  • Alberto and Ian from the Biosphere Solar team visit manufacturer Soltech in Belgium. Together we are collaborating with Soltech to create the solar panel of the future. The main point of the test was to take the panel apart and test the ability of replacing individual components
In their warehouse Soltech manufactures a variety of different specialty solar panels. They range from being different colours and having different textures, but all their panels share one thing: they are all innovative. That's where Biosphere Solar fits in, we are on a mission to create the world's first fair and circular solar panel. We are creating a panel like no other on the market, one that you can take apart and repair.

This is a waste of time and resources. That module now costs vastly more, including labor and environmental considerations, than it will ever offset.

This is where innovation happens. Once the module has been fully developed, it will of course be produced in a streamlined and efficient way 🤔

If you only express cost in terms of financial costs of the solar panel. Once you start in factoring costs of environmental pollution, perhaps the image will become clear that this eventually will help us become more planet friendly..

Actually, the module cost at scale is not necessarily higher, and the lifetime is over 25 years. Who knows what the disassembly context in 2049 will be? In any case not having to deal with adhesive lamination will be a huge win.
