  • Merit America is a nonprofit whose mission is to provide a path to skilled careers for adults without Bachelor’s Degrees. Their programs are focused on what employers need most in the local community.
Before Merit America, Yves was driving a van transporting individuals with developmental disabilities to an adult day program. He spent some time in college but didn’t receive anything except student debt.
Yves already had traits that employers covet: he had drive, people skills, and was a fast learner. But these skills weren’t translating to a career.
Yves used Merit America to build a skillset employers wanted. He learned essentials like Office 365 and dove deep into networking, security, and system administration to earn the industry-recognized Google IT Certificate. He used his time with his coach and peers to polish his professional skills. And he kept his job through the whole program.
In less than a month after completing the IT Learning Associate program, Yves found a full-time job in tech with benefits, doubling his salary and putting him on a new career path.

I’m currently finishing up my IT Support program with Merit America. I chose the IT Support track. I started February 21st this year and I got my Cert April 28th. Now it could take longer but most of the curriculum is self paced. I’d definitely say it’s worth it for anyone wanting or thinking of trying the program

Why are all I.T. programs so unpopular? This, and Tech I.T. have less than and not close to 1000 views on youtube. Im interested, but the numbers look suspicious.

I don't think it means much. ABC, one of the Fortune 10, has only a few thousand views on TH-cam.

They have it on their site but from what I saw I believe it’s $350 monthly for I THINK 24 months.

From what they said on their site, unless you choose to pay up front, they have a $0 upfront cost until you land a job making $40k or more a year, and if you lose the job or your pay decreases, then the payment plan is paused.
