    Thank you Andrew and the rest of the ISW crew for making very accessible libraries. I am a severely disabled composer/musician and Shreddage has helped me be the guitarist I have always wished to be. I have been with you since you released Shreddage II and I keep coming back.

    Congratulations Andrew 🎉 I am a huge fan of these types of videos as they help us connect with the individuals and heartbeat behind the code. The benefit of having many instrument developers is each one has their unique voice. Here is to many more years of success and innovation for Impact Soundworks! Joyfully Yours!

    Love the shreddage instruments! 🤘 I’ve made some amazing metal with them. They prompted me to pick up a few more of your design instruments over the years, and they’re all great. Looking forward to the next 15 years!

    As a proud user of Impact Soundworks' products for over 10 years, there are a few things I have to say here.
    1. If Will hadn't started the company, or if you hadn't met him, my life would be totally different today. I think over 70% of my libraries are from Impact Soundworks, because I'm always impressed by what you guys bring to the table. I probably wouldn't be as productive of a composer today either.
    2. It's extremely rare for me to find people where I live who appreciate music or music technology with as much depth as you guys do (read: I know 0 people of that kind EXCEPT from online). It warms my heart to know you and Will will continue to push the boundaries of instrument sampling and keep the age of detail-oriented musical people interested.
    3. I'm very excited for Super Audio Cart 2! I don't know if you remember but I'm still thankful that you invited me to help test Super Audio Cart 1 and Super Audio Cart PC way back then, as well as produce presets, in 2016 - 2017. Always an honor to work with any music-tech-savvy people like you!

    Love to throw support at ISW - Shreddage is a wonderful engine and the way you guys engage with the community is definitely noticed and appreciated. It's really neat to hear the story of the company and I always get a warm fuzzy out of hearing how others rode into music on the JRPG tide of the 90s.
    I also can't think of many tutorials out there that are more helpful than anything Andrew cranks out. You guys are great!

    Shreddage2 was my first ISW purchase in 2015. Since then I've added many other titles and really gotten a lot of usage from them! I'm in that amateur category and am grateful that the quality and affordability of Impact Soundworks is what it is. I think Andrew's live composing streams back in the day probably sold me on more plugins and inspired me to create stuff more than anything. Hint: do that again! :)

    @Impact Soundworks LLC. I've been reckless eyeballing and ear hugging Impact Soundworks instruments for over a decade..Make no mistake, they sound amazing. I personally can't afford them but they are not over priced.Your hard work and vision has changed how sample libraries are made. I can almost eargasm Impact Soundworks developing instruments on their own platform.

    i am an owner of Hydra and i am very happy with. what i really looking for the future is a library instrument based on unusually source like tools, nature sounds, electric style noisy sounds an so on, mixed with a granular engine and special sounding send effects on top.

    I don't own any Impact Soundworks library (although I did play around wit Shreddage 3 Free) but just this video makes the company so likable. It's passion, love and effort that creates these products. A fact that is found far more likely in a smaller market like the sample library "industry" than ... say diet fitness, nutrition and lifestyle products for example.
    Interesting that guitars and orchestral instruments are the most popular products. Please keep up the good work, your "spirit" and this thing you called "thinking outside the box" 😉 What about an UNDERwater piano?

    It's nice to hear something about your history and passion. Thanks for sharing. About new libraries or apps: what I still miss in regard to (heavy) guitar sounds is a dedicated (guitar) Feedback plug-in where you can program and alter different kinds of guitar amp feedback. I'm thinking of this as a variation on an ambient guitar or synth pad... with various pitches and note lengths. I know there's a plug-in from Blue-Cat-Audio, but I'm sure you guys can do a much better job! This may be a nice complementary rock / metal product for Shreddage.

    • @ImpactSoundworksLLC
      @ImpactSoundworksLLC  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      We've definitely had requests for SOME kind of feedback plugin or tool... figuring out the best way to do it is tricky, but it's on our radar. Thanks for the suggestion!

    Very good to know more about you, a very humble and simple beginning that you keep until today, and it is good to keep that spirit while growing in experience and development. Very happy to know more about you. The part I liked the most was when you said "instruments beyond Kontakt" hahaha, I long for the time (I know it's complicated and expensive) that you could develop your own host for instruments, custom made according to your own needs and without being tied to NI... I think the instruments could be exploited more and benefit from a more finished sample treatment and modeling, not only the new virtual instruments but even the existing ones. I will be closely watching you grow even more, you have my support and my blessings. Long live SHREDDAGE in particular!

    • @ImpactSoundworksLLC
      @ImpactSoundworksLLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you so much for the kind words! This year, our engineering team has done a lot of work in developing a sort of "framework" for virtual instruments. While it can be used on top of Kontakt, it's also platform-agnostic, so we could use it (to even greater effect) in a custom plugin as well.
      Physical modeling is certainly one interesting thing we could do with a custom plugin that isn't really possible in Kontakt. But I'm also excited about other kinds of real-time DSP. With Kontakt, we're (understandably) limited to the effects NI gives us.

    You're a good man Andrew. Been a fan for a long time, hearing the story of ISW only increases that.
    Have you considered looking into supporting something like UVI Falcon? I would think through it's support for LUA, you would be able to accomplish quite a bit in terms of your playback goals.

    • @ImpactSoundworksLLC
      @ImpactSoundworksLLC  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey Marc, thank you for the kind words. We've had our eyes on Falcon for awhile. I think it could be suitable for some kinds of instruments - far superior to Kontakt in some ways - not as developed for large (high sample count / RAM) instruments.

    My current issue is that I want to do a root+octave style power chord.
    This would be E3+E4 in this case so I put down an E3 in the midi piano roll and when I play the single note it will be played on the high A string 7th fret which I where I want it, great!
    The moment I add the E4 the problems start.
    When I do that the engine decides to play it on the low A and low E string, at the end of the fret board.
    This gets me a very undesirable tone and sounds awful.
    I've tried to mess with the force string option but no matter what I choose it keeps going to the low A and low E.
    I've tried different picking modes, fretting modes, hand positions, hand sizes, min and max preferred frets but nothing gets the notes to play in the place I want them.
    When I remove the E4 from the piano roll and only play the E3 it works flawless any time.
    I have no clue how to get Shreddage to behave as I want it to, does anyone have an idea?
