LYRICS
I'm six feet below this burning wreckage
of the life we used to know
Now all the hope we had is dying
From the moment we started
Every single thing I promised you I followed through
And just like a pawn would, all the moves that i would make would be at your decree
But every second spent with you has meant nothing at all
And now the gloves are off let's tear apart all our poisoned memories
I know i'm better off alone
Cause' I'm six feet below this burning wreckage
of the life we used to know
Now all the hope we had is dying
From the moment we started,
Every word you said made me feel that this was real
But still i was guarded
Not the first time I had Fallen prey to this cliche'
Every second spent with you has meant nothing at all
I'm left talking to myself where did I go wrong?
And now the gloves are off, let's disregard what I thought you meant to me
I know I'm better off alone
Cause' I'm six feet below this burning wreckage
of the life we used to know
Now all the hope we had is dying
Cause' I'm six feet below
I hope you hear this message
That to live is to let go
But still a part of me is dying
I'm more alive; I'm over being broken
Time has healed all wounds
I wish the scratches that you left on me
Were scars i left on you
I turned my back on the person you've become
And realized what it means to be forgotten
Be forgotten
I turned my back on the person you've become
Now Realize how it feels to be forgotten
So be forgotten
I'm six feet below this burning wreckage
Of the life we used to know
Cause' I'm six feet below
I hope you hear this message
That to live is to let go
But still a part of me is dying

Still poppin in 2023 all these years later ❤
Big facts
24 😢
I fell in love with a girl in study hall... and now the verses "From the moment we started,
Every word you said made me feel that this was real, But still i was guarded. Not the first time I had Fallen prey to this cliche' Every second spent with you has meant nothing at all I'm left talking to myself where did I go wrong?" Explains everything. It's crazy how much you can relate to a song. Amazing. lol
I just recently discovered these guys and I'm in love
MERCY Engage why wouldn't he be? they're still bad ass
Yep still badass
Same😭😂it’s sad that I found them off an ad on SPOTIFY
Too little too late. Their new stuff sucks more cock than tyler Carter
@@boibruh1115 shut up boomer
Respect that they did not do a bfmv
I love this band, they have heavy songs, songs in the middle and soft songs and all of it sounds amazing and their acoustic songs are amazing to
You should check out Hands Like Houses Music is heavy but singing is melodic it's awesome :)
I listened to them a bit. What I heard I like
Patrick Littlefield I might not be the person to ask because this band isn't really doin it for me, but I would agree that hlh is where it's at. They have way more depth than most of the bands considered in the same genre. The more you listen the better it gets, especially with their first album. To me they are kinda like the art rock of metal core.
I love hands like houses I've seen them live twice. Shape shifters is my favorite song and they opened with it the second time I saw them and it was perfect. They're great live and I actually met Trenton (their singer) and he's a really nice guy was really excited that we were into them
danny silva Thanks, they sound awesome🤘
I remember at my school field day back in 2016 they let us play a song for everyone in the cafe and we chose this song. This song was the best and had a feeling about it i can't explain.
This is better than a post-midnight taco bell shit with a clean wipe.
That was deep👌🏻 hahah
Jacen Hanks i hate you
Cool story bruh
@@jacenhanks7278 what kind of a name is Jacen 😂
@@austins.2495 Better than Austin. I know a pedo named Austin. Kinda ruined the whole name. 👍🏻
Have met them twice (hopefully a third time since I am seeing them on the 27th) and they are some of the chillest people I know. Their merch guy is such a sweet guy not to mention hilarious. And to top off their cake of awesomeness, they actually sound fantastic live! (which is a virtue these days)
Hahah their merch guy is awesome!! He took a picture of my girlfriend and I with Spencer at Warped Tour last year and the band singed my copy of The Predator Becomes Te Pray! Such cool dudes\m/
Am I the only one who is oddly in love with the scream at 2:33?
Semore Butts yells are a amazing vocal style. it can be used for emotional and heavy songs. which is why I put it in most of my music
What scream?
sagacityalex exactly? Like I didn't hear no screaming
tootie ratt tTere’s a clean note that fades into and out of a scream in the background.
Nope.
2023!!!! My favorite band for 8 yrs now !
these guys are the next big thing in metal.. i cant express how good it feels to hear a band who actually stands out to me.
*metalcore
@@thespethalone1950 I do believe Metalcore is Metal as the name states. Fucking elitists
@@GarettChamberlin lol no. Could you see black sabbath playing this kind of music? Fucking ignorant children
@@boibruh1115 Metalcore is a subgenre of metal. Your ignorance is much worse than theres to assume classic metal is the only thing that is classified in the HUGE umbrella that is the metal genre
YOU CALLED IT
I murdered the replay button. This song is just amazing. There is no other way to describe. I love Tyler's voice, and how everything mashes together perfectly. LOVE IT!!
Before Tyler Carter got cancelled. Ahhhh Thems were the days mang. ❤
nothing really negative about them on this page... astonishing especially on youtube. tells you where true talent is!:)
Here in 2022 and this is still one of my favorite songs if not my favorite
2020, we still jamming
100%
2022 now and I still love these guys
Damn I was here to say that
2023
@@user-xr6lt7ed2p still on my Spotify playlist
Spencer is just as good live as he is in the studio. He really is that good, even if he does use enhancers (which everyone uses in the studio). I've seen INK live, front row, and he was ridiculously amazing.
Seen these guys twice they played with motionless in white it was one of the best concerts I've been too Spencer sang with Chris motionless it was sick AF
Ice Nine Kills has been killing it since their Punk Ska years. =D FUCKING LOVE EM, I must admit, that they are the only band i've been listen to years and never disliked one of their songs.=D
I just found this band today via twitter. Spencer Charnas followed me on twitter, I saw he played in a band. I decided to come check them out. This song is amazing! Glad to find this band, even as late as it is from the time all this music came out. Any recommended songs? :)
Autumn Taylor MY personal favorites are 'The People Under the Stairs' 'The Fastest way to a Girls Heart is Through Her Ribcage' 'The Greatest Story Ever Told' and their recent release 'Me Myself and Hyde'
If you want their best screaming, Connect The Cuts and Red Sky Warning are the songs for you.
+Joe M (AverageJoe)
Communion of the Cursed has amazing screams as well
Stabbing in the dark
If you haven't listened to it yet their new album is STUNNING
Love em or hate em, can't deny they're tight as fuck..I played mad shows back in the day when they were still pop punk/ska vibes, and even back then..like 10 years ago, they undetsnad how to keep time and where to pepper in stops and gos and god damn Spences voice has just gotten better with time..thanks for the memories boys..let's hear BFG ;-)
why are these people so good....?
+Ariel D HUAHSUAHSUAHSU the lead singer is so sexy xD
Marco Arruda haha ikr
Ariel D man,i would go gay for him :v
+Marco Arruda I am gay for him
+Ariel D because they did it the right way, battled through and stuck to their style every step.
I just heard this blaring on the radio when I turned into the parking lot at Dollar General and instantly fell in love.
I don't get why they aren't more popular...>.>
they're indi
+Letamvano
No, they aren't.
its been 8 years and this is still my fav song... what makes it my fav is the music is so emotional. not only the lyric. a good song is not just from the lyric but from the music. the melody.
Same. This song simply never gets old to me
ong bro still a banger
It's truly amazing seeing this band grow and see all their accomplishments. They were the first band I really got into, and now seeing all their progress it's like watching a child grow. "What I Should Have Learned In Study Hall" and "What I Really Learned In Study Hall" hold a lot of sentimental value for me, and seeing the new EP featuring this song has made me more excited than ever and I plan to actually buy this EP when it releases. Can't wait!
I love this song this is the song I'll play at my wedding and funeral ❤️❤️ it one of my favorite song I'm so happy to have found this band
I was just eleven when this dropped out almost 10 years ago
Still loving it since day one
Weird seeing them get so popular, huh? They sold me a copy of 'the burning' outside a chiodos concert, which I still have, and I've been listening ever since
I can relate to this song. I am going to a church Christmas party on Friday and my ex-friend is going to be there. We got to only hangout once to see Halloween when it came out. After that, he literally has been giving me the cold shoulder since early November and hasn't even tried reaching out to me; ever since he got back with his ex, and she has problems with Christians and prayer before a meal. Well, if he goes and she is there, here is to What I Never Learned in Study Hall.
Seeing Issues and Ice Nine Kills tour was the best thing ever and now Tyler and INK have a song? I didn't think they could top that but... love Tyler and INK so much!!!!!
love ice nine kills
been listening to these guys since high school back when they just released dead is the new black. I'm super glad they finally made it and still sound like INK. yay
Yeah, I agree, I was really hoping for another acoustic from I9K.
this and the greatest story ever told will always be the best
loved this band before, still love them
Can't. Stop. Listening.
favorite band for the past 6 years. never once stopped loving them
12 years now?
BAM! Pregnant with a melody
never stop i love your music
2022 and i'm still here
It's funny to see that there's something in music for everyone to relate to... All the Study Hall songs. Remind me of this relationship that started in Study hall with me... And all the songs "What I Never, Should've and Really Learned In Study Hall" fit that relationship perfectly... Music is amazing.
This song is too damn good.
It's titled What I (BLANK) Learned in Study Hall, so why is it not acoustic? I'm sad now. I saw the title and was ridiculously excited (loved INK more than any other band when I was a post-hardcore fan) to hear another acoustic of theirs, but instead.....
they do have an acoustic version of this song
Who else thinks this is the best of the "Study Hall" trilogy?
Trilogy? I only know of 2 study hall songs
@@TheJokezOver this one
What I should of learned on study hall
And
What I really learned in study hall
@@alexanderfan9824 you have my thanks kind sir
This is the best one for sure. What I should of learned on study hall sounds pretty sloppy honestly and while I enjoy What I really learned in study hall, it's very short and sounds like an incomplete song. This song has the best musicianship and songwriting for sure in the trilogy.
@@alexanderfan9824 what album is what I really learned in study hall on?
Ever since I found them they are more on my playlists. It feels good to have a band which mixes horror stories and music in one.
I've been listening to this song for a while now, and I love issues. But I never new Tyler was in this song.
Yeah I can’t figure out where he is honestly..
Just kidding, @2:13 lol figured it out
These guys are awesome. Spencer is a really cool down to earth guy. I look forward to seeing them again.
i remember this being a whole entire different song, both are so good it hurts my soul.
Ink and Tyler together are life💕
man i miss their original line up , met these guys '08 mountain view warped tour. coolest dudes ever.
still listening to this. this is the most emotional song from ink
song of the day.
Was really hesitant about seeing these guys on The Welcome to the Resistance tour but now I'm glad I watched! Great band!
HOW MANY FUCKING SONGS DOES TYLER CARTER FEAT IN? GODDAMN.

Eric Brankey High And Low was such a great song!!
Not enough. Lol.
2024 and STILL my favorite band❤❤❤
I've always loved this band and seeing them up there on the main stage this warped tour... Idk I kinda felt like a proud mother ^.^
Saw them a week or two ago they were insane. Definitely a great band!
omg i was lyk "what i never learned in study hall", been there done that, then i was lyk "hey w8 a second.. what i never learned in study hall.." then i was lyk holshit that's different from the 2 acoustic shits so i basically had to give it a listen and now i'm in love, ty, you've done it again.
this song is so perfect I am going to cry
Is it bad I relate to this song
Goosebumps everywhere
Saw them the 21st of last month... more than impressed. Cannot wait to see them again!
2012 Fearless Records
I just recently found this band a few months ago and I'm very, VERY obsessed. But in a good way? I mean, if there is a good way 😂
Predator EP, Tyler Carter... Hmm...
I sense a disturbance in the force
My 2014 ost. Nostalgic
awesome song
Saw them live last night for the IX Lives tour in Allentown and omg it was so good they killed all their songs and this and Jonathan (the slow version) were so fucking great
Tyler Carter's an amazing vocalist, but Spencer Charnas has matured into one of the best singer/screamers in the scene right now. his stressed cleans and the way he controls his tone while switching octaves is ridiculous. this song made me fall more in love with his vocals rather than fanboy over Tyler's guest spot. not to say Tyler's not ridiculous in his own right.
I absolutely love this song and this band. I just saw them live and they are amazing live.
Unbelievable song!
One of my favourite songs
+Faith Rawwr
i think a year isnt too late to agree xD
Much better than the last song you guys released. Can't wait for the EP.
found these guys by accident. loved teh song!
Love this song. Awesome band.
I LOVE THIS SONG
The acoustic version of this on Take Action! vol 11 is beautiful.
I'd argue his back up vox are incredible, and will probably draw unfamiliar fans to check out Ice Nine, and stay because, face it, INK is great.
I saw these guys two days ago, and all I have to say is that they are fucking amazing live!!
This band is so good!
song came out at a perfect time for me, describes me perfect right now, i love it!
I can't wait to see these guys at Warped this summer. This year has a fantastic lineup.
This song is sooo nice !!
This is a perfect mix of the old and new sound!
Woooww sound exelent
Love the song guys. Many of us in Masses Beware are huge fans of yours. I have already re-listened to the song 5 times now. You guys are awesome.
Great song!!! Like always INK rocks it. Tyler Carter is a HUGE plus too!!!!
They do, man.
I've been a pretty big fan of theirs for a long time.
Look into The Burning album. It may not be screaming as how we perceive it now, but they still do.
I remember meeting you guys at a concert you guys did at xtreme wheels in Buffalo NY way back when you gave the paper back cds for free I am going back to the old great bands and I'm glad you and Hollywood undead stayed with the music and make better music than this new generations music..we come from the ear when music was still good though now most music is shit love guys I'm back to being a fan now that I re found you
Such an amazing song.
It sounds beautiful!
dude listening to what i should have learned in study hall then this is like the best feeling
This song reminds me of my ex boyfriend. We were bestfriends at first. He spoke so sweetly. He was amazing. I felt so in love and I thought he was too... I found out, everything he said were lies... 💔💔
A Day To remember vibe. but better. great song
Love it man. But idk i guess the times are different what i shouldve lesrned in study hall will aleays be my personal favorite
this is the only band I've liked longer than five years, and it doesn't look like that's changing anytime soon if this is anything to go by
Awesome song!!!!
I dont even like Issues, yet i'm full with song featuring Tyler Carter.
How have I not heard of them until now.. O_O
As far as I know there was only one piece of music KV ever endorsed and recorded: The Ice-9 Ballads. It was very different from this.
