Thanks so much for posting this! The DRLs have been bothering me so much at night when I’m parked and don’t want to be bothered. Makes you stand out like a spotlight.
@@JealousLawnCare yes, it's only when you have the parking brake pulled up, so when you drive off it reminds you LOL I do it to stay dark in parking lots with the car running so I don't stand out.
Holy shit. This video was great. I’ve never seen anything explained so simply and straight to the point. It feels like your buddy walked you over to your car and showed you what you need to do, instead of a video that reminds you of holding the flashlight with your dad. I’m high.
DRLs may seem silly during daylight hours, but they are actually there to make it easier for others to see you rather than for you to see them. For those who dont have great (but still legal) eyesight, it could mean the difference between seeing you coming and running you off the road. If you really hate the yellowish DRLs, replace the bulbs with LEDs that have an operating voltage of 8-32volts and a color of 5000k or more.. LEDs typically stay the same light color regardless of voltage, unlike halogens (stock), which are more yellow when powered by a lower voltage like in DRL applications. Disabling side markers also make cars harder to be seen and can be grounds for a equipment violation (ticket) in some places. Be safe out there!
@@JealousLawnCare Hope ya sleep at night... Wonder how many Honda's now get into head on collisions from TH-cam viewers.. They are there so others can see your vehicle when needing to pass a slower vehicle or when weather conditions are not good. Tell your insurance company why the 7.5 amp fuse was pulled when your in a wheel chair and the kids in the back seat are gone and the other driver said she is so sorry about what happened but you had no headlights or DRL on in the fog patch..
Only if you change the signal bulbs to led, they should blink very fast then because of the difference in amps or volts (the car thinks the light is out and blinks much faster)
Side lights good for signal when lane changing . So if you get hit from the side make sure you document the side marker didnt work on his car . Been a law since 1968 . But hate the daytime runners. Cant sneek up or set with climate cintrol on without saying hey look at me Im in here .
@@JealousLawnCare I have a fuse I can pull but then it's always saying that the lights are out and I'm never putting the expensive bulbs in because of that
I have a 2016 Honda Accord coupe but if I take out the fuse I know the drl light will come up on the dash will it ever fuck anything up or will nothing ever happen because the dealership said not too?
Jealous Lawn Care they automatically kick on when it’s dark enough like they’re supposed to, i just thought by pulling this fuse it would make my Halogen Headlights my DRL’s instead... my headlights do work though
Gabe H - nah, the drl is actually a different bulb than headlights. Rhe headlights are actually on the outside of the other bulbs when looking from the front
Videos only 5 minutes long and people are still posting the “instructions start here” comments?? Those are probably the same people who don’t even offer a basic greeting when ordering coffee.
i have a 2010 tsx. will this work for my car too? i’m trying to make it so that i have no (yellow halogen) DRL’s but i’m still able to use my high beams at night
I installed demon eyes as my daytime running lights instead of stock on my accord 08 sedan but the DRL light came on my cluster, do you know how I can remove the DRL light on my cluster so it won’t show anymore but to keep the daytime running lights still running ?
You'd have to take apart the entire gauge cluster and I've done it to one of my Hyundai Tiburon but I never tried it on my Accord because I heard it was a beast and everything was LED's behind there already. I was going to take it apart to remove the door chime/seatbelt chime...so if you end up doing it, definitely remove that also! heh
Mohammad Hamdan -- yes, all you need to do is change the bulb color based upon the Kelvin scale rating (see link below) for your desired color. The higher the K the more blue the light will be. www.westinghouselighting.com/color-temperature.aspx
Jealous Lawn Care - now here is the thing, the 7.5 thing in my car is already removed I think because it’s exported to the meddle east, now I want to make the fog light as a daylight, so which one I have to remove , I hope I make it clear for you.
Mohammad Hamdan -- sorry it sounds like it's already modified and I couldn't tell you. You could bring it to your local Honda dealer and the service dept should be able to tell you quickly for free I believe.
Do you mind sharing the HID package and Lights you installed please. All new to this and want to change out the cloudy lenses and yellow bulb look. Thanks
Sure thing, the HID lights installation and other lights can be found here (details in the descriptions): th-cam.com/video/Jbum-MKW6i8/w-d-xo.html Enjoy! -Mike
Hey man in that spot where ur 7.5 fuse is I have a connector with 2 ten fuses in it and when I pull it my Drl's go off but my sound system powers down also, what can I do to keep my system on and my Drl's off, thanks!!??

1Galan -- oh yes sorry I didn't show that piece 😂 I never liked the look of drl imo. The only daytime lights I prefer are when you rewire the fogs to work independently of the headlights. Love that look!
@@JealousLawnCare right on...I have the LED bulb ONLY, but when I tried to replaced it with the original halogen daytime light, the bulb is not just the bulb it's. It has that socket attachment with it. I wasn't sure if I need to just swap bulbs.
I wish more people knew about this, but they don't lol I feel like it should've always been common instinct. Plus, I hate those lights during the daytime since they're near pointless when there's light out. Plus, you don't have to waste energy when you don't have to use them.
Hey Bud…there is a tool in your hood fuse box cover to remove fuses in your car, you are telling people to use a pliers… risking sparks and breaking the fuse… admit !
The only reason I want to Bypass/Disable DRL's, is, because is Annoying and Supid! Some places required that you drive with Headlights on, on Day Light, but no everywhere! So I rather to drive my Car with the Damn DRL's off, making my L.E.D's Lightbulbs last longer, & avoiding my Headlight Lenses getting Fried by the Light Heat! 😎😏

Definitely agree, I wish it had an off/on switch like normal lights
Turn off the car, pull up the emergency brake, then turn on ignition and the lights will not come on FYI
Is this a one time fix?
@@JealousLawnCare yes, it's only when you have the parking brake pulled up, so when you drive off it reminds you LOL

How did u turn off the reflectors on the headlights
I actually just disconnected the wire and taped it off. Quick fix to make it look cleaner

What about a 2006 Honda Accord vp
Sorry I don't have this model, can anyone else here help answer this question?

Ya im not sure if there's which specific fuse for your year, but definitely not worth doing if it will show the light out bulb
Use daytime running lights relay that can be bought easily on Amazon or eBay
Never knew about those, thanks for this option too!
How do I disable automatic lights on a 2009 honda accord?
