. Dall'ITALIA.
I noticed there were a few bonsai trees in deeper pots, like it was back in the days when bonsai started in China.. The more shallow pots came later when Japan started picking up bonsai. Love your channel, I really got interested in Chinese and Japanese culture ever since I started bonsai 6 years ago. And it's nice to see not so popular and touristic sides of China.
I lived in China but haven't been able to go back in years due to the pandemic and global inflation. I really miss it there, thank you for taking us on your trips. I feel really nostalgic :')
Absolutely nice celebration. Thanking the sea and praying for safe voyages is a common custom all over the globe. I liked your hair gear , you should use it all day long. Not very convenient to go to the cinema, though! Definitely women in China , as well , talk much more and more rapid than men. Lol
I recall watching a similar parade at night in Taiwan where a crowd carrying a deity in a sedan chair emerged from a temple and began going through a very tight crowd. All the while, large quantities of firecrackers were exploding all around the people carrying the chair. It looked terribly dangerous to me, but no one else thought so, I guess. It made for a very exciting spectacle, especially because it was at night. That 25 years ago and yet I remember it so clearly.
I am now in Canada, the video is my hometown, I once bought an apartment only one kilometer away from this village. This village also has beautiful houses made of oyster shells.
Aww, you looked cute. 🤩 Thanks for sharing. I can totally understand their Hokkien. Hope to visit Quanzhou/Fujian in the not very far future. 🙏Thank you for your quality content. It's educational and entertaining. In any case, you always looked great! Thank you Yan. 🥰
...through the years, my endearment to almost everything about CHINESE is INCREASING....much so, that indeed WE HAVE CHINESE BLOOD ( just like MOST of the FILIPINOS).... YOU'RE MORE THAN SOOO CUTE❤❤❤.

You look cute with a flower bun on your head. And the festival of the god Mazu looked very festive. Thank you for sharing. Greetings from Singapore.
In Malaysia we too worship mazu. Tying your hair was funny
