Let's face it, it's Sami Mania. He is a '2014 Daniel Bryan' or Kofi Mania level crowd favorite right now and honestly if there's a triple threat WrestleMania event in the end, he will command the crowd backing more than Cody would and that's saying a lot. If Sami wins the titles at WrestleMania the wwe universe would go nuts.
Sami is more over than Cody. Everyone loves a good underdog story and the WWE hasn't had one since Daniel Bryan and Kofi. Triple H can't afford to mess this up because in my opinion this is what makes or break his ability to push the biggest underdog star over with Sami something Vince couldn't do without persuasion.
I honestly think that if you put a triple threat people will be on Sami and Cody side cause both of them just work as faces. I still remember the interaction they had before EC and it was such a good face to face promo. But i rather roman defend both titles, fuck the unification, instead of a triple threat.
This crowd alone is the reason why Sami Zayn should've won the title. You will never come close to recreating a moment like this. I hope whenever he wins the world title it happens in front of the amazing Montreal crowd. They really know how to love their people. The best crowd since 1997 and they've been killing it everyfucking time.
@@FaysalIsGoatedWon't feel the same though. It should've happened at EC. I don't think anyone had got this sort of emotional reaction from the crowd in Roman's title reign. I hope he does win the world title someday and I hope it's in Montreal. Sami deserves his moment and so does Montreal. They haven't repaid them since the 97 screwjob. Sami winning it in front of that Montreal crowd is the fitting fairytale. That's a bigger moment than winning it at mania. Sounds stupid but the connection Sami has with Montreal is rare and not a lot of people get such a pop in front of their home crowd. The Montreal crowd absolutely blows the roof off the bell's centre when this guy makes his entrance. A fairytale ending tbh.
When this first happened I was like "Okay it was a fantastic match and one of the most convincing possible title changes of all time, maybe the Roman storyline down the line and tag title reign will justify it." I'm here to tell you where the Bloodline story is at this point did not justify Sami losing.
Just wish they would have done it. He could have dropped it the next night. Love Cody but the pop Sami would have got, it would have been one of those classic magical moments they are always wanting. I really hope Sami gets his flowers one day. He deserves a run with the championship off this story alone. So does Jey for that matter.
For something as big as beating Roman, i dont think it should have happened here in EC. That spotlight needs to take place at a Wrestlemania. And yeah although atmosphere was amazing here, dont forget it was the same for Drew Mcyntire at Clash at the Castle in the UK.
@@alexo1256 very good point man. It does feel tho Sami is over everywhere right now though not just his home country. He's on that Daniel Bryan run from 2014 I feel like. I'm torn on Roman now. They've built him up so well now that I'd kinda like him to see him hold it till summer slam where he didn't drop it to Sami. I fear that would probably hurt Cody though so I don't know. But if he was to beat Cody, let Jay be the to beat roman. He earned it from their hell in the cell match.
@@Dople1989 yeah at this point, if Cody loses, like who else is left in the roster. There would be no opponent for Roman, except maybe the bloodline themselves? Jey would have been a good candidate except he has confirmed he is in the bloodline again when he attacked Sami. So idk.
You know in the long run, I'm still sad Sami didn't win. Have you watched Raw? Cody and Sami are both extremely over.
I would say he might've overcame Kofimania hype and is on his way to Danielson hype too

Somehow Sami gotta go for 1 of Romans title at WM! If he goes for tag titles it’s gonna suck

Maybe he’ll win the new world championship that Seth’s currently holding.

Sami 100% should’ve won

100% Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes all 3 should have won it.

Thinking back at it now, the usos vs Sami/KO would of made sense, have Jey cost Sami the title the next night had he won here.
Yes-leMania…….. Kofi-Mania……… Wrestle-Zaynia!!!!! WWE dropped the ball with not having Sami beat Roman!
