- After 3.5 years on our Big Lap of Australia, the time has come to spread our wings. Van Life Europe is calling!!
In this episode we pack up our lives in Brisbane and head overseas. Nigel goes back to work in Saudi Arabia where he explores some more of the beautiful landscapes of that mysterious land, and Sue heads to her former hometown of London.
After dragging a bag to 7 different accommodation places in 3 weeks, I'm over it! I just want to be in a van again!
Eventually we both jump on planes again where we will meet up to get that van buying process underway.

We are Nigel and Sue (NaS) Adventures, a couple of outdoor adventurers. After living in a van travelling around Australia for 3.5 years on our big lap, we’ve moved to Europe to buy a new van and explore the highlights and hidden gems of this continent. Thank you again, love watching your vids. I am seeing new things, but also reminising about my own many trips in Australia and abroad. Travel is so important to me and I am hanging out for my next trip.

@@nigelandsueadventures I am busy preparing (renovating etc) and organising the sale of our home near Castlemaine, and relocating to Bacchus Marsh, so only some small weekend trips with my camper planned for next 6 or so months. Next big trip, is with my daughter, Iceland for 3 weeks September 2025, and we will be hiring a van to travel around the Island. I only recently discovered your videos, so love working my way through them.
I would love to learn more about your house and pet sitting. Sounds like an awesome way to get some budget holidays. I would love to spend a few months, even a year in South Wales (my spiritual home), but on my pension, accommodation I could not afford it. Maybe you could do a short video on that ;-)
@@glynnjarrett4220 How about that. I grew up in Bacchus Marsh! Iceland is high on our bucket list too, it sounds amazing. House-sitting can be a great way to get to know a local area. Yes that would be a good video idea.

Hi Nigel and Sue another great video. Nigel thank you for sharing the footage from around Tabuk, that is something that we will never get to see. Sue your house sitting was a great idea to keep you busy and also to acquire accommodation while waiting for Nigel's arrival. WOW, Nigel the scenery 50mi from Tabuk is truly SPECTACULAR. THANK YOU for sharing. I have been privileged to do Helicopter flights over the USA Grand Cannon, and many years ago Australian outback icons Flinder Range, The Olgas, Kings Canyon, Katherine Gorge, Kakadu National Park & Eyres Rock (Uluru). Not sure if you can still fly over some of these sites anymore but they are also SPECTACULAR viewed by Helicopters, rather than fixed-wing aircraft. Your video of the sites you has in this expanse near Tabuk was thoroughly enjoyed. 👏🏻👍🏻🙏🏻🙋🏻♀️🇦🇺 Sue Loved Charlie stopping you from working 😂, so clever. Thank You for sharing the London Sightseeing 👏🏻👍🏻🤣😂haven't been there for about too many years to say 🤣, Best wishes to you both on this new adventure journey you are starting.
Thank you!! Nigel sure gets to see some spectacular scenery. We did a helicopter flight over Kakadu last year during the wet season, the waterfalls were spectacular! Did you see that video?

I bet when you worked at that pub 32 years ago you would have never thought you would be sitting there 32 years later having a beer with your son. I guessed you were going to get a van in a different country and looks like I'm right!

So great to see a bit of London. I lived there in '86-'87. Was last back there in 2016 and amazing how much it had changed. And such a treat to have seen both you kids. Looking forward to seeing the new van 🎉
So cool! I mean some parts are exactly the same! I’m sure they are using the same trains with the same upholstery in some of the tubes!

Bit of a contrast in the accommodation at the end there, you by the sun-loungers and Sue in a pokey little room... Sue I bet you totally fell in love with the chihuahua - he was sooo cute and I laughed out loud at him stopping you from working 🤣 So nice to see London again - it's been a while for me too. Makes me want to go again. Did you have to join another agency for house-sitting in the UK or did you just organise them privately? I imagine your experience with various house-sits in Australia would be good for people overseas to know about. I think that's something we'd like to do for little stops around Oz when we finally do our lap. PS I had to look up what's in a porn star martini and am off to Uncle Dan's to get some passionfruit liqueur!! Looking forward to seeing your new van xx

Sue The Kings Head which suburb is that in? I use to frequent The Kings Head in Fullham the Guv was George that was in the early 80s.
Nigel Tabuk was where I worked in the mid 80s I recognised the landscape as we would drive 200 kms from Tabuk to Duba on The Red Sea for weekends scuba diving, it was absolutely amazing! Everything was segregated and very strict we would also get R&R passes to Aquaba in Jordan for an escape which turned into i & i ..intercourse & intoxication 😮😂

Yes it is! You have to pay for the toilet everywhere here in Europe! (Except McDonalds… that’s how they lure you in!)
