I'm very thankful for Danny...but these prices are getting out of hand. Having to save for months if not a year for a family of 4 is becoming impossible in this economy. Raise money like you have been, stop pricing your fans out of tickets.

Yeah. This is insane. My ole lady and I were thinking about going to a game in November. Decided to try to get Tiks for the Kentucky game. It was $400 a piece! I’d rather save that $800 for a rainy day. Love the Vols tho. Will be on my TV every Saturday they play!

Tickets are already expensive, even the upper deck nosebleeds. The lower bowl and suites should be the only tickets with this fee. So many stadiums are pricing poorer people completely out. Pathetic.

Yeah, no. Why not take the ever climbing cost of tickets now and reallocate 10% of that toward the players? Go to UTC and get a ticket is nothing like going to watch UF or Bama. There is no base line. How are ticket prices split up now? What goes into the kitty as opposed to upgrades and so forth? If you want to be transparent then break it down because 30 years ago you could go watch a game without spending a weeks salary, but now there's no chance, it's really expensive.

Been a loyal Tennessee Vol fan for 50 years but cant support this. I guess im just to poor to be a Vol fan now. Ill root for them but the days of going to games is over unfortunately.😢
This is just ticket prices increasing which is normal. Every other school does this, but they are not transparent. At least tennesee is telling us the extra cost is paying players like nico to beat our opponents.
Tickets were already too high for me to go to a game. No different now I guess.

“Talent Fee’s” have always been built into ticket prices/price increases anyway.

While this is an increase for the fans, its also a way for fans to directly help the program. Tennessee fans will do ANYTHING to help the football program, so I like the decision.

A lot of these increases is because tennesee is good now so more fans want to come to the games, and inflation which tennesee can't do anything dabout

Instead of paying a player x millions of dollars before he's ever played a college snap then he doesn't care how he performs cuz he's already paid. We are witnessing the death of the Tennessee athletics programs
More than 15k on a season ticket waiting list, I think not. All major UT sports have sold out seasons. What Ut needs to do is find and develop and redefine inexpensive opportunities for fans, especially families, to enjoy the environment outside their venues. Make it unique.

They’re going to eventually rebrand all the stadiums with lame corporate names as well, in order to get the corporate sponsorship money. Mark my words on that. I was all for letting players sell their autographs or whatever but college football will become NFL Lite now. A lot of us prefer actually college ball over the NFL. I’m not even being dramatic or whining when I say this, but NIL happened at a time when my interest was already waning after watching college football for 40 years, and it’s eventually going to kill off my interest completely. If I wanted to watch pro ball I’d watch the NFL.

That is what's going to happen. This is only going to go up, they want to be one of the biggest spenders and they're not going to let it come from their own profits. As a long time Vols fan. Traveling out of state to come to these games for the school I love but man this is so disappointing knowing family with everything going up that it’s hard to pay the prices for tickets to take your kids too. So now tickets will be way too expensive. Not cool Mr. white

Nobody will embrace it. They will still buy the tickets because of the product on the field and the love for the team, but no one i've ever met will embrace getting fleeced to watch a football game. I hate that prices are going up, but this is a great recruiting tool across all sports. I think Tennessee is positioning itself to be a top destination for the best athletes across all major sports. The players are seeing this and know that Tennessee is caring about them.

I actually do like this and appreciate the honesty instead of burying it in transaction charges. As mentioned in another comment, I also expect UT to expand alternate venue opportunities, especially for families, to be a part of Vols traditions. Take the jumbo screen watch parties outside the stadiums to another level for those who can’t afford the ticket price. It may also be time to build another deck.

I LOVE college football, but what a f*cking joke. Kids graduate from college with a $200,000 debt. These athletes graduate with no debt. These players have already been getting paid through NIL deals and scholarships for most of them.... If Danny wants to cut a program or shrink some budgets, thats fine and should absolutely be done before hurting the fans.... Especially when a good chunk of these kids are getting paid more than most people make in 3 years of work.
