- It was so nice cooking with my mom. She’s such a joy to be around and I’m always learning new recipes, recreating my grandma’s recipe for Gurumba was awesome. Everything turned out delicious! Assalaam Alaikum. That's some great looking mangoes. They are so tempted to be eaten with some salt. Where I'm from gurumba/ gurma isn't something well known. I had it maybe twice. Your grandmother's recipe does look amazing. Your mom is enjoying the family, and she is such a pleasant woman. You guys are all blessed to have each other. Haven’t had this in a while now, my favorite growing up. Looking very appetizing. Gurma in Hindi means Jam. The dish is believed to have originated in the state of Gujarat, where mangoes are abundant. Thank You 🙏 rocky
