I think the movie could be improved. The girl was taking everyones illnesses onto herself and so perished. Then her community comes together and realize they have the same power and spread around the share of illness. Final message that you can't be a savior (there was only one true sacrificial savior if you want the religious message) but everyone can share the load. A dozen people only have to take on a little bit of someones hardship for that person to be "healed" and everyone comes out of it no worse for wear.
That takes away the entire point of the movie? The point was SHE wasn't healing anything. She did nothing but walk and pray. The Lord Almighty is the only source of healing and power.
That sacrifice wasn’t even real. Jesus wasn’t crucified, it was another in his place. God is infinitely merciful and ever lasting. He doesn’t need to do anything that the disbelievers claim he did for your sins. It’s unjust to have another carry or remove. So basically you worship a man.

I am an atheist, so the religious aspect of the movie seems like bullshit to me. But I cried my eyes out while watching this video. I always do when the plot of a film involves little girls getting sick or dying. I am a former soldier who spent 14 years in the US Army. I also have two daughters. The only thing I am afraid of in this entire world is anything bad happening to my little girls. That hasn't changed even though they are now full grown women with five children between them. When my girls were younger, I bought movies on DVD to entertain them (no streaming back then). Two of them made me cry and I haven't been able to watch them again. The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants and The Bridge To Terrabithia both feature subplots in which little girls die. Maybe I'm the only one that reacts like this to these two movies, but just the thought of a young girl dying breaks my heart.
But this randomly reminds me of the Manga I read about 10 to 15 years ago. I think it was called "Necromancer". It wasn't about a miracle curer, but someone who could lengthen the life of others or even bring back the dead. However, he wouldn't accept just anyone. Finally, there was a girl who found out about what he was doing and judged him for not helping absolutely everyone, because she thought he was selfish, keeping such an ability to himself. I can't remember everything perfectly, because it's such a long time ago, but as far as I remember, she helped him do his job, that's how she got all of those impressions on him and his work. She herself learnt how to do what he does, but only on the outside, with no knowledge about how these "miracles" came to happen. In the end, a guy wanted her to bring his daughter or granddaughter back to life. She did. A while after, he comes back and wants the same happen again, because I think the girl died again for some reason. But in the meantime, something happened and the Necromancer told her, that she was stupid for believing miracles happened without cost. To put it simply: to extend one life, you have to take it from another. So he usually takes money and life from the client who wants someone's life to be extended or brought back, but if the life isn't sufficient or it seems like a drag to him, he won't do it. Life doesn't appear out of nowhere. So when she was fine with helping the old man without taking anything from him, wonder where the life she gave came from? She shortened her own life, which, naturally, didn't sit well with her, so she ended up in a situation in which she had to help the old man again, since she was now even more desperate, knowing there was someone who could help him when no one else could, but they didn't want to do it anymore. For a pretty short story, that Manga was pretty good, which I probably why it stuck to me for such a long time, after reading it only once. Kinda reminded me of the whole "Miracles don't actually happen for free" thing.

This reminds me of "Weathering With You" where a girl sacrifices herself because people kept asking her for good weather (after praying at a Torii gate she could change the weather). But it came at a great cost: Her physical body. Basically she floats up into the sky after using up her energy and she gets rescued by the boy (love interest). She regains her physical body and she can no longer manipulate the weather (thank goodness). It's a magnificent film👏

dammn, i just teared up at the end. M really thankful to god, one time when i was walking inside lake, my left foot steppd on a pit hole and i suddenly started drowning and i dont even know how to swim. So my last option was to close my eyes and started praying to god. i just thanked him for blessing me since i was born until that day, but after i prayed i miraculously felt a stone on my left foot and i pullled myself out and i somehow survived my death. Trust me, God is always there watching and protecting u. i will never stop praying to god until my last breath
Sarah told her family and a community of people they needed to have "faith" in God to be healed, and I agree! She was pointing people to God by showing them the works that Jesus did that is still relevant for us today. She didn't want the attention on herself because she knew who should receive all the attention and that was God. She had such humility. God used the little girl to get peoples attention and will use whoever believes on his name. Have faith.

Wonderful story. It *WOULD* take the mind of an untainted child's mind and soul to have such faith! The blind faith of a mustard seed. The drawings could have been made to look more like what we expect from such a young person and the storyline would not have been affected at all. However, the skillful drawings may have also been given an artistic 'bump' in order to convey the purity of the situation. Artistic license, if you will. All in all a great movie and touching story.
So if prayer is such a powerful force and god can do anything then why make a movie and fabricate a bunch of “miracles” that have literally never happened? Prayer has never brought a dog or a bird back to life. It’s most certainly never magically healed a spinal injury. If it’s so awesome why make shit up?
Love this movie, for miracles "still happen" everyday. And for the record to whoever gave this outstanding movie this title, "NO ONE" accidently see"s God, for it by his will and grace that all things are possible. All you need is the Faith of a mustard seed and you too could move mountains or perform any miracle IAW Gods will.
This sounds like an interesting movie but I can definitely see some parts that deviate from the scriptures. Animals can't be brought back to life after death because animals don't have souls. People can come back to life after death so I see no problem there. As some other people have pointed out, when someone dies they don't go straight to heaven but await resurrection. If a person was to go to heaven their body would be transformed into an immortal body. Other than these facts this looks like a pretty good movie. I really like the fact that she told the people not to knell for her but focus on God. That's probably my favorite part of the recap. If God uses a person and they start taking glory for themselves God stops using this person. This is why we dont see this stuff in action.
You're correct there I just can't find or know of a place in the Bible where an animal is brought back to life. Animals can talk like a human though so it might be possible.
I wonder if you even realise that the word soul and the word spirit do not mean the same thing. The word soul comes from the ancient Greek word for sol (soil/earth/dirt) even the bible makes refance to this when it talks about man being molded from dust. There for the context of the word soul in the bible and toah means Body. So sorry to brake it to you animals have both spirt (the breath of life) and a soul (a body)

For a pretty short story, that Manga was pretty good, which I probably why it stuck to me for such a long time, after reading it only once. Kinda reminded me of the whole "Miracles don't actually happen for free" thing.

This reminds me of "Weathering With You" where a girl sacrifices herself because people kept asking her for good weather (after praying at a Torii gate she could change the weather). But it came at a great cost: Her physical body. Basically she floats up into the sky after using up her energy and she gets rescued by the boy (love interest). She regains her physical body and she can no longer manipulate the weather (thank goodness). It's a magnificent film👏

dammn, i just teared up at the end. M really thankful to god, one time when i was walking inside lake, my left foot steppd on a pit hole and i suddenly started drowning and i dont even know how to swim. So my last option was to close my eyes and started praying to god. i just thanked him for blessing me since i was born until that day, but after i prayed i miraculously felt a stone on my left foot and i pullled myself out and i somehow survived my death. Trust me, God is always there watching and protecting u. i will never stop praying to god until my last breath

Sarah told her family and a community of people they needed to have "faith" in God to be healed, and I agree! She was pointing people to God by showing them the works that Jesus did that is still relevant for us today. She didn't want the attention on herself because she knew who should receive all the attention and that was God. She had such humility. God used the little girl to get peoples attention and will use whoever believes on his name. Have faith.

Wonderful story. It *WOULD* take the mind of an untainted child's mind and soul to have such faith! The blind faith of a mustard seed. The drawings could have been made to look more like what we expect from such a young person and the storyline would not have been affected at all. However, the skillful drawings may have also been given an artistic 'bump' in order to convey the purity of the situation. Artistic license, if you will. All in all a great movie and touching story.
So if prayer is such a powerful force and god can do anything then why make a movie and fabricate a bunch of “miracles” that have literally never happened? Prayer has never brought a dog or a bird back to life. It’s most certainly never magically healed a spinal injury. If it’s so awesome why make shit up?

This sounds like an interesting movie but I can definitely see some parts that deviate from the scriptures. Animals can't be brought back to life after death because animals don't have souls. People can come back to life after death so I see no problem there. As some other people have pointed out, when someone dies they don't go straight to heaven but await resurrection. If a person was to go to heaven their body would be transformed into an immortal body. Other than these facts this looks like a pretty good movie. I really like the fact that she told the people not to knell for her but focus on God. That's probably my favorite part of the recap. If God uses a person and they start taking glory for themselves God stops using this person. This is why we dont see this stuff in action.
If God gave an animal life, he can bring it back to life. That is his choice.

I wonder if you even realise that the word soul and the word spirit do not mean the same thing. The word soul comes from the ancient Greek word for sol (soil/earth/dirt) even the bible makes refance to this when it talks about man being molded from dust. There for the context of the word soul in the bible and toah means Body. So sorry to brake it to you animals have both spirt (the breath of life) and a soul (a body)
