Motherhood is not an obligation, its every woman's personal choice. Its totally ok to be childfree by choice. Dont let anyone tell you otherwise. Stay Strong ! Your life, your choice ! #ChildfreeByChoice .
Bengali's are very progressive and intelligent Many years back I had a Bengali friend who was vegan and child free by choice, till then I had never heard these terms.
It is so inspiring... Being strong when time tests u, and more importantly, believing in yourself... It will me one of the most memorable interviews I have watched in my entire life... Thank u
One thing I will always disagree with. She said you can have a child if you really want to. But whay about the consent of another human being(the baby). Isnt it a crime to forcibly give birth to a human without its consent? If murder is a crime how is giving birth not a greater crime?
i have thought about this before. the problem here is that the question of consent isn't valid because the child is in a state of non-existence if you will. there is nothing to consent or not consent to. in the worldly paradigm it can't be said that it is wrong (or right for that matter) to have a child.
@@sg3918 but if after the birth ,if the child wish to not have been born after it grows up a bit then this would be valid and the consent could haven't be violated (if the child who wish to not being existed) if that child couldn't have been born , and even that is not the case of this hypothetical child then also not bring this child on this world wouldn't affect the child's choice to be there as she/he no longer exists

I also don’t want to be mother but always feeling fear of being alone at old age mentally not wanted to be physically dependent.but how can i manage my mental support. Please please guide me.
Build a network of friends, family, community, of like-minded people whom you can trust. Develop hobbies and interests that will always keep you engaged. Find a means to become financially independent and secure. These are some of the ways in which you can do it. Having a child just out of fear of being alone is not the right way to take the decision. Stay true to what you feel, and find a way to make it work ❤️
there's no logical reason to have children, it's simply done because you want them or you weren't thinking when it happened (i.e emotional). who will take care of you when older health wise - no guarantees in life and you shouldn't be selfish to want that of your own kids, you should have your own plans in place. your duty is to them not the other way around. inheritance and assets - no guarantee on how your child will turn out, who they marry if they do, and how their kids will turn out if they have them. money goes up and down, generations down the line, your assets will either be sqaundered or spread across so many people who as 2nd, 3rd cousins etc wont really care about each other, i.e it naturally divests from you. nothing is permanent. loneliness when older - a partner can definitely be sufficient but even without that... life is transient, you can't stop an argument at when you get older in 30 years time because to be alive as a human is not a permanent state. when you are dead the question of loneliness isn't valid, it's only for the living so it should not be asked as if unending old age is a real thing. you (as a human with this body and mind) will die at some point, get with the program and make peace with it. lineage will end - generations down the line, no one will give a shit about you, you wont even be a whisper in the wind and your so called 'lineage' will dilute so quick it's as if you never existed and your descendants will be as humans are to each other, strangers.
0:42 lol you think life of Prince is of more worth tha commoner. 😂😂😂 great. You just want privilege of not being responsible if that is the only reason. But anyways happy life.
If having a child is responsible behaviour.... not having a child is also responsible behaviour, it is not escaping responsibility. Infact being childfree by choice is more responsible because an unloved child will not grow up with trauma whose parents gave birth due to peer pressure, responsibility towards environment, towards other living beings (because earth is not property of humans...we share it with other living beings) and responsibility to our own personal mental, physical health.
@@aakanksharoychowdhury I agree to this 100%, I am not the aunty who goes on preaching people to have kids. Have or don’t, your choice, your choice of how to raise them whatever. But saying that I am no prince or princess to pass down legacy is bit shallow. Is their life more valuable? Does the life of common man not worth fo legacy. It definitely is. I have learnt innumerable recipes from granny and they are authentic. I learnt lost script from my grandpa. Many farmers produce seeds on farm, this is lost practice in capitalists countries. Legacy is not why you should produce kids at first place. But if you think a common life is not worth of legacy. that’s shallow. Read carefully, I am not against her decision, but the reasoning. May be she is young and I am older. I am not blaming her.

How is it a personal choice when there's another human involved(the child) whose consent and rights are being trampled upon?
