    I found that from pushing the start button to being able to drive, it's perfect time to take the seatbelt on

    I pressed the pre cabin button on key fob this morning & noticed it went on heat button even though I hadn't had that set up before! Does it adapt to the temperature? Or does it always just do that

      To be honest its been years since I used that feature, so can't remember exactly. But I think (as with most EVs of this age) it does a 10 minute heating session and its all predetermined.

      it think it's 10 minutes (or until it reach set temp , not sure) , i have the highest finish , and i can set heating temp in settings on the infotainement system

    Looking for clarification - I thought when you touch the brake pedal, in electric cars it starts with regenerative braking, then as you apply more pressure it uses the traditional friction brakes. From what you said in the video (if I heard correctly) you only get regen braking when coasting. Which I don't think is correct for electric vehicles and not true for this vehicle? What the Braking Mode allows you to do, it to drive as much as possible with just the one pedal, i.e. the accelerator. I.e when you come off the accelerater it can be set so that the motor aggressively slows the car down rather than allowing it to freewheel.

      Regen braking is not (wheel) braking - it is effectively engine braking and is an effect of having an electric motor, rather than a "system". The Renault Zoe is one EV where its slightly different where the brake pedal pressure increases the regen effect.
      On all EVs, when you lift off the accelerator, the regen (i.e. motor braking) starts. Pressing the brake pedal does also increase the regen effect to assist with the friction brakes.

      @@GoGreenAutos Thanks for reply, the point I was trying to make was your video seemed to imply that you only got regen braking when taking foot of the throttle and not pressing the braking pedal - which is not true. The point of the B mode is to brake more with the motor and recoup the energy, having to press the brake pedal less. Anyway, cracking little vans!

      2 years later but still , i have an E-nv200 , when you slightly touch the break pedal it produce more regenerative breaking absolutely sure
      if you are in D mode , when you start to break it produce more regen , and it can be feeled and shown on the dashboard ;)

    Top tip! To save time.. as you approach the vehicle hold the fan button on the remote, to start the heating. When you then get in and start it, it will start instantly, as the contactor is already in, supplying the heater.

    We can’t get the windscreen washer on our 2014 env200 to work. Tried every combination of push/twist/pulling the lever on the right. The water tank is full. Help!

      Check the fuse, then water bottle pump connection.
      But can you hear the pump running? If so, sludge in the bottom of the tank and hoses could be the issue.

    Does this machine regenerate when pressing the brakes too? I thought they did. I'd prefer it to coast freely when off the accelerator and then regen when I press the brakes.
    Good videos by the way.

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's not the way EVs work. Regen is effectively engine braking on the electric motor. Brakes are conventional hydraulic brakes.

      @@GoGreenAutos Hi Matt, My 28kWh Ioniq regenerates when using the brakes. This can be clearly seen on the power meter on the left of the instrument cluster. It only uses the discs to bring it to a dead halt or, presumably, in an emergency stop.

    • @GoGreenAutos
      @GoGreenAutos  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@duneplodder Yes it maximises the motor regen when you press the brakes, to assist a little, but it is applying the brakes too. All EVs operate in pretty much the same manor. If driving like that, you're not driving as efficiently as you can...particularly in a 28kWh Ioniq.

    • @duneplodder
      @duneplodder 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@GoGreenAutos Agreed that it's not the most efficient way to drive. I love the regen paddles by the way. I was just making the point that the brake pedal does use regen.

    • @catbiscuits690

      Thanks for the replies.
      But yes I thought these EVs use regenerative braking when applying the brakes too, as I have read that this is a difficult thing for manufacturers to develop the software, for a smooth modulation of regenerative and hydraulic braking when using the brake pedal. Thus giving you an option to maximise freewheeling when just off the accelerator, which can be more efficient and smooth in some driving situations. So I've read.
      It's interesting stuff though. To me at least.

    Do not be tempted to use full throttle from standstill, as the gear teeth in the differential cannot cope with the torque, and many many vans have damaged gearboxes as a result. Drive gently untill say 5mph then full throttle should be much less of a strain on any individual tooth of the diff🙁🙁🙁🙁
    Circa £500 to fix yourself with a secondhand unknown condition gearbox, and £ thousands of you get a dealer to do it.
