Lots of New Parts for the Jeep Cherokee XJ

Bought a bunch of new parts for the 1989 jeep cherokee pioneer xj. Removed the old and Installed new window belt line weather striping for all four doors (they were old dry rotted and cracking and letting water run down the inside of the door). Added new side marker lights to the front end. Added a new battery tie down as well as got rid of the broken under hood light. Replaced the tail lights with a set of new reproduction ones. Replaced the fuel pump ballast resistor to try and quiet down the fuel pump. Also took of the cover for the rear spare tire in the trunk. Hope you enjoy the video and find it helpful if you have to do any of this work yourself on your cherokee xj.

those old underhood lights are kinda cool. cause you can take them out and move them around the engine bay. old chevys had them too.

I have seen first hand how capable the XJ can be off-road. I have worked on them for years. Simple and easy. Nice job with the updates you did on your Jeep!

Those were some crusty window belt moldings….I’ve replaced a few of them on my earlier Grand Cherokees….those retro fogs are gonna look sweet!

Looks great, but please paint that battery hold-down a different color. It doesn't match the engine bay whatsoever. Also might want to just bypass the ballast resistor. It's just another unnecessary point of failure...
