- In this video i will be using dye to repaint my bootleg shf tobey friendly neighborhood spiderman figure and making some custom venom webs

Only dye the joints, do not dye the figure. You must separate all joints of the figure( total 8)

Only if ShF was as bulky as the Tobey from 2007. This looks like a regular dude wearing the suit.

The heat was only to accelerate the penetration of the dye so the plastic can suck it in, no matter what heat as long as the catalyst element is absent, it won't bond, in this case 1-3% of thinner must be added to the mixture, to open the pores (lacquer / very strong ones) and the temperature must not exceed 60° (because thinner is alkana based chemical, so it has low boiling point), the time is dependant on the mass of the stuff submerged and the volume of water.
what kind of thinner?
So what I would say for the dye is, do it in 10 to 15 minutes, check on it and let it cool off. If the dye didn't sink in enough do the process again

honestly im not sure because other people did this and had no problems maybe you have to keep stirring so the pieces dont get too hot while sitting at the bottom

1st version with the horrible head sculpts BUT from what ive seen they have almost identical bodies the main difference is the head sculpts

yeah i made it i just quickly made it out of 26 gauge wire its meant to be venom goo webbing
Should long do you need to heat up the water?
10 mins till it boils then turn the fire down VERY low after it boils. and dont leave the figure for longer than 20 mins AND dont forget to stirrrrr

Mine broke idk how but the arm just snapped idk how to fix it and i dont jave a drill can someone help me out
Dye my first time this figure with my second original and... didn't end well as i expected because i melt the plastic leaving the figure too long.
I don't know how much should i leave the figure in because 5 min before the disaster i checked and it was some grey color and even with melt parts in the end the color wasn't as black as yours
Worth a try tho, now im copping a bootleg and will try this again
Has anyone some advices for the second try?
Someone said to keep stirring it, make sure it doesnt boil low low fire, and if the plastic doesnt take the dye take it out and let it cool off for a bit then put it back in the water
How did you shrink the plastic? If you know than could you tell me cuz i need to shrink something

Yo how hot should the water be i wanna make a shf venom suit spiderman also but its gonna be my first customization
low heat steam coming out but NOT boiling make sure to check the plastic every minute i dont suggest leaving more than 15-20 mins max
