@@davidlamothe8586 oh yeah but in fact they are just cutting the guitars on studio. Noise gates wouldn't give such a chopped sound, or those guys are pure guitar genius (which is not the case)

Birth A Legend yea volumes kinda dissapointed me when they went from havinf tech riffs and shit to going pretty much basic when they got there new singer....... now everythings generic and boring tbh
Proud of these guys ..... how many people can honestly say they've been here since the new reign era? It's been 11 years my dudes and I've loved the ride.
Mason Stanley a million percent agree, with this wave of producers who produce massive earth shattering shit, his shit is tiny and just sounds bad. Not a TH-cam engineer, my ears don’t like the sound of his mixes
even if his end goal was to have a rather natural-sounding mix, guys like Will Putney/Graphic Nature, Kurt Ballou, and Jay Maas do a W A Y better job at it I just honestly don't understand Nick's mixes, like his work with ERRA was absolutely underwhelming
Ooooof this is fuuuuckin lit! It's very different that your older stuff, but yet it holds on to alot of your roots. It's soooo goood, I'm glad you guys explored some different sounds for this.
I don't get it. This song is chugging, followed by more chugging, with a few quick sweeps and pinch harmonics (over chugging), a chord here and there, and finally a solo towards the end. Played over more chugging. How exactly is this different. It's the exact same shit they've always done. It's better than TWDA and Soul Sphere, only because this sounds less mainstream, but it's just a super watered down and much less creative The Discovery.
OneSickDrummer Those aren’t sweeps it’s pinch harmonics followed by pick scrapes mixed with tremolo picked notes and open notes between the tremolo picked notes to create separation. It’s very similar to Rosecrance from The New Reign actually.
Labedincoln yeah but a different kind of people, as I only know people who use it ironically and the people who do use it a lot I rarely hang out with as their chat is usually pretty shit.
Absolutely love that verse right after the intro! This is bouncy and heavy and seems almost a new direction for these talented boys, very neat sound on this track! Excited for more \m/
THERE IT ISSSSSS - I've been craving this sound forever! A refreshing take from their last few albums (Not that they were bad), but very nice to have some bouncy riffs and some VERY solid gating. Their synth work has been incredibly refined as well! Perhaps their remaster of the New Reign sparked a creative insight? Either way, I hope these dudes never stop writing! (Oh, and come back to Ottawa! :D)
Here's what I love about this song- they've gone back to having technical guitar riffs in the forefront of the music instead of just relying on synth beats
Born of Osiris is so good at making musical notes that just make (me) at least imagine space & the cosmos. If space tourism ever becomes real I know what band will be topping my playlists lmao
Am I missing something here? Their bassist isn't pictured here Edit: Nevermind, they mostly just cropped him out due to graphics on screen. You can spot him below Lee at 1:10 lol
I don't think they'll write anything remotely good that'll blow you away and close to the technicality of the discovery. That is why they wrote TWDA, Soul Sphere and play warp tour shows, it's easier.
Sorry but there's nothing comparable to The Discovery. The best thing they released is The New Reign and The Discovery. Nothing beats The Discovery technically and musically speaking tho. You only need to listen to Behold and think about something similar to that... haha
Every metal band needs to go with the production and mixing that Chelsea Grin used on their new album. Apparently whoever that person/those people are, they are the only one(s) that know how to mix/master metal properly.
Ryan Foskey Those dudes slayed. The guitarist and bassist used to work at the guitar center in flint Michigan and I used to go there and saw them a few times.
Ben Threadgill Like any music it depends on your listening method. If you’re listening out of just ear buds or your phone almost anything sounds ok. The difference is when you listen out of good speakers. Chelsea grins new album is near perfect out of good quality speakers
Vilehell yeah man it's way too djenty for my taste, I'm more groove less chop. I was hoping they would have recovered better after Chelsea grin poached their lead guitarist (if I remember events correctly)
Everyone's negative comments are irrelevant. If you don't like it, go listen to Pierce the Veil or Nickelback. Another amazing track by an amazing band.
"Silence the Echo" = the settings on the noise gate used for the intro.
BERRY NICE JAM BROTHERS! 🍓❤️🤘

Erra, Northane, BTBAM and Born of Osiris, all within the span of a week.

Elisha Long promotion for the summer slaughter tour. Duh.

Ricky Witte wizard
also new Rise of the Northstar, Bury Tomorrow, Crossfaith and Chelsea Grin too!!
Rebirth?
0:26 the riffs is so badass 🤘
Sort of reminds of The Zenith Passage.
This is djentalicious. More please.
Hypercore Ripper Why the fuck is that check mark so big?
He checked himself
because TH-cam loves me?
Djent is dead
Djent ever say that again.
That chorus is dope! Well done Born of Osiris.

Basically the song title means Cut the reverb.

I think he was making a joke about how much reverb the track is drenched in?

BOO never disappoints, let’s all be honest here. 😍
Just as i get back into metal, my favorite band release something.
Dear SUMERIAN, Could you please put who mixed and mastered the track? That would be pretty cool of you.
whoever did it did a great job
I figured it was nick, I just wasnt 100% sure.

This is amazing, I haven't bought a BOO album since The Discovery. I definitely will be buying this album!
My day has barely just started and it's already going well. Thanks Born of Osiris, you have helped me start off the day right
I have discovered this band today for the first time. No regrets, except for not learning about them many years ago.

Dakota Miller you obviously haven’t heard machine or any of their previous albums after Disovery
Woah, wait, woah. The fuck I haven't, lol, they have a new sound, but they pull from both of those albums in this song.

OneSickDrummer there's barely any chugging. The fuck you smoking. Go back and listen to Throw me in the Jungle, then come back to this.
Perhaps re-recording The New Reign reminded them of their early style or smth, because this feels a little bit like it. Great stuff, guys.
I hope this is the case. Not to say there newer stuff isn't bad but it just seems cut and dry.
Even though it was written a long time ago; Glorious Day has been the best thing they released in a while for me.
How does this feel like The New Reign? I don't hear it...
OneSickDrummer yeah neither do I, it doesnt have any of the cool leads nor does it want to make me sock my 81 yr old grandma. Heres hoping tho
OneSickDrummer you 2 missed the point. He's saying it feels like eternal reign has brought them back to the more prog like feel to their music.
With how many people are saying "lit" in the comments it makes me realise how much the fanbase for this band has changed..
If the word "lit" was common back then people would have been saying it here too
Labedincoln yeah but a different kind of people, as I only know people who use it ironically and the people who do use it a lot I rarely hang out with as their chat is usually pretty shit.
Your comment is lit as fuck bro...
jk, by the way listening to BoO since "A Higher Place". Don't be a judgmental prick.
Right? Ive been a fan since back in 06/07 when BOO was Metal...now I dont even know what this is
Glen Nielsen sounds Progressive death

All of these good bands are releasing absolute bangers lately. What did we do to deserve this
Guitars almost reminiscent of “the new reign” love it
Have been with BOO since the beginning.. never hated on them once. Ever. Keep the music coming boyz 🤟
In case y' all were unaware, "this is reality".
- every-contemporary-djent-band-ever
These guys still be throwing hella bangers out got Damn! Much love for them. Seen them live so many time now stoked to see this played live.
Best album was new reign /eternal reign.
Every song from 1st to last was Gold
Drewsic8 I'm with you bro
My ears are bleeding trying to figure how this track is so tight with the kick and guits.... Keep it coming!!
Fuck yes. Loving the progression into more technical riffs and song structuring. You guys are killing it! Long Live BOO!
BOO is so fukkin solid, plus Lee is hands down one of the best guitarists there is. Great track.
1:17
Veil of Maya - Fracture??
Elisha Long yes 😂 except the fracture riff is 100 times better!
Max veil is dead tho
kasPWI not as dead as Born of Osiris in my opinion 😂
kasPWI not as dead as BOO
Max Except the fracture riff is layered with two different guitars and there’s no way for Marc Okubo to replicate that live without a backing track.
This is the first time I've been able to like this band
I hope they keep it up
I love how the intro of this song matches the album cover.
I've been listening to these guys since 10th grade, that was 7 years ago.
These guys are still making bad ass content, :')

Sounds great, the anticipation for the album drop is real!
anyone else notice that Ronnie's vocals sound the most clear they've ever been???? I can hear every word he's saying. ALSO WHERE IS THE OTHER VOCALIST
1:44
this band are full of surprises, and that sure isn't a bad thing at all
Holy cow, best thing to see when you wake up at 6 am
I remember seeing you guys in Norwich UK before you got to where you are now!! Amazing work chaps
Aubrey plaza is hot af
Nikhil Shakya You're goddamn right
Hijacking
indeed
She ain't hot but she's definitely good looking.
Nikhil Shakya Very agreeable
I have listened to this on repeat like 10 times now... love it!!
I love the guitar tones on this one
I wasn't sure about the song till it hit 1:44 and that chorus won me over
Heard this live first ✌✌
Gio was David there with them on stage?
Mr_V 85 he was not
was probably insaneee
Greg Zimmerman fuck yes omg. Sore ass neck the next day lol totally worth it
Nice, finally a song where I can hear the guitar do the experience.
Am I missing something here? Their bassist isn't pictured here
Edit: Nevermind, they mostly just cropped him out due to graphics on screen. You can spot him below Lee at 1:10 lol
Joel Look at around 1:06 next to the B
Joel I'm gonna sleep fine tonight
Joel I can’t see anything there
bassist arent people.
I still don’t see him
EDIT: found him
Great lyrics ♡ Open your eyes people..
I CANT DEAL WITH THIS I STILL HAVENT PROCESSED THE ASSLOAD OF NEW MUSIC FROM THE PAST WEEK
Periphery Riffery look what? Chelsea grin, btbam?
Never noped so quickly on a Born of Osiris song.
Technical level over 9k
is this technical ?? have you ever heard of Rings Of Saturn
This isn't as technical as the discovery.
Technical level: below Jason Richardson
This isnt technical AT ALL lmfao..
NoizyBonez way below
The riffage at the beginning reminds me of AAL - definitely inspired from last tour! Like it a lot!
This may be their best material since The Discovery
