Mr Rossi is taller than I remember 😁 looking at you kit list at the end if there is any adjustment on the rear brace try slacking it off or even take it out for a test. It looks like it is resisting too much of the role and making the car v tail happy. Yes ultimately you have to slide an LSD around a corner because both wheels are going at same speed but from what little I can see in the video it’s breaking away before even getting close to making the fronts push on. Just a thought 👍
Just some M4 LCA's and a remap to go! It looks like a bit of a handful with the LSD but I suppose you have more confidence in the car and are pushing harder. Better than the snap oversteer on the open diff.
Its a rather loud little fucker on idle isn't it! I love it. I might get my m235i cat back sorted paired with a jb4! The bilsteins look amazing fella. Good job
3.5 seconds is a considerable amount, you can tell that your car enables you to have more confidence in what it's capable of so therefore be faster. The only thing that puts me off tuning my car (Mini 210) is what it could do to the re-sale value. It's a very small audience that would want that much extra after market parts fitted to the car and obviously means the car have been driven hard. Have you even thought about this and does it bother you?
Joe, really interested to learn more about how these work out - can we have a longer video review please? If you’re interested in a back to back with a standard M4, and M3 with the BMW Height Adjustable kit and M3 with the ACS RS setup, get in touch!
Good video thou 15k for 3.6 secs diff is not really worth considering the MOtech vehicle had 40 kg less weight if not more so realistically maybe 2.5 sec diff. Good content none the less Joe always a joy to watch :)
I am considering swapping my stock adaptive dampers for the B6 damptronic, but comfort is still a priority for me. Can you give some feedback regarding how the comfort mode feels with the new B6 damptronic kit vs the stock adaptive dampers?
If I understand correctly, these are replacements for the adaptive dampers? I have the stock (passive) suspension on my M140i, and looking for a little more planted suspension, and if possible a little less bouncy feel and not lose too much comfort. I used to have a KW V2 on my previous car (Mazda 3 MPS) which totally transformed the car. I have no experience with Bilstein. What would be recommended as upgrade for M140i stock suspension?
Congrats on your new car buddy! Unfortunately the camera must lie, my paint is terrible and my bonnet needs a re spray from hundreds of stone chips... I'm not great with paint care etc sorry
That would be very interesting - track time is fascinating but it only lasts minutes and I have a much longer drive home on a bumpy B road every day :). I got my M140 a few months ago, after years of front wheel drive stuff and I'm delighted by the cornering grip (in the dry!). Most reviews focus on the power, but its so much fun to push through a tight series of back road bends!
I have an M140i with passive standard suspension, I like the idea of upgrading the springs/dampers to something where the car will sit and perform better. I’ll never track the car so I wouldn’t even want adjustable dampers, what choice do I have?
There is a non-adjustable version of the Bilsteins that you can fit to your passive setup in conjunction with some Motech springs. Should be far superior to the stock setup.
@@nicholastoo7543And if your stock springs are sports springs factory lowered 30mm? Actually my Audi q5 has the sline suspension with springs already lowered 30mm from factory. Which bilsteins to choose? B6 or B8 ?
Loving the content Joe, Keep it up! What are your thoughts on the colour of the dampers. Is there an option to change the colour for example, as I feel that they don't match the blue M performance calipers, and look of the car (interior and exterior).
great vid, again. how easy is it to change rotors and pads ? if i buy from your sponsors, will they come with instructions? or you could just start a motech in canada...
Wow what a difference with the upgraded suspension und the LSD! The LSD looks like a lot of fun. Might have to buy one. Whats your opinion about the M Performance LSD?
Hi Joe great video, just bought an M140i shadow edition myself and enjoying it. But handling is not as good as my old M235i, little floaty. How do you go about getting the underbody brace fitted to the car. My BMW Dealership don’t seem interested. I would go to Motech to get it fitted but you can’t buy it from them. I can’t find much help on internet, so do you have any advice about this? Cheers dude.
Great vid, Joe! Proper upgrades and use of the car 👍 Did you took into account better tyres? Trofeo R or Cup 2 for an easy - 1.5 sec per lap! Keep us updated with some back roads impressions 😉
Thanks man! Been waiting for Michelin to produce Cup 2s in M lite sizes for years... Apparently they're coming early next year. Trofeos are too expensive and too track biased, I will only do a couple track days a year and wouldn't be worth the sacrifice, also deadly in the wet 👌
Joe, can you say why you have opted not to change the software for more horsepower? I just always thought it's the first thing people do with turbo cars. Is it fuel mileage or durability or something else that you don't like?
C est ferme pour la route tous les jours ,circuit selon tarage / puissance du b58 ,les ohlins sont très efficaces aussi en combinés filetés
Any one else watch this and instantly want to go for a drive?
Great video, will genuinely looking to these dampers!
There great !
After watching this video, I'm already aching to go to the local kart track tomorrow and trash the rental karts there :D
Limited slip differential makes a difference. I love it on my M235i. Great video!

Always makes me smile seeing you and Tony in the same video 🤣
Joe you’re the man, HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY!
Current dream car mate. Motech have some awesome stuff coming in and out of their shop. Great video
thanks dude
Bilstein use Eibach springs in their B12 Kits. I have them on my E92 335i and love the improvement they give in all areas of comfort and handling.
I really want a m140i
B6 and b8 dampers are the best on the market... fact
mattyrallye yep yep
Great vid.. !!!
I did not think it would be so much faster over a short track .
Tony you have skills as a camera man :-)
A question. Why not the b8? They are for lowered cars.
i’ve got the b14 coilovers on my dedicated track car, can’t recommend them enough
Great video Joe! would love to see some more track videos
Big difference. Awesome vid mate
Stef ABtv your next haha
RIP Rockingham, glad you managed to go for a spin there before they knock it down.
z00h the streets there can still be a race track haha
Bilstein b8 Are the Best!!!!
Just wondered how all these modifications affect your insurance, just looking to get the remus exhaust also keep up the great videos love the m140i!
Great video the performance differences are huge
Next up F80 M3 front lower control arms or/and camber plates ftw!
Ordered B16 damptronic kit for my m140i😋

I figure if he sold the car then he'd put it back to factory parts first.
Alex Oliver keep all the oem parts. can just as easily swap it all back. even if its been mapped they can put a standard map back on.

Great video as Always!!
Your best video yet Joe, brilliant
Top driving as always Joe
awesome video, loved it!
The diff makes the rear end very twitchy?
Makes me wonder if I really want one?
I am considering swapping my stock adaptive dampers for the B6 damptronic, but comfort is still a priority for me. Can you give some feedback regarding how the comfort mode feels with the new B6 damptronic kit vs the stock adaptive dampers?
B6 is mostly for gravel actually. So they are softer than B8. So no problem with comfort

Cars still looking mint Joe, would you be able to do a video showing how you care for the paintwork etc?

Can you tell me how the Motech springs are different from the Eibach springs sold for the M140i in the US? Perhaps they are the same?
They are not the same. The Motech Eibachs lower the rear more than the off the shelf Eibachs
So, if a LSD just causes more rotation in the back, aside from the fun element, what’s the main benefit?
Cool stuff!
Entertaining video Joe!
Rear end to stiff bud, sliding = slower, great vid all the same
spacer on the wheels hubs or the sturts ?
@JoeAchilles1 how would you compare b6 edc vs b8's which are most popular on m140i users?
Tempted with these...
Do motec do the alignment too?
Does installing B6 requires you to change the stock spring ?
No. Only when you go to B8.

The diff you are always referring to is the M Performance or the Quaiffe?
Does it still have bmw warranty after these mods?
Are they the maxton side skirts?
How do you compare b6 edc to b8?
What year model is this ,the m135i??
rear end too stiff / too flat. losing it in every corner.
is that a good thing? ;)
Lol 22:00 range 13 miles hope there's a pump at the track 😅
Hi, could you please tell me what brake rotor was it on the car? It does not look like standard m performance rotor. Thanks

@@MotechPerformance oooh💪 nice can i buy online?

hello, what about the height? it changed? or it's the same as the OEM struts/shocks?
You'll get same height if you don't change springs.
Joe how much is your insurance on your M140I ??
get sid in there haha
Why not use the M Laptimer App? It’s built into our cars and it’s pretty good. I use it on my M2 for every track day.
666 likes - not liking the video, dont want to spoil the number. Sorry Joe 😁
😂😂😂👌
You look like you could be Bradley Martyns Dad
Why not b8 ? B8 + your eibach springs = B12 :)
benjamin le don’t offer them with adaptive yet
Are these both stock engines without maps or jb4s??
Stock engines yes. Joe said he didn't want an engine tune to affect the warranty on a brand new car.
faisalleeds I picked a 140 up last week and to be fair they are fast enough totally standard , could de with a bit more noise 😀
@@karlkavos congrats on the purchase. I was considering a 135/140 as my next car but the insurance costs were almost double my Skoda Vrs!

N55 or B58 Joe?

ItzD3fW1sH haha sorry mate
@@karlkavos no worries bro!
Only downside to this car IMHO, the 3.0L engine size; I'm young so I get ridiculed on insurance.
I consider it the best thing about the car. Turbolag is the worst. There's no free lunch. The less boost needed for same power the better.
With size of spacer you use in front and rear ?
